To discuss Maple Ave, you could bring up the size, this place is small!, the sustainable/local ingredients, the awesome service, the hip use of small plates big plates, creative dishes....
or.. you could discuss the food.... the damn good food....
We started with a special small plate - Battered Mushrooms, most awesome, very large, very tasty, not greasy at all.
The Beet salad was a very awesome, very artistic, very FRESH.
The Thai okra, surprised me... very light, crispy....
the Ponzu fish, whole fish, was tasty, but not my favorite thing, the rice and potato was very good...
Now for desert... the whole reasone we went... MOCHI... not just standard Mochi... Mochi, imported flown in driectly from Hawaii... kick ass MOCHI! we had both the Sakura cherry and the Chocolate peanut butter, BEST MOOCHI EVER.. hands down.. Get it!
I also had a Yuzu lime pie.. which was a very tasty version of key lime pie...
service was great/ knowledgeable.. i'll be back!
