So my husband and I get in these moods sometimes to drive aimlessly around Miami to discover new and fun things to do and see. One day we spent over four hours driving around Homestead and the Redlands, and we happened upon this place.
It is something that I would have never expected to find in Miami - fresh shakes, a real "farm" atmosphere with fresh produce, a petting farm, homemade shakes and pies, and so much more. The shakes are huge, costing about $5 each, but they are so creamy and delicious.
There are so many different varieties of fruits, vegetables, homemade jams and peanut butters...it really is one of the best markets we have found thus far.
Totally worth the drive down to Homestead for a lazy afternoon!

My office ordered a few pizzas from here last week as a special lunch for our charity drive. The location is great, right around the corner from Casavana in Miami Lakes, and the service is friendly.
Pizza is normally greasy, however this pizza was greasier than any I have ever seen. The boxes were literally soaked in grease, and despite multiple pattings of napkins, the food was barely edible. The prices are good - we got a deal for about $ 10.00 per large pizza and the pizzas were huge.
I don't think that we will order from here again, but if you like New York style pizza that is quite greasy, you might actually really enjoy this place. I read in another review that they thought the take out service was not so good, but I had a really great experience with them.

This place is huge and CROWDED, but if you're looking to do all your shopping in one place, it is probably a good place to go. I just would recommend during the day on a weekday, as otherwise there will be a billion families and teenagers running around the place.
We have been here often, usually to go to Texas de Brazil (before they opened the Miami Beach location) and most recently to go to a movie. I would not recommend the regular theater for anyone over the age of 18, as I am only 21 yet I felt so old and annoyed the entire time in the theater from all the younger kids. We haven't yet tried Cinebistro, but the 21 and over rule sounds much better, and we will definitely be checking that out for our next movie.
This mall is supposed to be an outlet mall, and while all the stores may not feel like it, there are quite a few options that are really worth the trip. My favourite is the Bath and Body Works outlet, which always has amazing sales. I never shop in any other location anymore because of the deals that I always find in the Dolphin location. The Banana Republic also normally has some really good sales.
There are literally tens of dozens of shops in this place, and while it is supposed to be smaller or less outlet-like than Sawgrass, I really prefer Dolphin when comparing the two despite the crowds. I'll write a review on the Cinebistro here once we're able to check it out, but for now I would say try another theater as the crowd here really isn't worth it.

My family came in from out of town for the weekend and I brought them to Bayside as they requested to eat at a Chili's for lunch. They thought the whole concept was nice, even if very touristy. But as other reviewers have mentioned, it really is a place mostly for tourists.
Bayside is a open-air mall, making it very hot in the summer months. There are a lot of touristy gift shops, a few regular stores (Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, etc.), a few of restaurants (most notably - Hooters, Chili's, Bubba Gump, Los Ranchos).
While walking through the corridors you are bombarded frequently by sales pitches for products, tours, pictures and other things. If you are in search of Miami "tchotchkes", then this would be a great place to stop.
Parking varies depending on time of day, day of the week, and season. The rate is usually between $5-$20. The municipal lots across the street have a minimum rate of $6 for three hours, but those lots can be dangerous after dark so I wouldn't recommend them, especially for people travelling alone.

I visit this place every so often for lunch because it is near my office. I love PF Changs, and while Pei Wei doesn't live up to the quality of it's more expensive counterpart, it definitely is reminiscent of it. Pei Wei is a few steps up from a normal chinese fast food restaurant, blowing Panda Express and others out of the water.
For the same price that I would pay in any other Chinese take out (about $7 per person), their food tastes fresher and made with more quality ingredients. I always order either beef lo mein or beef fried rice. The mongolian beef at Pei Wei is way too sweet and doesn't taste nearly as good as PF Changs, so I tend to stay away from it.
The Miami Lakes location always has really friendly, fast service and the restaurant itself is always kept immaculate, even in the lunch rush. I really like the citrus green tea that they offer in the fountain drinks section.
Great lunch place for cheap, fast and quality food.

Chili's Too - Miami Bayside
Category: American (New)
We visited Chili's while in Bayside Marketplace today for a quick lunch. They have nice seating outside on a patio which overlooks the marina, which makes for a great intimate lunch while watching the boats go by.
We happened to get a server who didn't seem very happy to be working there, she was very short with us and took an eternity to bring everything out. She took our drink orders with an attitude, and took over 15 minutes to bring us sugar/splenda packets (we had already received our food by the time she decided to bring it).
Other than the service, the food was decent (what you might expect of a chain restaurant, not spectacular by any means, but acceptable) and the two for $20.00 deal is a really good value. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, which were literally chicken (no marinade or flavour), onions and cheese on a grilled flour tortilla. I guess we shouldn't expect much more, but it definitely leaves room for improvement flavour-wise.
The dessert we ordered was the molten lava cake, which was really good. Vanilla ice cream over a moist chocolate cake with hardened chocolate on the top.
For $20 for two people, including appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert, you really cannot go wrong. If they could just improve on the service they would definitely earn three stars.

Mykonos Greek Restaurant
Categories: Greek, Mediterranean
We have visited Mykonos quite a few times for dine-in, take out and ordered delivery. The food is always delicious, and while the waiter service is normally very slow, they are usually friendly and the value makes up for any downfalls.
For about $ 25, we order hummus, a side greek salad, a side of gyro meat, and fresh pita enough for two to share. The hummus and the pita are absolutely phenomenal, and while I'm not sure if they are made fresh in the restaurant, they certainly taste like they do. I am often tempted to stop by just to pick up some of their hot pita bread.
The delivery service is normally quite slow to Brickell, about 45 min to an hour, but the food always arrives at the right temperature and the delivery personnel are very friendly.
Overall, this is a great little restaurant for a weeknight meal when you don't feel like cooking. I would recommend that the owners try to clean up the appearance of the building, as it does seem dirty at times, but that is my only real complaint.

If there ever were a time where I wish Yelp offered negative stars, this would certainly be the time. I seem to be a magnet for bad service, and now I am in a legal battle over this one.
In 2008, my fiance (at the time) and I went to this dental practice for just a routine cleaning and checkup. I had found their office online on the Cigna Insurance website.
After waiting for over an hour in the waiting room (although I guess that is about normal for any medical office), we were both brought into seperate rooms. I was seen by the dentist, they took x-rays, and I waited for the dental hygienist. A few minutes later, the front desk clerk came in to speak to me about pricing. She told me that I apparantly had everything possible wrong with my teeth and a million infections. She said that they could do half of the treatment today, and I would need to pay for that half up front. I asked the price, and she said the FIRST payment would be $500.
I said absolutely not, and asked to have just a regular cleaning, which I had already confirmed with my insurance would be a $25 co-pay. The clerk informed me that they would not see me without a minimum of $200. I declined all services and told her I would wait for my fiance.
I approached the desk on my way back to the waiting room and inquired how much would be his payment. She told me $135 (he had worse insurance, so I was expecting about that for a normal cleaning). I paid the $135 and waited for him to come out.
When he came out, I approached him to tell him we were leaving, as I had already paid. The woman stopped me mid-sentence and said that she needed an additional payment of $350 for some infections he mysteriously had.
Needless to say, I got in a big fit with the lady, she said that she would call the police if we didn't pay, and I (very stupidly) overdrafted my account to pay for it so we could just get out of there. Neither one of us were in the slightest bit of pain before going there, but my fiance's teeth hurt for days after they were finished with the unnecessary injections to his mouth. The cleaning only lasted 5 minutes.
I disputed the charge with Bank of America and the Better Business Bureau (to which the company never responded). Bank of America eventually refunded the money and I thought all was taken care of.
Turns out we receive a letter today from a debt collection agency chasing the amount owed. I just wrote the letter now to dispute the charge, and I will gladly take this as far as necessary.
Be careful what dentists or doctors that you visit. These people are obviously out to take advantage of anyone for a quick dollar, and I have heard so many other stories of worse experiences with dentists.
** UPDATE: Carla L. has been so kind as to point out the negative reviews on Google also for this place. Seems that there are others with the same story from this dentist office. BEWARE!!!

This was an absolutely amazing evening - so many different things to do and see, we only got through about half of the offerings in the two hours we were there.
This was our first Yelp event, and I know this makes me want to be more involved in the Yelp community!!
The food was delicious, Azul's dim sum offerings were our favourite (and apparantly the favourite of the party after seeing the long lines last night and the reviews today). Mai Tardi's panna cotta was to die for as well. We haven't yet tried their restaurant, but after last night and listening to so many people rave about their food, we are definitely going to give them a try soon.
As we were watching the fire dancer (AMAZING, by the way), we noticed the NCL Epic ice sculpture - and FREE MOET & CHANDON champagne!! We took advantage of this right away and give many thanks to NCL and Yelp!!!
The DJ was great mixing arabic/indian music with popular songs. The Indian drummer and the belly dancers were also really neat.
We got to the booths a little late, so the lines were very long and I wasn't able to get a henna tattoo, however all the tattoos that I saw were beautiful. We also passed by the hand massage booth and the Bijoux Terner booth to take a quick look. I am really amazed by how many different things were offered at this event. It was truly amazing.
All that said, despite any lines, it really didn't feel too crowded on the beach and I really couldn't tell if there were 500 people. This event was definitely well planned down to every detail. I have zero complaints. An excellent job, thank you very much to everyone who put this together and especially to Maria!! I really hope to have the oppportunity to attend more events with Yelp in the future!

This is a great place to come on a weekend afternoon for a tour and a wine tasting, buy a bottle of wine and share it out on their deck in the tropical foliage.
We haven't yet been able to go to one of their "Friday Night at the Winery" events, however I will be checking it out soon!
We have so far purchased the hurricane wine, the lychee sparkling wine and the avocado wine. My favourite is the lychee sparkling wine, really refreshing and fruity. The hurricane is a bit too sweet for my tastes, however I am going to try mixing it with sprite as another reviewer suggested.
