Cool Tops Cuts For Kids

Really wanted to like this place as it has the TV's and the Cars and the Toys.... but after two visits I will never go back here. If it's an emergency, I will cut my own kids hair and I'm the one who cut my bangs to the skin because first one side was a little too short, then the other was a little too short and... then I was Frankenstein.

First there was some confusion about the short in the back and long on the top... and she made it short of the top and long in the back. A mullet. Uhg. Even when I had her fix that it's completely choppy. It's so bad I have to take him somewhere else next week to get it fixed. He can't start school like this in January. It's that bad.

Old and dated.  ER night staff seemed riff with recent grads.  Friendly, but sorta clueless. Thought I was going to bleed to death while I waited for them to call the appropriate Dr who about crapped her pants when she was finally summoned.  I'll be driving to San Ramon next time I need urgent care.

One star for the cute decor.

But.... Is there a chef in that kitchen that is PROUD of what he cooks?? It was, in a word, gross.

In more words, my husbands words actually, the worse meal he has ever had at a place where you sit down and some one waits on you.

It was worse then panda express.

It's was bits of food held together with massive amounts of sugar. Inedible generals chicken. Fruity drinks sickeningly sweet and undrinkable. The fried rice looked like it was pre-chewed. Tasted like it as well. The lamb chops where so salty after eating them hubbys mouth was on fire from the salt. Did you know your mouth could burn from salt? Me neither.

I'm pretty sure the pupu platter was straight out of the box costco.

Seriously. This place was so bad I left pissed. And you know what?? My expectations were not that high! I'm in Reno. I'm in a casino. I'm in a theme restaurant. But how badly can you mess up fried rice and piña coladas??

Oh. Sweet. Mother of god. Don't answer that.

Holy crap.  When we did the cost analysis of moving to the East Bay from San Francisco, we totally forgot to calculate Fabulous Cheap Ass Apple Fritters available 24/7.

We are saving WAY more money then I thought.

One of the best things about moving to the 'Burbs? Having a fabulous Target not far from my house! And this is a swanky one!

And the worst thing? Leaving the house in the same cheap ass outfit as my neighbor (Howdy Neighbor!) cause we both shop for cloths at the same time as we shop for diapers.

Not that I wasn't spoiled before, but now I'm double spoiled with warm lotion and a moist towel on top.

Will be driving into the City from my new home in the 'burbs cause NO ONE does it like Silk does.  They even broke my habit of walking in and asking how long.  I actually book appointments now!

Love to go on Saturday with a couple friends and book the upstairs room and nosh on the free buffet. Fat, happy AND pretty!

A friend of mine loves this spot.  I think it's the wallpaper.  I made appointments this weekend for myself and the boy to get Mani/Pedi's together and while the service was OK, it was NO $50 a pedicure spa!  Oh god no.

Everything was all sunshine and flowers as they seated us and proceeded to give us each others reserved treatments.  I had reserved the Green Tea treatment - and he the Coconut one, but they totally mixed us up even though one has a decidedly MALE name and the other a FEMALE name.  For a $50 pedicure, wouldn't you think they would confirm that you wanted X or Y?

Either way, we both have cute feet now.

As soon as the girls were done with the treatment, they were OUTTA there.  No, helping over to the drier, no helping on with the shoes, no "thanks for stopping by".

Just a tossing of the tip envelopes as they moved on.

Dude. I just paid $95 ($75 plus $20 tip - I know - why did I tip so well??) for a mani/pedi.  I need a bit more affection for that price!  Plus!  I was totally looking forward to a deep condition to get my peds all soft and sexy.  Instead, my boy has the soft sexy feet.  Do I need to explain the problem here?

I think I'll stick with my local nail salon.  The wall paper isn't as pretty, but the service is Much Better and I doubt I would ever walk in for an appointment for one thing and get a different treatment and I would NEVER have to carry my own stuff to th dryer with wet nails.

Yummy Yummy Yummy In My Tummy Tummy Tummy!

Bronco Burrito is the not only the best burrito north of the mission, because there's no rice, it's also one of the smallest - making it ... human size..Get the super if you are a super human, or, hung over in mad crazy need of the burrito's healing power.  No matter which one you get your still getting on of the cheapest meals this side of Taco Bell.

The Bronco would be one of the best just for the juicy chicken and the grilled shell, and the over all fabulous ingredients.  IE. you never bite into a big ol' piece of chicken skin.  It IS the best burrito because of the yummy yummy avocado.  Nuthin ginst no guac, but I love me the unadulterated avocado.

This is a 5 star dive.  I would probably take away a star or two if I had to eat inside because of the smoke, but eating outside on the patio, heck yeah it gets 5 stars.  And they have both kinds of BBQ - ribs AND chicken.  A huge platter of both for $11.99!   Best deal in Vegas!

AND!  If you get a players club it's even cheaper!

Plus?  The boys love it when you return to The Strip covered in BBQ sauce.

Gotta go finish my leftovers....
