I give props to UCLA, they may have better programs in public health, law, business, medicine, and fine arts...all right even B ball.
Fine, per the US News and World Report for 2008's best colleges, they're number 25 and USC is 27.
But there are some things that make Trojans better
10 REASONS USC IS BETTER THAN UCLA
USC is the 8th most connected, high-tech campus in the US according to PC Magazine.
Trojan Family network. It has helped me professionally
Community outreach programs like the annual "Friends and Neighbors" volunteer service and the involvement of USC with the local community has earned the school recognition as a "College with a Conscious" as named by the Princeton Review.
USC's role in improving the surrounding communities earned the school the title of "College of the Year 2000" by Time Magazine
USC admits more international students, helping to create a more culturally diverse environment
USC was here first! Established in 1880. We have three campuses and one of the largest teaching hospitals in the nation. Have you seen the new state of the art LAC+USC Medical Center?
According to US News and World Report USC ranks higher in engineering (top 10 in nation), pharmacy, and social work. USC's Physical Therapy program is #1 in the nation!
We don't have stupid traditions. What is the point of yelling at the top of your lungs at midnight to break from studying during "Midnight Yell"? Why run half nekkid in the "Undie Run"?
People love to give us money! USC's endowment is a billion dollars greater than UCLA. George Lucas likes us so much he donated $175 million to the School of Cinematic Arts. Though Bruins SOM might have received 200 million, Trojans have received 5 nine figure gifts.
Athletics. USC Football. USC has had more Trojans at the olympics than any other university.
FIGHT ON!!!

I yearn for yakitori, it's my favorite styles of Japanese food these days. For location alone, I am a fan. Aside from Shinsengumi in Monterey Park there is no better place for yakitori in the SGV until Hinotori came along. Located where Sakana used to be, the decor isn't as modern or nice as SSG MP, but the yakitori and specials are a welcome addition to the city of Arcadia. With jazz playing loudly in the background, the restaurant has traditional and some innovative dishes.
They have kushikatsu which is the fried version of yakitori, it came with a skewer of pork belly, quail eggs, and an asparagus spear drizzled in a tonkatsu sauce base. We also had standard skewers of tsukune (meatball), which also came with a version with cheese on it (which I wouldn't recommend as it tasted like a cheeseburger), gyutan (beef tongue), butabara (pork belly), teppo (pork tripe), momo (chicken thigh), chicken breast, quail eggs, and some items from their specials like the special heart, eggplant and okra. My favorite was the chicken knee cartilage.
Tapas we shared included the toro toro negi omelette and fried chicken in ponzu. Carbs we had included the grilled rice ball, the onigiri didn't have the crunchy exterior found at SSG and a yakitori rice bowl covered with a raw egg.
For dessert, we shared vanilla ice-cream with hot macha poured over it, though the concept was great, the ice-cream was over pouring and difficult to taste the macha. Complimentary cups of roasted green tea came at the end of our mean, it was good tea.
Although not the best yaktori in the SGV, it is the best and only spot in Arcadia and prices for food and alcohol are comparable to SSG. I hope they do well and stay in town so I don't have to drive to Torrance to Torihei for my yakitori needs, at least they don't charge $1 for yuzu pepper here.
