Located in the heart of 5 points next to Earth Fare, the Royal Peasant offers tasty, British pub food at a reasonable price. The menu is short and simple but has something for everyone (although I was intrigued that they don't offer shepherd's pie). The fish and chips is a winner - soft, tender, flaky fish with crispy fries. It even comes on a newspaper print wax paper!
The waitstaff and bartenders are friendly and extremely helpful in choosing drinks/food. The selection of beer they have (tap included) is also quite impressive.
Will revisit again in the future to try the rest of their dishes. Overall, a great addition to the Classic City.

If it wasn't for the wide display of alcohol on the wall, you might have thought that you walked into a sports memorabilia store. This bar and grill on Broad street is filled with Georgia Bulldog artifacts ranging from jerseys, signed photographs to helmets.
Greeted by an apathetic waitress who seemed more interested in kicking us out as soon as possible and left on the job to buy more cigs, I could tell that we were in for a treat (note sarcasm).
The burgers are only offered well-done. No medium here my friends - not even medium-well. What does this mean for you? Dry, tough burgers that's not worth the $8. The steak fries that come with the burgers aren't worth mentioning - they're just frozen ones you can buy at the grocery store.
The sandwiches are served between French bread and considering it's bar food, it's not bad. It's a nice twist from the usual sliced bread and for the price and the size, you're better off getting the sandwich than the burger.
You can find better burgers in Athens but their sandwiches aren't bad if you're into bar food for lunch or dinner. Personally, I'm walking down the street to other restaurants specifically for food.

It can get pretty busy around lunch time so pray that you have decisive people ahead of you or you might be waiting in line for awhile.
