Don't know what I can say that hasn't been said better (Sharon N., for example), but I wanted to pay homage to Robert's in my own words. If you think that downtown Nashville (Lower Broad) is little more than a tourist trap, step into Robert's to hear old standards lovingly, playfully, covered. Plenty of eclecticism too--Brazil Billy does a great "Secret Agent Man." The Honky Tonk's long, narrow, chamber-like room allows for plenty of people watching, and funnels you onto the dance floor before you know it.
