Uncle Julio's Rio Grande Cafe

The food here was fantastic, everything was delicious and their menu had quite a variety of choices. The price was a little high but the food was very good. Some of the portions can be huge and some can be medium sized.
The waitress was very friendly and personable and the service was great.
However, be forewarned, the restaurant is loud. Very kid friendly if you have (or like) kids, but it also means that you can barely hear the person sitting next to you.
Also, great chips and salsa. The queso, fajitas and tamales we had were great.
Me and PG decided to be adventurous, she had frog legs and I had quail, both dishes were great, though the quail was a pretty small portion. Great food.

The Fractured Prune Donut Shoppe - CLOSED
Category: Donuts
The donuts here are amazing. Individual donuts are pretty overpriced, but if you buy them in a dozen the price is fairly reasonable.
The variety of donuts is unique and all of the ones I've tasted are delicious. If you are looking for great donuts and something a bit different, this is the place.

They do have some unusual menu selections and service can be a little slow when the place gets really busy, but the food makes up for it and some of the weird menu items actually look pretty good.
There is a great variety of food there and they have some food that I've yet to see anywhere but NYC: good bagels, blintzes, knishes, real matzoh ball soup and even marshmallow twists outside of Passover. They make big sandwiches as well.
This place is great. Good food and a fun atmosphere.
