I highly recommend the lunch special. 1 entree and an app for $7.95. I have a standard order of chicken pad thai with spring rolls. I know that I'll be going to this place as long as the food is good.

If you're here on a party night (Thurs-Sat.), prepare for the crowds. Yes, the cheap prices and general concept of this place drew other people with little money out also. You weren't the only one. This place gets packed. When it's packed, service goes down the tube.
This place gets marked down for inconsistent service as well as getting insanely crowded. This place is also marked down for being a bit out there (I mean, 10th ave. really?!) I guess they can offer everything so cheap with rent being much lower out there.

As long as you aren't in a rush, this place has views of the water, a large seating area, and TVs for the people who must always watch sports at a bar. I can't recommend the food, but if you're willing to get up for your beer (non waitress section) this place can be really great. This is a place to get a group of friends and settle in for a while. I'd be prepared to get there before sunset and stay till about 11. Make your moves early and secure your spot and you can relax all night.

It's a well thought out layout, but still tends to get cramped. Use this as a meeting up point for people from out of town and have a drink. But only one, otherwise, enjoy the bill.

Finally, the roof. Once you're up there, which can take a while, this is a great vantage point to watch all of the drunkards stumble up and down the street as well as knowing when jumbo slice isn't packed (which is almost always).

This place is great. I've been 4 times and have always been impressed by the amount of care that goes into my food. I'll have to preface this by saying that I'm a meat eater who hates seafood, so it makes about half the menu off limits. That being said, the meat dishes are all really good.
I'd recommend going with at least 3 other people so that you can get a good mix of the offerings this place has. If you're feeling adventurous (and not stuffed), check out a dessert menu. The portions for dessert are unbelievable. If you sit in the back, check out the spiral staircase

Words do not even begin to describe this bar. Imagine all the girls that were bound to fail out of your high school and college class. Now imagine those people having scars from fighting. Finally, imagine all those people decided to put on bikinis/lingerie and work at a bar. This would be your place.
To even call this a bar is difficult. It is grimy, disgusting, and just generally unreal. I mean, to "protect the merchandise" as the bouncer informed me, they keep a level of frosted glass from about 2 ft up, all the way to about 8 ft up on all of the front windows. I guess they had too many complaints of people throwing up from the sights inside.
Go to this bar if you'd like to see what the girls who weren't hired as bartenders at coyote ugly are doing with their lives. But always remember, this is Queens, so who knows what kind of trouble you can get in.

This place has a very interesting lay out that helps you forget all about the ice and cold of the outside. Walk in, past the flowing curtains that adorn the doorway and straight up the stairs to the bar. Yeah, it's a small bar, but it is more than made up for by the expert bartenders mixing great concoctions. Be sure to try to Jalapeno margarita, I love a drink with some bite to it.
After getting a drink, head to your table and prepare for a medley of meals. I recommend getting a few appetizers to start but your own entree. We ended up having the skirt steak and the chilean sea bass with a great bottle(s) of Pinot Noir. After all that consumption, dessert seemed like a bit of a step, but man, a good glass of port sure wasn't.
This place is a great spot to continue trying the China Grill restaurant empire. The food is great, the staff is attentive. I'll definitely be back.
