In SF for a conference & happened to get a perfectly-timed http://homerun.com offer that led me to NextSpace.  Quiet, very well-located for a conference in Union Square--easy walking distance but away from the insanity and distractions of the conference hotel, well-furnished and decorated, plenty of seating and table space, free (with admission) coffee, clean bathrooms, printing faciltiies etc.  A great place to finish up and rehearse my presentation.

Dead empty on a weekday afternoon in June which is fine with me.

If you are looking for a place to work in summer where you don't need to bring a sweater and scarf to fight off Riverside's obsession with keeping every interior space no higher than 65 F in summer, whatever the costs, the 2nd floor of the Coffee Depot is the place - ceiling fans, no A/C, & a very comfy place to work in shorts & t-shirt on a 90 F day.

feb. 2011 - sadly this place closed

REI in general is great. This store, though, is only about 2/3 the size of every other REI I've been to, and it shows in the selection -- I wouldn't say it's slim, but it's only a few items per category, and there are some categories (approach shoes! in southern Cal., surrounding by climbing destinations!) which aren't represented at all. I'll probably end up ordering off the website for in-store pickup here, but the retail experience was a letdown.

They do great work on custom screens, and know where to send you amidst the maze of builders' supply houses in Riverside (most within a 4-5 block radius) for items they don't have.

Despite looking much smaller than the big box home supply stores, Bauman's has a fantastic selection, incl. some obscure stuff (e.g. parts for an old manual garage door, a plastic spigot, lots of drip irrigation parts) that aren't available @ the big box stores.  Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff @ a longtime locally-owned business.

I pulled in here with a friend after climbing at H18 around 10 PM, an hour after closing.  A few staff were still inside cleaning up.  Fortunately, the owner (?) had pulled in a second earlier, with her kids.  She got out of her minivan and offered to take our order -- she said I looked so disappointed when I looked up and saw that the restaurant had closed an hour earlier.  She went back to the kitchen, got everything out of the storage fridge, & made us two fantastic carnitas burritos.  We were absolutely thrilled.

A really nice ballpark, but the management seems to think the fans are idiots who need noisemaking toys and a big sound and light show to get excited about a ballgame.  It was all pretty lame and deafening -- it left me with my ears ringing three hours after the game.  I would worry about taking a child here regularly -- you will probably cause him/her permanent hearing damage.

It's also pretty lame that there were open seats 4 rows in back of 1st base in the 3rd inning of a playoff game.

Fortunately the Angels lost their 11th straight playoff game to the Red Sox, so I could go home happy.

I arrived in Napa driving someone else's car....I wanted a newish car and really didn't want to deal with dealers...but Family Motors' listings on craigslist caught my interest.  Suffice it to say, everything the prior reviewers had said is true -- Bob said about 45% of his business is repeat customers and I'm not surprised at all.  I was very very pleasantly surprised.

It's at a Day's Inn, and I wasn't expecting much, but I had a decent pasta dinner at the bar & it didn't have the usual down-and-out motel restaurant vibe -- it was crowded, with a 40th bday party in the corner and lots of people drinking and having a good time -- this may reflect well on Dino's or poorly on the area but I was pleasantly surprised.  And the ravioli, garlic marinara & italian sausage were all fine -- they are serious about the garlic -- fortunately I am driving alone.

It was clean, cheap, very conveniently located & looked as if everything had been upgraded or renovated recently.  I was glad Cumberland Farms was two doors down when I wanted a microwaved burrito at 1 AM.

This review is based on the strength of the tuna salad.  Not something I normally order at a restaurant, but after eating burgers and dogs and eggs and bacon all weekend, I wanted something a little lighter.  This was fantastic - on greens with finely sliced carrot & red onion, served with white beans - no mayo or anything at all greasy in the tuna salad.  In fact it was unlike, and better than, any tuna salad I can remember having.  The fries were terrific as well, thin, dark, fresh from the fryer but almost dry to the touch.  Service was a little slow but it was late afternoon & the quality of the food more than made up for it.
