This place immediately transports me to my grandfather's old garage. It's a little bit dark, a lot of bit dusty but it is chalk full of the most amazing gadgets and whatnots and things that look sharp.
It's the type of place that makes me wish I was a homeowner so that I could give them more business. I do send the building manager there constantly when pipes leak water or the electrician when a light switch stops working.
Their keys are THE BOMB! I took a set that "mostly worked" (stuck a little in the deadbolt) and the copy that they cut managed to work better than the one I gave them! How did that happen? I assumed key cutting was like a xerox and that I was doomed to have some sort of key contraption but nope. Perfection.
Anyway, be patient and ask politely and be ready to explain what your project is. They probably know better than you what grain sandpaper you really need. In return they'll be patient with you. Case in point: As I was looking in my new wallet for a few pennies I said, "hold on, this wallet's new but I KNOW I have a penny," to which one of the bro's repsonded, "looks like you'll need to buy a navigation system."

They're packing up and moving to Boston. I have never in my life had a desire to go to Boston...until now.
I will really miss this place.

I call this place Tek Tek. Then I order Tek Tek, spicy with tofu.
The menu does not appear to be veg friendly at first look, however they will swap in tofu or tempeh when you ask. Be sure to have them clarify if there is any other meat product - one time I got tofu in addition to the meat.
My good friend from Indonesia introduced me to this place. She know the family that runs it back from her island days. It's cool, I feel like a VIP when I dine with her.
don't worry if you don't have a friend from Indo. They are still really nice and will make you tasty food.

Salt and pepper (or even just packets somewhere) and maybe having you grab your own silverware/ water would be a pretty neat addition.
I was curious about the cupcake, is it just 1 for 8 bucks? Is it worth it???
What really makes this place so outstanding is their fresh tofu soup. It's coconut based with the best lime / maybe lemongrass and I don't know what they do to this soup but it is so nourishing, satisfying and the best way to start a meal.
I also really love their curry specials that have pumpkin. If you see red curry and pumpkin - buy that.
Anyway, the soup is craveable, the staff is super nice and this is one of my favorite Thai places in SF.

Tender, flavorful and the best thing I've had from this place.
Avoid the burritos, and the torta. Stick with the taco and you'll be set.

I've been here twice as mentioned before they stay open the latest of all the other spots in a few block radius from my pad.
I really don't care for their burrito - it's too greasy, tough, and doesn't have a good flavor mix. The torta is huge, but again a grease fest. Also, I dislike paying 9 bucks for a burrito especially when it seems that the food quality doesn't match the price.
I have not yet tried the taco - I'm usually a to go person and tacos to go isn't as easy as it sounds....
Anyway, I will eat here again if all other options are closed - gotta give them props for late night hours and efficiently dealing with drunk patrons. Everyone who works there is hard working and friendly - I really like the dudes. I am also a fan of the salsa.

Hey - delivery from this place is pretty great! Fresh veggies and flavorful sauces. Good prices and portions. With a little extra veggies I easily made this into dinner for 2 nights.
We got food in about 45 mins which is pretty good and it was nice and hot. I also really like the containers - reusable plastic types that are great to use again and again.
Will order again when the mood for Chinese strikes.

I arrived with cash in hand to buy my pesos. I then got a curious look from the teller as he deposited my cash back into my account for the transaction. Went through the bit then realized, THERE ARE NO PESOS!!!!
Apparently this never happens. Whatever. It happened to me and I came back in a few hours and got my pesos. Not a huge deal, right off of BART so easy to get to.
I can't quite figure out the teller. He wanted me to change an account into another account without knowing my personal details. He then said I can get pesos from an ATM in Mexico...yeah I figured that but damnit if I wasn't getting pesos now, what would you be doing??
They don't buy back coins - so spend those peeps.

Folks were in town and my dad wanted to check this place out from no reservations. totally forgot to mention yelp and paid the 10 bucks for the cuban..
it fed 5 of us. that's right, 5 gringos stuffed from one torta. that's 2 bucks a pop.
others have mentioned the food porn in it's creation so i will save you. all i have to add is friendly service, friendly patrons and one of the best 2 dollar dinners ever.

We had such a great time cozied up by the fireplace playing on the super nice scrabble board. The wine hour is not to be missed and they don't care how many refils you get (which is good as I can be a lush). Dinner recommendations were solid and we were set to try their bonfire package but got rained out. Oh well.
Breakfast...Amazing. We saved the bottle of champagne Guy left us as a honeymoon present and made mimosas with their fresh oj. Super accommodating, I replaced potatoes with a poached egg and my husband made his own changes as well.
We had a room with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. We got more enjoyment out of the fire mostly because the tub was loud. But hey, that's just me and I can get cranky with noise. Our room was not right next to the lobby nor the highway and while I did on occasion hear the upstairs guests I fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night.
It's a drive from SF, gets super dark but now that I've written this review it really makes me want to return.
