If I must say, my friend and I went there at 11am to beat the line. We waited for an hour and it finally opened up at 12pm. It's HOT inside! So be sure to wear light clothes when you decide to eat there.
I absolutely love everything they have, especially the smash-garlic side thingie they make... Except, their ramen are not straight but curl like the instant noodles! That's the only one thing that actually put me down in this place. When I want Japanese ramen, I want the STRAIGHT ramen noodles.
And, this place is dominated by people who work at LA downtown during lunch time. So try to avoid that time.

This is the best place for ramen I've tried so far. It looks transitional-like Japanese ramen and the services are great too. I went a few times and none of the time they let me down, either on the food or services or...just anything! And their deserts are worth trying.
Writing this review makes me hungry...

If you are looking for a great ramen, this is not a good place, but it's still fine. It gets crowded during lunch time. My friend and I both ordered the ramen; they were like normal noodles but a bit towards the Japanese side.

An easy and small place my friends and I went last month. We only ordered the 25 pieces chicken wings and onion rings. The size of both dishes were huge, especially onion rings! We ended up finishing them all (but we have four people and it's late night). I am not sure about the burgers or sandwiches, but I will definitely go back to have the wings or onion rings.

I purposely went there at 1pm during weekday and it's still crowded like hell... It's pretty good; I ordered the original burger with bacon and swiss cheese and it's very filling with just the burger. Not to mention that I had to have my fries to-go. Fries are flesh. Burger meat is juicy and absolutely fleshly made. Next time I will try that Chicken sandwich my co-worker mentioned.

The beef soup is absolutely good here! I went with my four other co-workers and we tried three kinds of soup. I had flank beef soup; the meat has some fats too and the pieces are tender. I was already full but I still finished drinking all the soup. This is the place that is worth going back again and again.

To make it simple, me and my co-workers (work at Downtown LA) went there today around 11:45am. There are only 4-5 tables there, so if you have a large group you better beat the crowd. And we beat the lunch crowd and be the first costumers there.

We all tried the Chicken Soup. Too good for me to say anything else. Even with an empty and big stomach like I did today, I still couldn't finish the soup; what a shame. ;p But I ate the whole chicken and chewed the bones; yeah, Chinese way of eating a chicken. *lol*

Services are good too; the lady asked us a few times how we were doing, whether we liked the food or not, or if we needed more side dishes.

I don't really like katsu because it's fried... BUT, this place's katsu, GOT ME.
I went for lunch with my co-workers and we all ordered lunch special combo. They are like $11~13 and the dish size is HUGE; I usually ate a lot for lunch but I couldn't even finish the combo. And their katsu is so juicy and soft; it's just way more than I could expect.

What's great about this place is that it has TV for every table. I went there for my friend's birthday and watched the NBA there. I was amazed by their menu - it's in newspaper style! And this place has a LOT of food; it took us (like 17 people) a whole hour to decide what to eat. I ate the "Kobe Beef Burger" which is $13.75, which I think it's a good price for a big dish like this. And I enjoyed the services there; it was very busy when we went because of the Lakers playoff, but the waiters still served us very well.

This place and the dish size are a little bit smaller. Not a cheap place compares to other similar restaurants. But its beef steak is very special and good tasted.
I personally think this is more for couples 'cause it has a small and quiet environment.
