Why You Should Read My ReviewsI'm an average vegetarian
Although I had been to Palominos in the Crescent before, I had never actually gotten a chance to walk through it until last week when I was there for a party. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. The staff made sure to have vegetarian options available for the dinner-- mushrooms, yucca, avocado sauce, it was excellent (they could have given you a little more of it, since the meat eaters had a huge portion of chicken). The dessert was a creme brulet actually shaped like a crescent moon with berries and chocolate. I would definitely throw a party here or tell someone to stay at this hotel. Everything was a pleasant experience.

Neuhaus Chocolates
Category: Shopping Centers
The chocolate was excellent and the live music added some flare and romance to the ambiance. However BEWARE of the cabinet to the right which has chocolates as expensive as 50.00 a POUND. A little pricey for my blood, but it was decent chocolate.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
Category: Museums
The museum was a lot smaller than I had original anticipated, but the only area where I was disappointed was the sculpture garden, which only had like three or four pieces. Overall we enjoyed the pieces of art inside the museum and would definitely go back if another interesting artist rolls through town. Students get in for just 4.00!
Good to add to your day of fun in Fort Worth.
I wouldn't drive all the way to Fort Worth just to see the water gardens, but if you want to make a day of it and go to The Modern, the Kimball Museum, and the Water Gardens I would definitely make the extra stop. There are three gardens-- very peaceful. You can sit on top of "the mountain" and watch those below, or you can walk down the steps into the heart of the falls and listen to the rain sounds. If you want a quieter area they have the quiet pool surrounded by beautiful trees.

The only reason I skipped Clay Pit was because I was mad at them (long story). So to get back at them I decided to go to India Palace tonight. They have a large menu and decent pricing. Good samosas, and spicy aloo ghobi. They have the pancake style naan, meaning it is yummy. Great ambiance. I would definitely go back here.
Right on the strip you can get a big square thick crust slice of pizza for 3.48 cents. The pizza is decent and they also serve manicotti, lasagna, and salads. Decently priced, okay food right on the strip-- enough said.
So this place charges extra for everything, except for the free water bottles that the maids leave in your room each day. However, the rooms are are very home-ie. The gym is about 20 bucks per day, internet is 15 a day, and no there is no one around for free to piggie back free wi-fi off of (at least not on the 30th floor where I was). They have a food court with subway, sbarro, rubios, mcdonalds, and starbucks. They also have a great buffet, a steakhouse, and a cafe. The staff was really helpful and nice. I have no reason not to go back. If you have a ton of money, stay at one of the ritzy hotels, but this was affordable, nice, and on the strip. No complaints.
Beware-- vegetarians you are subject to a crappy salad or an ok cheese sandwich (only veggies they have are lettuce and tomatoes). The potato salad and coleslaw also leave something to be desired. My meat eating counter parts advised that the soup was the only thing that they would go back for. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Dinner Buffet:
As far as buffets go this was great and very veggie friendly. I am giving this 5 stars simply because of the large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. I loaded my plate with fresh veggies (which I topped with the Mexican section sides to make a mini taco salad sin carne), and broccolini, etc. The chocolate cake was also delish. Overall I was really glad to see veggie options. The curry and sushi were great, but the chinese rice and lo mein were so not worth the calories. I didnt even get to try to make your own pasta or make your own mongolian grill stations. I would definitely go back here.

This pricey joint is in the middle of the Monte Carlo. The food was good, but was incredible rich. First bite-- this is great, but after about 3 bites of each thing I was like- ooh this is too rich. However the bread rolls are like heaven. They are a puff of joy! Being a vegetarian (no entrees are veggie friendly by the way) I ordered the choose 3 sides for 24.00. I got the asparagus with parmesan sauce (thank God that this came on the side because it was really rich and creamy), the green beans (which were the least rich thing of the meal), and the baked potato with chives and cheese (talk about salty). My boss frequents this place and would probably give it a 4. She ordered a steak, a shrimp cocktail, and au gratin. She really enjoyed her food, but also agreed that the food was really rich.
Sorry folks we didnt try any dessert. However the menu looked pretty darn good.
Overall I would say it was okay, but I would just skip it and go to the Monte Carlo buffet.
