I stopped in here with a date for a warmer. It is housed in an old Victorian house which makes it very romantic. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was great. However, my date ordered the steamed milk. I took a sip and was blown away. The milk was steamed with honey and given a light lavendar taste. It was amazing!! I wished right then and there I had ordered the steamed milk and not my old standard, hot chocolate. We didn't eat, but perusing the menu, the food looked pretty good. I am definitely going back to this charming spot.

Absolutely the kind of place I think of when I think of a wine bar. Dark, earthy feel to the room, candlelit, very romantic and rustic. They had Malbec!! And in fact, if I remember right, they had more than one!! I only stayed here for a glass or two, but certainly will return for more.

I don't know why I like this place, but I do. Perhaps it's the fact that not only is the space set up to no matter where you sit, you can see the game--especially if you sit in on of the booths. Each booth has it's own TV set!! Or how about the pretty decent wings. Or maybe the happy hour PBR for $2. Or the fact that they have cider for we gluten intolerants. Perhaps the Trailblazer ticket and prize giveaways for EVERY Blazer game!! I have even met other Giants fans here!! The staff is really nice, although very slow sometimes. And watching a game with friends here is fun because they have always been able to accommodate any group size we've come in with and people love to cheer together. I always have a  fun time when I come here.

Love the intimate, almost rustic decor and mood lighting. Very chilled crowd. On-top-of-it bartenders. The drinks are impeccable. There must be about forty drinks on their specialty cocktail manu!! And there is something for everybody--gin drinks, rye, vodka... I love the champagne based cocktails, like the Vintage 75. Simply put, if you dig craft cocktails much as I do, you cannot go wrong here.

The bar is very warm and inviting and drink selection is great. I had dinner too and I must say I was unmoved. The mussels were kind of spongy and the ginger sake flavoring was kind of missing the mark for me. I also got the grilled chicken salad and the chicken was grilled...with NO flavor. The flavor was dependent upon the salad dressing and not only am I not a fan of salad dressing, but to rely on the dressing to tie the salad together in my book is weak. My friend had the special salmon which actually looked pretty good, but then again, if you mess up salmon, you don't deserve to be in business--so again, I wasn't much impressed. I'd drink again here, but I'll skip on the food.

What can I say? This is a no frills grocery store. Period. I like the fact that they're twenty four hours and it's pretty clean as far as no frills groceries go. I have to admit, I like going there on my candy runs!! They are great for last minute things you need to pick up like milk or cereal or coffee--nothing fancy.

This place is dark, scary, the waitresses are HARD to find, the food is all fried pub food and overall there is nothing overly special about this bar that makes it stand out. However, the waitress with the long, reddish hair is very sweet.

The sushi I've had here is hands down better than any sushi I've had in other places here in Portland and also Vegas. The cuts of fish are incredibly fresh!! I'm not even a fan of eel and with friends one night accidentally popped the grilled eel roll into my mouth and it was so sweet and flavorful. I asked what I had just eaten and was blown away that it was eel. So much so in fact that I'm going to order it again!! I don't need all the bells and whistles for sushi, so just the plain rolls do it for me. I recommend everything though because I've tried things off of friends' plates and have been pleased every time. And the biggest bonus here? They have gluten free soy sauce!! Rock on!!

The bar is your standard white noise pub (read: chain). I have two grudges: 1. no gluten free crusts for pizza. 2. The wings were INCREDIBLY salty. Think salt lick.

This is my favorite local. I was brought here by my roommie and walking up to the place, I thought that it was going to be kind of boring in there. The front is just so unassuming. But we sat down and had a few and I really liked the vibe. Everyone was chillin' out, drinking the great selection of beer they have which rotates. They have a few booths on the wall which are great for drinking and eating. They serve food which is pretty good, I've nibbled, but my favorite thing on the menu is the oyster shooters. YUM. The oysters are like the size of your palm!! And they are so fresh. What's interesting is that they also serve the menu of the sushi place next door!! And the sushi is slammin'. Of course I get up on the pool tables almost every time I'm there. And the tables are decent, the sticks are good too. The jukebox is awesome, yet when the jukebox isn't on, the bartenders play their own music and they all play great things!! I like the bartender that plays jazz. There are also lounge seats which are cool and tables in a pretty big space that can hold a lot of people in, or give you ample space when it's not crowded. And I dig the just the right amount of dark in there. The bartenders and even the kitchen staff are all really cool and friendly. Definitely a sweet spot.
