Soar Inflatables & Russian River Adventures

We had a great trip down the river. I'd really recommend this service to anyone looking for a fun water adventure.

Just be advised that the trip can feel a bit long when you're fighting a headwind with no current to help you along. Totally worth it in the end though, just be sure to put more sunscreen on your legs than you expect. Oh, and good shoes (over flip flops) would definitely help.

Best food I've had in Pittsburgh to date. I've been here 3 times, and I haven't had a bad meal yet.

My latest time there though the server got a little weird towards closing time (without first giving adequate notice of kitchen closing). Oh well, the food is well worth it.

Wow.

I haven't written a review in months, but this place was so good that it took me out of retirement, Jay-Z style.. okay, maybe Brett Farve style? (I'm just praying not Michael Jordan style).

In any case, the food here was exceptional. If yelp allowed me to dock them a point on service, I would -- but that's just because I think 5-stars means perfection. The service was good, but not perfect. French Laundry service is perfect.

I went with 6 other guys and I luckily convinced them all to get the Wagyu tasting menu (domestic). It was expensive, especially with the cheapest wine we could fine ($67/bottle), but 100% worth it. I think it came out to be $160/person with tax and gratuity.

Because we were such a large group the chef would allow us to sample everything -- 7 different appetizers, 7 different cuts of meat, and 7 different desserts. Of course when it came time for dessert no one had any interest in eating anymore.

Peter Luger's in NYC has long held my top-spot for steakhouses, and it'll continue to do so, but just because it's so iconic and traditional. When I want to have fun and eat a ton of variety (at a steakhouse!), I'll go back to Craftsteak.

Extra notes:
- Dressy in Vegas doesn't mean dressy. Jeans and a shirt that isn't a T-shirt is totally acceptable (and normal).
- The steak tartare here was the best I've ever had in my life.
- The place is really big, and not intimate. They do have booths, but I'd skip it for a romantic date.
- They have the best ice cubes in the world here.. look for an attached photo.

I liked the atmosphere of this place a lot. I also like the DIY get on the waiting list, and then grab a cup of coffee routine of going to this place.

I walk by Just For You on nearly a daily basis, always wishing I were inside eating those delicious bits o' fried dough.

What an awesome place from which to check out views of the city.

Also, for those photographers amongst us, with a wide-enough lens you can get a photo that spans from the Golden Gate to the Bay Bridge in one shot.

And finally, I love this tower as a compass (for if I can find the tower, I know which way home is), and as a gauge to the impending fog.

The tower by itself is pretty ugly, but at the same time I've grown to love it. I couldn't imagine anything else atop that hill.

Ate some pretty good Vietnamese there tonight. The wait staff at 9PM on a Sunday were surprisingly cheery and cool.  The food also came out promptly and in huge portions (more than I could've ever had eaten), which they gladly wrapped up for us at the end of the meal.

+1 point b/c the server dropped off a huge pitcher of water for us to keep on our table (as well as also making his rounds and topping off our glasses). I know it's a small thing, but when you're thirsty it's a godsend.

I went here with my gf after a barrel tasting event in Sonoma.  We were both extremely tired and hungry, and this place satisfied us just in the way we wanted.

I'm not going to say this was the best food I've ever had, but the service was just what we needed after a long (and tiring day). The waiter (this really awesome older-dude) saw that we were thirsty, and brought out a full water jug for us to refill our glasses. He was also perfectly attentive -- there when we needed him, and left us alone when he saw us deep in conversation.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a casual meal after a nice day in Healdsburg.

I had the privilege of going to MR. tonight for a yelp event --  what a fantastic time I had.

The people who worked there were absolutely awesome -- everyone was friendly, funny, and certainly well-groomed.

I got to spend a good 20 minutes chatting with one of the co-founders, as well as Robin the GM. I have to say that I was truly impressed with everyone's professionalism and enthusiasm.

I was also lucky in that I was able to get a sample "trim" from their lead barber. He was a chill guy, and made some conversation with me despite the fact that he was cutting hair for the last 2 hours without any breaks.

Overall, the place was cool looking, and staffed by cool people. I fully expect this place to do well in the future.

Best of luck to the staff of MR, you treated us yelpers well tonight.

Went here for a brunch...

Had reservations...

Arrived on time, and still had to wait upwards of an hour! Not only that, the hostess refused to update us as to what was going on... Just be a little forthright and I'd be a lot more understanding.

Oh well... the food was by no means spectacular, and I'm a veggie lover.. Maybe they were just too rushed or something.

I'd like to go back and try out some dinner options.

Went here with my gf the other day, and was somewhat disappointed by the service. We were seated right away (it was late at night), but once we were seated we were treated like we'd never want to go home. It took ages to get our water served, or explanation of specials etc.

I had the grilled Ahi tuna, which should take literally less than 5 minutes to be prepared, and yet somehow it took foooorrreeevvvveeerrrr. It was supposed to be served with a wasabi infused butter... but the balance was way off.. much more like butter infused wasabi -- (i.e. pure wasabi with a touch of cream).

In either case,  it's nice that they bring out free wine, although there's no such thing as a free lunch (or glass of wine), and I think the expensive entrees definitely make up that expense for them.

Would I come back? Maybe.. but with a much better expectation of what I was getting into.
