After 8 years on warranty with Royal Motors took my A6 here for the first time. Overall - very positive experience.

Yes, they did find more issues than what I brought it in for and yes it was costly; however, that was my expectation for an 8-year-old car.  The repairs were done within a day, all the problems I had were fixed, and guys were very professional.

Definitely will continue using them for any major repair work needed in the future.

They are a bit off the way but T-line makes it suck less and they happily give you 4 coins for a round trip MUNI ride.

One wish for improvement (if you guys do read these) is to have the car washed when it's handed back. It's a nice touch - easy to do and goes a long way: "here is your car - all fixed and clean and ready to be loved". Perhaps you just didn't have time; I'm still a happy customer and definitely recommend this shop to Audi owners.

I've been coming to this place for a number of years but think I'm done with it. The inventory is good and you can usually find what you need for any project. My problem is with prices, more exactly with price setting policy or the lack thereof.

You ask how much a thing is, you get locked over from head to toe, you get mentally classified on some scale from "struggling artist" to "yuppie", and then the price is named. Maybe this is B.S. but I've lately started to feel that I'm being taken advantage of because I look like I can pay a higher price.

If there was a price tag with $X on it, I'd pay it. But if $X comes out of thin air and is suddenly non-negotiable then I say "fuck this!" - you loose a customer.

Nadya of Photo NN provides professional photography services to families and pre-schools in the Bay Area. I've seen her work for several local pre-schools and was impressed with her ability to capture emotions and purity on kids'  faces. Beautiful portraits!  Family photo sessions were equally impressive - natural light, great locations, and love for photographing people that shines through.

Quizno's

I like Quizno's... I like their subs, I like their soups. What I don't like is being taken for a ride by some slimy marketer.

We got coupons mailed to our office for $2 off any regular or large sub. Valid before 2/15 at "participating locations".

"Nice!", I thought, "we have Quizno's just around the corner". So I grabbed 3 of these coupons and the first two got me nice tasty subs.

Today I stopped by Quizno's again and the cashier looked at my last coupon and pointed me at a handwritten sign that stated these coupons are no longer accepted (right below another note about plastic water cups now costing 35 cents).

Hmm, it's 2/13 and that was a participating location last week.  This sucks!

Not that I didn't have $2 extra or didn't want to pay full price for a good sub but would I be there if it wasn't for that coupon? Doubt it.

They got extra $2 from me but they lost all my future business.

Took my first Argentinian Tango class from Natasha tonight and really liked it. Studio is small but  that means fewer students and more time with instructor which is great for beginners like me. I'll definitely keep going there.

One of my favorite spots to hit in North Beach. This place is as Italian as it gets - great coffee, friendly staff, good local crowd and Italian music/movies/stickers/posters for sale.

They now have awesome pasta! All that's left is to start serving wine/beer to go with it and I'll definitely move in to live there. I hear they have applied for a license to sell wine so see you guys there soon.

Stayed too long at the Tomales Bay Oyster Co that day and decided to crash here on the way back to avoid driving at night in the rain.

Since we stopped by pretty late we got a great deal on the cottage they have on the property. After spending some time kicking ants out of the fridge, lighting up fireplace, and doing quick unpacking we discovered two things that made our stay so great:   1) a stereo system with an iPod dock and 2) a patio with a HotTub!  Yeah, it was cold and rainy outside but we turned on the jets and jumped in anyway. Great memories...

New Ming's Restaurant

The place is clean and definitely gets busy during lunch hour which I consider to be a good sign. Service is good and fast. Generous portion size for the price - excellent value!

This is your very typical "mmm, I feel like some Chinese" type of place that takes you from "hallooow, fo here o to go?" to "$6.50 please" to "Thank you for coming..." in under 15 minutes.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to convert the tables that seat 4 people to 2 tables that seat 2 each. Too often I see just one person taking up the entire table and people that are uncomfortable sharing a table are forced to walk down and eat in the downstairs dungeon.

Tempura House II

I've been coming to this place for lunch on and off for over 8 years.  First thing to say - this is not a place to get sushi. I guess you'd already figured that out by other reviews.

But I think lunch options are pretty good. Bento box has a well balanced meal - rice, small salad, vegies tempura, a piece of fruit, and either chicken, beef or salmon. Beef is crappy. Chicken is Ok. Salmon is good.

I think tuna donburi with sushi rice (#1) is also a good choice.

Bottom line: some good lunch options but I'd stay away for non-lunch food. And I'd never call it a "Japanese" mmm "restaurant"
