Yummy options for vegetarians. They even have a Dim Sum-style menu with tons of $6 selections! Great location with both outdoor and indoor seating on the river.

BOTTOM LINE: A bit pricey but the food is ridiculously fresh.

It's like a hotel inception. Four Points within Sheraton within Starwood.

Seems like a decent location - not in the heart of the city but not far from the interstate. There's plenty of parking and the front desk was beyond accommodating when I arrived. Free breakfast was included with my room stay and there's also 24/7 free wifi.

My room is spacious yet minimalist with a limited color palette of berries, browns and cream. There's a big bathroom, a work desk, a flat-screen HD TV and a couple of comfy queen beds - perfect for a weary business traveler. They have a wine & beer bar in the lobby, a fitness area and an outdoor pool.

I'm glad Starwood is making more hip, affordable places to stay, similar to their Aloft chain. :)

Did not live up to my expectations.

I checked in on Yelp simultaneously as I checked in at the front desk and a deal for a free dessert popped up. After at least 15 minutes of the front desk trying to duck out of honoring the deal by saying they didn't know about it and they didn't even know what Yelp was (Seriously?!), we finally got a slice of key lime pie.

The reception on the TV was terrible and the picture was all static-y. The facility seems kind of old, there was a weird smell in the hallway and I don't think it was worth the rate we paid. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

BOTTOM LINE: Next time, I'll indi-GO somewhere else.

Rooms are clean and comfy. Valet is the only parking option at $17/day.

BOTTOM LINE: The hotel is nice. Too bad I can't say the same for the surrounding Downtown Orlando area.

With tex-mex and mexican places on just about every block, I wasn't expecting anything special. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was here.

I had the mushroom enchilada and my table ordered a chips & dip trifecta that included guacamole, salsa and queso.

BOTTOM LINE: You will leave with a full tank.

This room was big enough for my entire family.

I checked in quickly then headed to 6th street. I came back and crashed in the bedroom with two double beds. I had my own big bathroom within stumbling distance of the bed.

I didn't even notice the other bedroom concealing a king size bed on the other side of the space until the morning. There was also a kitchen and a giant living room.

BOTTOM LINE: Everything really is bigger in Texas?

Update - 5/8/2012 8 Check-ins Here
F you, FLL.

Since when did the security personnel here get on such a power trip? I'm sure they were the second, maybe even third string since I was arriving at 8 AM on a Tuesday, and they felt like they had something to prove. I mean, it's not like any kids get excited and declare "I want to be TSA when I grow up!" Instead of playing school or playing doctor, they play airport, and make their friends walk through a hollowed out cardboard box and empty their backpacks because you never know if that teddy bear is stuffed with cotton or with C-4. But I digress.

I fly out of here a lot so I'm following security protocol, taking my pink bag of liquids out of my pink suitcase and separating my pink iPad and my Macbook from my backpack. I always travel with an empty water bottle in the side of my backpack because I don't feel trading one of my kidneys in exchange for a bottle of water in one of the terminal stores. Well this time, the blubbery TSA agent who seemed to be permanently attached to her throne of screen-staring power, yanks my water bottle out of the backpack, looks at about an INCH OF WATER (not exaggerating)  settled at the bottom and snarls "Is this your water bottle? You're not allowed to have water!"

I blinked in disbelief and it took me a few seconds to realize that she was serious. She gingerly hands the bottle to another Agent as if it was ticking, who then echoed the first woman's declaration. I wanted to say "Can you please tell me how an inch of water leftover in my water bottle is a threat, you stupid drone?!" But I really said "Ok well then you can pour it out." "NO, YOU can pour it out." she retorted. So I was escorted to the edge of security and instructed to pour out my INCH OF WATER in a trashcan about 10 feet away, well within visual range of anyone in "security."

I was about to go back through security the way I came out, and they told me I had to go through the whole process again. Seriously?! I was obviously annoyed when a Wyatt Erp-wannabe with a gray moustache snidely remarks "You understand why you have to do this again, right?" No, I don't. Please enlighten me with your infinite airport wisdom. "Somebody could have handed you something while you were over there." "I was 10 feet away. You all could see me." "I didn't watch you. You need to be adult about this." OK. Clearly, I was supposed to check my Logic at the ticket counter.

I guess in retrospect I can see their point. I could have trapped a flight attendant in the lavatory and water-boarded her for about 5 seconds. Or, I could pour it on the electrical systems in the cockpit and ruin the plane's navigation system. Curses! Foiled again!

I'm sorry. It's my fault for posing such a threat to National Security with my pink suitcase and my inch of water.

So the FLL airport and the world are safe from Terrorist Barbie. I don't know why I even wasted my money to go see the Avengers. We have every-day heroes right here in our airports. Bravo, comrades.

I live about 15 minutes from Miami International and I would rather go out of my way (at least twice the driving time) to fly FLL.

Less traffic, less people, less stress! Very well organized and easy to navigate. I don't think it's ever taken me longer than 15 minutes to get through security. Plus, my two favorite airlines, Southwest and jet Blue both pass through here.

The economy parking is pretty far away but reasonably priced. Before I got my own wheels, just over 20 bucks got me a GO Shuttle all the way from South Beach to the terminal.

I tell visiting family and friends they must fly through here as well, or I won't pick them up (kidding, kind of).

More like Signature Bland.

Came here for a company event and was not impressed. The décor was various shades of brown and tan. Nothing seemed to stand out, not even the oversized chandeliers. The seats were not comfy. The pinnacle of the breakfast was oatmeal with about as much flavor and texture as wet cardboard. At least the fruit on the table seemed fresh. Glad we had lunch catered from elsewhere.

BOTTOM LINE: Big, but bland.

I wish I had gotten to spend more than a single night here!

Their moniker is appropriate as various shades of blue appear throughout this boutique. I love the decor here - like a modern, chic beach house. They even take extra steps to be eco-friendly. (For instance you have to have a hotel key card in this special module for the air conditioning to work - I guess so it's not running all the time while you're not there.)

The service was fast and friendly and my room had everything I needed from a comfy bed to a big TV to free wifi.

However, I had a few minor hang-ups. First of all, their address didn't show up in my TomTom so I had a little trouble finding the place. Then I had an issue with the bathroom but after I called the front desk, a maintenance guy promptly showed up to fix it.

BOTTOM LINE: Can't wait to indi-GO here again! :P

Seridipitously stumbled in here during a Heat game and discovered their 79¢ taco promo. You can get beef or bean which tasted somewhere between Taco Bell and Lime.

Their menu features typical Tex Mex items that are served fast and cheap and BOO-YA they even have root beer!

BOTTOM LINE: Super cheap - you get what you pay for.
