* Great Donuts, That is All *

Great donuts, they're dense and sugary which equals great donuts. They have big donuts, small donuts, donut holes, fritters and more. All are good.

The only improvement I'd suggest is better coffee. Other than that it's a great place to spend a morning.

Oh yeah, don't confuse it with the other Rose Donuts down the street.

* Four Stars: FOR AIRPORT FOOD *

It's airport food, so my scale is adjusted. Usually the baseline for airport food is so low that something that doesn't make me sick is three stars. EAT was fairly decent so it gets four. If it was out in its natural restaurant environment, I'd get a three star rating.

I had the beef & ale pie with mashed potatoes and it did it's job of filling me up before my long haul flight.

If you're in Heathrow, EAT isn't a bad choice.

* Lunch here = Awesome *

This is mostly a lunch place for me. When I get lunch when I'm at work I have three requirements; cheap, edible and quick. Sher-e-Punjab meets and exceeds both of these requirements. On top of that, the food is good too.

I usually go with the one meat, one veg combo, or the veg combo. The curries range from kormas, to aloo, to gobi and all stops in between. From a meat standpoint, it's all about the Chicken Tikka.

So in summary, it's good, quick, and cheap. Go and give it a shot, odds are you'll see me there.

* With All the Pub Options in Oxford, There is Better *

There is one thing that sets The Crown apart from other pubs: The location.

Set on a central street in Oxford, it's the perfect venue for unsuspecting tourists. The food isn't bad but at the same time it isn't too good either. I tried the fish & chips and the steak & ale pie. The fish was soggy and the pie didn't have much filling.

I ate here because I needed to find a place to eat quick. If it wasn't for that fact, I wouldn't have eaten there. If you're thinking of eating here, search elsewhere.

* Not culinary masterpieces, but these Cornish Pasties are very good *

Running around and on the go in Oxford? Need a cheap meal? These pasties will do the trick.

I went with the steak & ale and a chicken pasty and both were delicious. Another plus is that while dining out in central Oxford can be expensive, these little guys were not.

Good food. Low prices. Quick. = Four stars.

* Play with an iPad, get a burger be a misanthrope. All at one time! *

Seems like in San Diego build your own burger places are popping up faster than weeds in spring, fortunately Stacked is a pretty good one.

The gist is this: you walk in, get seated, put your order in an iPad and ten minutes later, you get your food.

While this is a cool concept, the aspect that sets Stacked apart from other burger places I've been is the customization. The fact I could get a cranberry sauce, salmon burger on a pretzel roll (not that I would get that odd of a combo, but I could if I wanted!) shows there is a wide variety.

In terms of what could be improved, I'd like to see a little customization to the burger seasoning. I think they use a little salt, and that's it. I wouldn't mind having some pepper, garlic or onions added in. Small detail but that's just me.

Overall, it's a good place to get a whatever odd burger you're on a quest for.

PS: Try a Siracha-Mayo burger with and egg. Yum.

* Pretty typical California Sushi joint *

Just like a California Roll, you can find this type of sushi place all over San Diego/SoCal. They have all kinds of crazy rolls ie, Caterpillar, Rainbow, Newspaper (that's the one I'd invent), etc... Overall the food was ok and on par with the Sushi Delis and Nozomis of the world.

Prices are about par with everyone else, and the service was OK. I went there on a Friday afternoon and the server seemed overwhelmed and somewhat forgetful of things like plates, chopsticks and soy sauce.

I'd go back but probably if my normal California Roll type places were filled up.

* I really wanted to like this place but in reality I'd be just the same with a Hungry Man *

I love diner food. You walk in and can get food that you used to get from your grandma on Sunday night, that's what I was hoping Studio Diner to be.

It wasn't to be. I got chicken fried steak and my wife got the chicken pot pie. Both were pretty underwhelming. It wasn't bad, but really it wasn't that good. I have a strong suspicion that most of the food is from a food service place such as Sysco. I could be wrong but overall the food was meh. On top of it, it was expensive... I would have been better off just getting a Hungry Man meal from the store.

The positive side is the ambiance. This was one clean diner, plus you can tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail of the diner from the ceiling tiles to counter tops.

Overall, I'd say it's pricey, food was average but it was nice eating there. I probably wouldn't go back but I'm glad that I tried Studio Diner once. Show owner comment »

* A little piece of France in a business park *

You haven't been to France you say? What is is like you say? Come here and find out.

Rather than rehash what a lot of reviewers have said, I'll give these key points:

- Duck confit salad is good. Get the half size. It's about the same amount as the full
- Frites (fries) and a cup of soup is the cheapest way to go
- Don't get the Croque Monsieur to eat in a meeting, you'll feel awkward
- The pastries are top-notch they are all good, including the macarons
- If you're in a rush, call in the order and eat elsewhere as the lines can get lengthy
- Go here instead of Croutons as the food is similar but better executed here in my opinion

So come on by and join the bourgeois!

* Fantastic Parathas, really nice service *

Just to sum up what I've read about this place consists of one pro and one con. The pro: the food is very, very good. The con: they are understaffed.

I went had had a really good experience. Granted it was on a Sunday evening and there weren't that many people. Right when I walked in, the lady showed me the buffet which consisted of about eight veg items and six meat items. It looked ok, but I came in with the taste for parathas. I got a cauliflower and mint/potato parathas. They were awesome.

While I was eating a family came in to give the lady who runs (or owns?) the place a drawing that said that her food is the best. They didn't even get food, rather they just wanted to stop by to say hi. If that isn't a good endorsement of the food, I don't know what is.

With the food I had tonight, I can't wait to get back!
