My first experience here (only been downtown before) and it was a pretty good one. We got stuck on the far end of a row, but really this is a venue where there isn't a bad seat in the house. We ended up chowing on some appetizers which were tasty and reasonable for a comedy club, and the drinks were surprisingly good. The thing that impressed me most was the "shushers" who would go around settling down anyone who had a few too many and was trying to add their own comedy to the show. Love that movie theater around the corner, too-- makes for a great date location. Will definitely be back again.

Stopped here last monday before MNF-- the place was PACKED (great sign)! It is definitely impressively sized, and our wait that was estimated "20 minutes" ended up being probably half that for 4 people, so don't let that discourage you. The beer selection is just fine, and the service was surprisingly fast and friendly considering how swamped they were. The menu had lots of potentially tasty stuff, but I went with the pulled pork sandwich and snagged a couple wings off my friend. The wings are a great bargain, and the pulled pork, while a little light on the sauce, was also good. Would definitely go back, especially on sunday.

Wait, I haven't reviewed pat's?! What the???
I'm only here EVERY SATURDAY during college football season (it's the local Penn State bar)! Although I've been here for non-gameday festivities, my experience will focus on saturdays.  Long tables with plenty of seating (most games, except the REALLY big ones) but it's still best to show up 15 minutes before kickoff to get everyone together, especially with a larger group. They kick on the blue lights, flip their multitude of TVs over, and it's game time! Great music during commercials (who wants to listen to that?!) and the food is, imho, very above average for a bar. The cheesesteaks are quite good, but don't limit yourself; the tangy chicken finger sub is a standby. Medium should be large enough for most people with an average appetite. Don't forget to try the tastykake products for the full PA experience. Avoid the white touchdown shots (even if they tell you they're the "new ones"-- they're still pretty bad), but drink up when they're blue. In fact, I am making up an adage: "when it's blue, drink a few! when it's white, never bite."

It's another cheesesteak place. Having been at Penn State for 4 years and having a sister in Philly, I have had my share of authentic Philly Cheesesteaks. This place, for me, just rates as "not bad." It's a bit dive-y, which is part of the ambiance I guess, but the wait on my friend's sandwich was VERY long (nothing custom or anything that should have thrown them off) and the food itself was just OK. I've enjoyed Pat's (16th and Market) much more in the past, and am glad the Penn State bar is there instead of here.

The theater is fine - friendly staff, clean, a little nostalgic on the decor. My one gripe is that it is a small theater, only 8 screens, so it's not always gonna have what you're looking for. If, however, your film of choice is showing there I would certainly recommend it.

Tiffany N does it again (is there any event she throws that isn't a home run?)! I've had a great time attending, and more recently photographing, these events. The food was great, the music was awesome (am I right, Shawn N?) and the people were a blast. It really is a pleasure to come out and enjoy such a pleasant night. See you all next month!

Keep your eye out for the free beer. Always on Thursday, 6-6:30, generally once a month. The food here is great, although, they got rid of their pickle chips which I was a HUGE fan of. The rewards program is fun, gets you some free stuff which is nice to reward your loyalty. The beer is excellent, and they do samplers which is a great way to get a feel for what they're about. Certainly a solid establishment.

A fun bar with great waitstaff, good no-nonsense chow, and a super happy hour -- love those poker chips! They had a pretty good trivia night last time I checked, not sure if that's still the case. Plenty of TVs for sports, and a fine place for some food and drinks.

Let's start with the bad. It's a little pricey, and they won't take student IDs on friday/saturdays. But you can't beat the validated parking (4 hours), large number of theaters, and clean theaters. Oh, and of course, it's on 16th street!

I'd like to think I've been to quite a few metro airports, and denver is in my opinion, one of the best. The security lines move quickly, the employees are helpful, the transportation to the other gates is clear and easy. The restaurant selection is great, and the whole place is clean and bright. It's really a pleasure to come home to such a first-class establishment.
