Saturday afternoon, when we were craving breakfast for lunch, my friend immediately and without hesitation declared "TO THE TOAST!" -- and away we went. The parking situation is a bit complicated-- the main lot in front was full, so you have to continue to the right on S Rapp st, then take an immediate right (there's a small sign that says "additional parking" with an arrow). Even that was nearly full, but I take that as a good sign at a restaurant. There were 5 of us, and we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was friendly, the portions were generous, especially for the reasonable price, and the selection was awesome. If you're looking for a unique, casual meal, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better place than Toast!

Yum, yum and more yum! I had my first taste of the sweet cheba at the bovine elite event, and have since been back to their 16th st location for sandwiches with friends. Great food, awesome philosophy, and very... laid back... people :)

Some friends and I went here for a wine and nibbles dealie that they do on tuesday night, and it was awesome. The food was fantastic, the wine complimented it perfectly, and the staff were impeccable. After the wine/snack thing, we decided we were still hungry and pigged out (no pun intended... ok, maybe a little) on the thickest bacon I have ever had, along with a lot more delicious stuff that the wine has washed the memories of away. All I know is that I woke up the next day with a full, happy stomach and a slightly lighter wallet.

United Eye Center

Had my first eye appointment in a while, I think 2 years, and was lucky enough to stumble upon United Eye Centers. They have multiple locations across the Denver area, but being uptown this was the closest and most convenient. The staff at this location is very friendly and accommodating! Dr. Habhab was very personable and considerate, and the whole exam was quick and easy.
This office is full service-- UEC seems to specialize in eye surgery, but they offer contacts and glasses also.
My only dig is that their glasses selection is limited, especially for men, but you could certainly take your prescription to any place and find something else if they didn't have anything you liked. Honestly, it was sort of nice not being overloaded with walls of glasses, complicating the selection.

I've been back with friends and family, and this is one of our favorites. Their sunday brunch with cheap mimosas is a mainstay, and the food/staff is always beyond reproach. GO! NOW!

Went for lunch-- great food, fun atmosphere and service. I'll have to try the patio next time!
This review is for _this_ pasquini's. The pizza itself at any pasquinis is very good, and the breadsticks, as others have raved, are great. What irked me, however, was the inflexibility on their specials. The pizza isn't cheap, and when I asked to use a take-out/delivery special for dine-in, they wouldn't. OK, fair enough, I was trying to bend the rules. Then I wanted to use 2 of the specials listed online. Sorry, one per order. I was tempted to order one pizza and have my friend call back and order the other, but honestly, I shouldn't have to!
Come here, enjoy the food, but don't try and bargain them down.

If you go, try and get in Elsie's section-- she was friendly and the kindest person that's ever waited on me.
I went with a group of 4 of my friends for dinner last night, one of which had just spent his entire paycheck on paying his bills (rent, utilities), and upon hearing "I'll just be drinking water" was brought a free lemonade with a flavor shot. Then, when ordering, she brought him ribs, again, on the house. I have NEVER seen this level of kindness to neighbors from any restaurant, local or chain.
As for myself, I had the chicken, and the medium bbq sauce had me sweating-- something normally I don't do unless I have the hottest of hot buffalo wings.
My friend had the wings which were also very hot, another had the half and half with pulled pork and fish-- the food itself was awesome, and the portions were very generous.
I will absolutely be back (fun fact: apparently Joe Biden visited not too long ago). This place is an absolute asset to the community.

Wow! Let me just say how impressed I am with my fellow yelpers for such helpful reviews. My friend from out of town and I went out here last week, and we had a great dining experience. We tried the fries (of course!) half truffle, half mac-n-cheese, and that easily is a meal for two (if you add a dessert)! The entrees were also great-- I had the lamb and onion gnocchi, and she had a delicious pasta (whose name escapes me). We both had beers which were conveniently laid out from light to dark, all great local brews. The atmosphere and decor were very casual and laid back, a real great place to go and relax with a couple drinks. I'll be frequenting it!

Wok Uptown

They say you get what you pay for, and that is certainly a mantra I've found to be true-- especially when it comes to chinese food. Wok uptown may be a bit pricier than the other places, but the quality and quantity of the food is beyond reproach. I had the orange beef, and my friends had veggie egg rolls (they even threw in a couple extra) and egg drop soup. Large, tasty portions (and an extremely short walk from my place!) have ensured that I will be ordering exclusively from the wok uptown whenever possible in the future and recommending it to all my friends downtown.
