I kinda like this little airport. Yeah, it's small and you have to fly to a hub to get anywhere, but it that's okay. It's easy to get in and out of and the rental car pickup is just across from the terminal. Food choices kinda blow but at least there is a charming little Pennsylvania gift shop.

I happened to pick a day when there were a ton of school tours, but otherwise would have loved to go on the official tour. The lady in the waiting area was super nice though and she gave me the self-directed tour map and sent me on my merry way.
I hope to be able to come back and really spend some time checking out the intricacies of this national treasure.

I think everyone pretty much ordered a burger - loved the steamed then toasted bun. My burger came out a perfect medium rare and the applewood smoked bacon was right on. I dug their fries (especially with some vinegar).
More like a 3.5 - they get an extra nod for their beer selection.

Honestly, I am more of a fan of the adjoining store, with all its nostalgia and classic candy. I never leave without an ample supply of Goo Goo candy.
So, 2 stars for the food, but 4 stars for the store, averaging out to a solid 3.

When my order arrived and I unpacked the bag, I couldn't believe my eyes - the dumplings looked like the ones I love to get in SF in Chinatown. And the chow fun had home made noodles. Really? In PA? I never would have guessed that. So after taking a moment to get over how good the food looked, I actually ate some and it was sooo good. The dumpling skins were homemade as well and the pork flavor was good. The chow fun was good as well - not too greasy and packed with meat.
To make sure my experience wasn't a fluke, I ordered from them again tonight. This time I ordered the pork dumplings and the special pan fried noodles. The dumplings were on point (again). And the noodles were amazing. The dish was filled with veggies (broccoli, oyster mushrooms, baby corn, carrots) and three kinds of meat - chicken, roast pork and shrimp. The noodles were again cooked perfectly and the sauce wasn't too greasy or salty.
If I lived here, this would be my go-to Chinese place. Highly recommended!
We received breakfast and appetizer coupons (no Diamond Lounge, boo.) The continental breakfast that your coupon entitles you to is just okay, but you can upgrade to their full breakfast for $8. It is totally worth it to upgrade - I was really happy that they had Chinese dim sum items for breakfast (char siu bao, har gao, congee and sui mai). Other items we enjoyed were the texas style egg scramble, the meuslix and the extensive bread choices - my fave was the date and nut bread that I kicked up with nutella and peanut butter. We did hit the bar a few times - the upscale snacks (olives, pistachios and snack mix) were yummy and we found that the apps you could get with your coupons were a good light dinner. We ate other items off the bar menu (duck pizza, sushi, beef udon soup, french onion soup) and were fairly satisfied as well. I'm definitely a fan of hanging in the hotel bar, so the fact that we could eat there too good since we were loathe to drive to dinner.
We valeted the car because it just seemed easier and was not that much more expensive. Especially since they gave you free bottled water if you asked. Kinda worth it for the convenience of not having to park the car yourself.
I found their staff to be very helpful and generally just had a good experience. I will definitely consider staying here again when I need to be in this area of L.A.

Seems like the only dish that the co-workers ordered that wasn't a hit was the red curry, but that could have been expectations for a spicier dish. (Ask for medium spicy, people, you won't regret it.)
Would definitely return here to try more things on the menu if I was in the area again.
