Our burgers came up fairly quick for being ordered around the lunch rush. Our fifty-fifty though came right out of shoe string onion rings and sweet potato fries. Just amazing! They also had a great selection of beers on tap here (inlcuding the Thomas Hooker IPA and Blonde). I'll be back here next time I'm in CT!

Our order didn't seem to take very long to arrive at our table and I loved the ambience of the place and the quiet chatter of other restaurant goers around me. I could definitley see how coming here on a crowded day would be overwhelming though since it's a tiny space.
I'll definitely be back to try some of their other hot sandwiches!

On the other hand, I have never really enjoyed the food here. In my opinion there menu has too much food on it. In reality you can't be good at everything you serve and cook and you serve and cook too much. Just pick a few things to be good at. Sometimes there's also too much hustle and bustle throughout the dining area even when it doesn't seem packed.
All in all though, you won't be disappointed to come here and just have a few brews. Hale's also throws a mean Winter Beer Festival in their Palladium around back. So be sure to check that out!

We decided to build our own pizza because most of the specials had a few toppings we would have taken off anyway. We chose a roasted red pepper, green pepper, onions, and sausage for our toppings. The pizza came out piping hot and the crust was very soft and easy to bite into. This place is a solid 3 starts for their good pizza!

Anyway, my sister picked up a 4-pack of cupcakes and they were just amazing. I love cupcakes but have never been a real fan of frosting. Yellow Leaf's frosting was unlike any kind of frosting I have ever tasted. It was light and fluffy and didn't overpower the cake it was paired with. I'll definitely head back here to try more of their flavors. So far my favorite one was the cinnamon one!

Next time I might try some of their other chowders but just can't stop thinking about the clam chowder. Mmmmmmm

Beware that the large fries are VERY LARGE. We split the Cajun fries and regular fries among 5 people and it was plenty. Our burgers were juicy and filled with all the toppings and condiments you could possibly want. Thankfully, Five Guys just opened near us at home in Seattle. We'll be back for sure!

They have a good selection of draft beers and some really good wines. We ordered the steamed clams appetizer (which I guess is 1/2 price during happy hour...only $6) and it was amazing! Amos kept the breading coming so we could dip it into the butter sauce leftover from the clams. Even though the dinner meal seemed a bit pricey, I'd like to come back and try it. I'll definitely be back for their happy hour though!

We decided on the wine pairings for $15 to go with our meal as the glasses of wine were well over $15 a piece anyway. I ordered the pear salad (which was AMAZING) and the homemade pasta dish with mushrooms and my husband ordered the pork belly appetizer and the flank steak. All the food was amazing! While the food portions were a bit on the smaller side, we didn't leave feeling hungry (but we weren't stuffed either).
Our waitress was very attentive and I liked how everyone took a minute to explain what was in each dish after placing it on the table. The wine pairings were also paired to each dish as opposed to 1 set of pairings for all the meals. I don't know if I'd come back here for a full priced meal as all the dinners started at $20+. I would however come back for Urban Eats again.

First Annual Harvest Party at Two Beers…

Here's a few great reasons why you should let Mary do your wedding arrangements:
1. She was very professional in listening to what our style was and giving suggestions or providing alternative ideas.
2. She always called us back very quickly to answer the questions we had or address our concerns.
3. She has a great eye for the details and presentation. When we couldn't find cranberries in season she provided a couple other options for us to consider that didn't compromise the presentation. All our guests complemented on our centerpieces (how much they loved them).
4. The cost of our arrangements, centerpieces, and bouquets was certainly much cheaper than going somewhere else.
5. Mary loves what she does and it shows through her work!
