This place is a great place for beers and Eastern European food. It's a casual joint but it also has a certain sophisticated charm to it.

I'd get the pilsner to drink. For food, the goulash was good though lacking any real vegetables in it and it wouldn't have been filling enough if I was really hungry. That said, the price was pretty reasonable.

The only bad thing is they are cash only.

Great location paired with good (though not mind blowing) food. It's a very safe brunch choice for the weekend but expect to wait too.

Tip: There's a quick-serve version next door where you can skip the line but not get table side service.

Inventive and tasty dishes at reasonable prices makes Redd a must stop for any Napa tourist.

By 5:45pm on a Saturday, they already ran out of table seating so we ended up at the bar. Cocktails were perfectly made and the barkeep was attentive to our needs.

Food wise, I'd recommend the bone-marrow crusted steak. The duck breast was also perfectly cooked.

The grapefruit donuts were interesting though you could probably skip them and not regret it. They were pretty much the sum of the parts.

All in all though, it was the perfect dining experience.

Came here for Saturday lunch with the family. Service was attentive but food came out a little slow (the only complaint).

The butter lettuce salad was amazing. The burger also was delicious. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked. We tried the specials for poutine and would recommend it if it showed up on the day you arrive.

The place itself is really nice but not too formal. I highly recommend it if you're in FiDi.

Solid place for inexpensive, unpretentious Italian food. The food is all freshly prepared. The chicken scarpariello is quite good and the house merlot was surprisingly good for the price.

Don't come here expecting any fancy decor or atmosphere. It's inside a strip mall.

I waited about 45 minutes - 1 hour for food. I had ordered at the bar and got fried chicken with mash potatoes and fried green tomatoes. The food was great, but I probably would have preferred going to KFC and eaten immediately.

The waitress did apologize a few times and gave some free biscuits, but I was rather disappointed by the overall experience in spite of the food turning out well.

Top notch coffee in the area. They make good flat whites and cortados.

There is bad cellular data reception which could be a good thing or a bad thing. There's also limited seating but it's all well furnished and overall has a great, upscale but casual vibe.

Classic joint relaunched in North Beach. The whole place has a old school classy feel to it without feeling stuffy.

If you don't want to bear the lines, you can easily get seated at the kitchen counter in the far back and see all the food getting made. I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. It was top notch though pretty much what you'd expect. The house wine was decent but nothing like the quality of house wine you might get in Europe.

Very similar to Cento in SoMa. This place is a hole in a wall (literally in this case though quite presentable). It is tucked away in an alleyway which makes it a real gem of a find.

The coffee is from Blue Bottle. They make a good cappuccino. This is a great place for a coffee break but don't expect to be able to sit down -- standing room on the sidewalk only.

Mediocre at best. The place has a decent lunchtime atmosphere and the service is good; however, the food is at best described as okay.

I had the pork sandwich which really just felt like something I could have slapped together with stuff from Safeway for 1/4 the cost. The accompanying pickled vegetables were anything special nor were the fries.

If you're near the Ferry Building, there are plenty of better choices.
