Miller's Ale House in Levittown, NY is GREAT for an inexpensive or lazy night out with the family.  The food is normally very, "on-point," with hearty portions and flavor!  They have daily deals (especially inexpensive $5 lunch specials), and drink specials (although I normally don't indulge in alcohol).  The BEST thing on the menu here though is the, "Buried Treasure."  This dessert is literally off the chain!!!  You can either share it or indulge in a delicious, fudgy, caramel soaked piece of Heaven on earth... Love it!

The location itself is clean and open.  The staff is normally quick and courteous with a desire to assist in your selections when prompted.  Great for sports enthusiasts, they have a vast amount of ginormous televisions that plaster the walls around the sports memorabilia.  It is extremely difficult to get a seat the later into the night it gets and I do not believe they take reservations.  If you are looking for the inexpensive food without the ambiance... call an order in and take it home with you!  The packaging is done well and rarely opens in the bag.

The Ale House is certainly a place to hit up while heading through the area or for a regular spot to grab a hot meal in a cool spot!

So... I was heading into NYC early Saturday morning  (to make my autographing appearance at a convention) when I realized it would be the perfect time to check out the Brother Jimmy's BBQ on 2nd.  I spoke with Management and I literally blabbed about heading over there after the convention all day (I was very excited)!  The Puerto Rico location was fantastic, so I had high expectations for NYC.  

This location was awesome, VERY down-home authentic with a cast of employees who were sweet and helpful.  The food was mouthwatering and extremely tasty!  For someone who travels a lot and has tried the, "best of the best," as well as the, "worst of the worst," I think I'm pretty qualified to say that if you are looking for big taste with great value... Brother Jimmy's BBQ should be your destination.

My son had the kids hotdog with mac & cheese (which he quickly shoveled into his mouth), my daughter had the BBQ Burger with "Fire Fries."  Those fries were SO damn delicious, we HAD to order a side of them for the rest of the family!!!  Spicy with flavor, they didn't even need ketchup or BBQ sauce.  I had a repeat of one of my favorites in PR which was the BBQ Nachos.... HUGE and lip-smacking!  I literally forgot how big it was and struggled to eat the whole thing... yes, it's true!  My wife and I had shared an order of the hot wings as well which were cooked to perfection.  My wife had the, "Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich," with sweet potatoe fries to die for.  

I realized that I really wanted to try the ribs that I've heard SO much about... I was completely stuffed, so I brought a rack home with me.  After the hour ride back home of smelling them, I dove into the well-packed delicious-ness and had to stop myself before I exploded!  Ribs were soft, fall off the bone with tons of flavor.

I'm glad that I stopped on by to put a little, "South in my Mouth."  One of my new favorite places when I have to swing through Manhattan... Make sure you check them out!

During my visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico... I was invited by the Brother Jimmy's Management to experience their Carolina location.  I was blown away by not only the quality of the food itself, but the unbelievable service!!!  The portions were certainly above average and each dish I sampled was fantastic!  Guacamole LIVE was not only fun to watch for the whole family, but scrumptious as well.  The view was absolutely magnificent, boasting a bird's eye view of the Rainforest, City and beautiful beaches... extremely impressive!!!

I was also invited to the private party being held there later that evening.  The view at night was just as breathtaking as it was during the day... picture having dinner and drinks on the top of the Empire State Building.  The drinks were tasty and for those of you who are going with two or more people... you MUST try the, "Swamp Water."  I'm looking forward to visiting again as soon as I'm in town again!

I wanted to again say thanks to the wonderful crew at, "Salon Rock," for taking such great care of my wife and I! I was extremely impressed with the tremendous amount of professionalism and courtesy shown to us by the entire staff. I am sincerely looking forward to seeing Salon Rock become a landmark here on Long Island; as I can tell, it certainly will be! Great job, I'll see you guys again real soon!!!
