$39 with a $.99 service fee if you order online
Menu:
Boiled Dungeness crab
Fruit salad with apples, pineapples, blueberries, grapes and melon
Green salad

Bowtie pesto pasta
Coffee and Tea
Extras:
Silent Auction
50/50 Raffle, $5 tix
Entertainment of various community and high school singers and performers start at 6pm
Desserts were $3, Chocolate and Carrot Cake
Rootbeer floats were $2
Sodas were $2, beer and wine $4, bottles of wine $15
We arrived at 4:30, plenty of parking, they opened rec center/hall located across from the church and let people in a little early. Since we bought our tix online, we walked right in, past the silent auction tables, bought our tix for drinks and desserts then walked to the buffet line for the crab, et al. Then walked to the dining area, easily seating for over 500, family style. Plenty of seating, but by 6:00pm, it got full. There are bowls on the table for the crab shells that are picked up and emptied by the Boy Scouts and bowls of cocktail sauce. There is a table for the coffee and tea, a table for the desserts, an area to order and pick up rootbeer floats. There is a table for 'seconds' of pasta, salads, bread and crab. They loose a star on logistics, the seconds line would get long during the evening, they should have two tables for 'seconds".
Had a great time, was there for two hours just eating, listening to the community entertainment and talking with your table seat mates. All sorts of people attended, buddhist church goers, rotarians and the local community. You can tell the seasoned crab eaters, they brought their own crab shell crackers and picks, I know what to bring next time and know what to wear, you get crab and the smell of crab on everything, crab bits in my hair, my glasses, my purse, my scarf, my shoes, in my teeth..... Would definately go again and take a group of friends.

I am a big omnivore and love meat but was pleasantly surprised at the vegetarian meal, it was definitely filling and most was good, some just so so but that has to do with personal preference. The meal I tried was an asian flavor, seems meals are somewhat ethnically themed and healthy. Light Summer Miso Soup, Nori Roll-ups with Marinated Tempeh and Ginger Pickles,Soba Noodle Salad, Tangy Corn and Summer Squash Salad, Cucumber, Tomato and Mixed Green Salad, Cool Apple Gel with Fresh Fruit, Iced Barley Tea
Was very easy, you call by 9:30am on Monday if you want to dine in or to go that night. Leave your phone number on the message machine if they can't accommodate, they will call you.
Cash only, $15.
Easy street parking since it is a neighborhood, I got there at 6:30pm and parked in front, don't park in the small parking lot.
You are greeted when you enter on the left, fill out a name tag, pay and pick up your soup first then seated as a group or single, family dining style. Located in the hall next to the church. Folding sign outside the door.
I ordered my meal to go and my dinner was waiting on a table with my name on it.
The people are very welcoming and friendly.

Met at the Wave Street Trolley stop, between Prescott & Hoffman, at the parking garage benches, first floor, next to elevators. The parking was convenient and the least expensive at $10 in the area.
Nice there are conveniently located restrooms next to the candy store near the meeting place.
Had a group of 5 people with Thom Diggins, the guide, easy to find, he had a yellow Monterey Walking Tour sign next to him. He was very friendly, informative, loved the visuals of his pictures and was flexible with the group on walking pace and questions and time to take pictures. Enjoyed his references to the Cannery Row novel by Steinbeck.
Plenty of bathroom breaks along the walk, walk wasn't strenuous, fairly flat, some stairs, lots of stops and places to pick up snacks and drinks. Walk was right on time at 2 hours.
Found him through Meet up. I contacted him a week before and he was very responsive. $20 cash for the tour.
