I started with oysters on the half shell. They were served with this jalapeno vinaigrette which was really tasty. I have never had that type of vinaigrette with oysters before. For my main meal, I got the Lobster Crab Cake. This was truly delicious. It was hardly breaded, and just fell apart with a slight touch of my fork. I really enjoyed it. My friends all got steaks, and loved them. For sides, I highly recommend the Gouda Tater tots. This were out of control. They were almost juicy because of the cheese on the inside. The mac n' cheese was also delicious. It is made with thin tubes (think Kraft Mac n' Cheese). I liked how it was not too rich. The wine list was HUGE, with wines at various price points. We skipped dessert and opted for some Tasti Delight.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. Yes, this restaurant is PRICEY, but the food is quite good. Also, they offer half portions for less money, which is great. I definitely think I will return.
For dinner we ordered Wanton Soup, Salt n Pepper Shrimp, and Sizzling Beef in Black Been Sauce. We asked our waiter for recommendations, and he recommended the beef. I always determine how good a Chinese restaurant is based on their Wanton Soup. Tropical Chinese had delicious Wanton Soup: the perfect mix of saltiness with tender shrimp wantons. Our main dishes were delicious. I asked for the Salt n Pepper Shrimp to be cooked with the shells (you eat the shells and all), the test of a true Chinese chef. These were delicious. Very tasty with the perfect about of jalapeno. The Sizzling Beef in Black Bean Sauce was very tasty and tender. I don't usually order beef, but I really enjoyed this.
For dessert, they bring you half an orange, which was nice.
Overall, our service was great, the food was great, and the wine was great. I definitely will be back. I would like to try their dim sum.
My friend and I started with the Vegetable Samosas. These were fantastic. Then we split the Navrattan Sahi korma, Shrimp with Apna Curry Sauce, and Onion Naan. We were worried that we ordered too much, but this turned out to be the perfect amount of food. The korma was fantastic-- lots of veggies like broccoli, peas, carrots, etc in a delicious sauce. The shrimp were also amazing. The dish came with 8 jumbo shrimp which was perfect for my friend and I. The sauce was spicy- but not too spicy. The onion naan was out of this world. Dipping it in the 2 different sauces was the best. The dishes also came with rice (a lot of Indian restaurants make you order rice, so this was a nice change). The service was perfect. Our waiter was able to give us knowledgeable advice on what to order. A nice touch was when the manager came out to ask us how we were doing. He told us that the next time he would let us try Indian wine (we were already drinking wine). I did not even know that existed!
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ayesha. The prices were good for Key Biscayne (for our meal + 2 glasses of wine, the bill came out to $58). The service was good, and the food was great! I am so happy that Ayesha came to the neighborhood. I definitely will be back. (They said they were going to be starting delivery as well!)
I dinned here with a group of 6. The chef, Michael, prepared his top recipes for us. We didn't even order, he just surprised us, which was AMAZING. To start we had a tomato and mozzarella salad, which was made with the freshest mozzarella, the Sinatra Shrimp, which were absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD, Michael's famous meatballs, which were phenomenal, and a delicious salad. The Sinatra Shrimp were so spicy that my nose started running--THE SIGN OF GOOD SPICE! I loved them. I think I had about 4. They are served on a garlic toast and there are spicy peppers all over them. The meatballs that everyone raves about are a MUST. These meatballs are not like those at Prime 112/Prime Italian. There is no need for a knife with these meatballs, they just fall apart with your fork. So tender and so delicious. The mounds of ricotta cheese on the sides were just decadent. I was in heaven.
I was already full after the apps, but onto the main course we went! Michael made us a delicious Panzenneti pasta with chickpeas and chopped ham, grilled tuna, chicken Parmesan, and something like a baked ziti (except it was not ziti pasta). The pastas were AMAZING. The sauces were just to die for. The chicken Parmesan was pounded so thin, it just melted in your mouth.
When I thought I was going to have to be rolled out in a wheelbarrow, dessert was brought out! We had a sample platter of everything. The Ricotta cheese cake was like nothing I have ever had. It was beyond amazing. As I am writing this, I am craving some. The yellow cake with icing and sprinkles was also so moist and delicious. Who knew that such a simple dish could be so amazing!?
I cannot wait to bring my dad who was born and raised in Brooklyn to this little slice of heaven in SoBe. I definitely will be back!
La Marea has a great wine list at reasonable prices. We ordered a delicious bottle of Flowers Chardonnay without breaking the bank. To start, we were brought warm flat bread with a delicious hummus. MMMM so good! We all kept our orders light since we were going out afterwards. I ordered the Hamachi dish and the Watercress salad, my boyfriend ordered the Tomato Mozzarella and the BBQ fries, and my girlfriend ordered mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The food was good...not the best, but I did enjoy it. I guess I enjoyed it even more because we had a gift certificate.
We had a really cute waiter who we had a lot of fun with. He brought out my girlfriend a birthday shot because it was her birthday which was really nice of him.
Overall, the food was ok, I probably would not go back here without a http://Restaurants.com gift certificate, but the service and the atmosphere were great. Also, the menu has a wide variety of options at different price points. For example, they have sandwiches on the menu for like $10-12.

When we arrived, we asked to sit out by the pool/fountain. The hostess said that due to the rain (about 6 hours earlier) they were not sitting anyone out there, which we understood. However, when we finished our dinner (only 1.5 hours later) there were about 3 tables sitting outside. We were less than thrilled about this.
We sat down, and had to ask for the Miami Spice menu. Loftin's really tries to hustle you for a buck. They don't readily give you the Miami Spice menu, and they add an additional 22% gratuity onto your tab (outrageous in my opinion).
My friend ordered the lobster fricassee and the skirt steak from the Miami Spice menu, my other friend just ordered the fettuccine, and I ordered the lobster fricassee and the Mahi Mahi from the Spice menu. The food took a hot minute to come out. I was SHOCKED that such a "upscale" restaurant did not serve some sort of bread or olives before dinner. The lobster fricassee was very good. I enjoyed the Marsala sauce and the gnocchi added a nice touch. My Mahi Mahi was sub-par. I just don't think Loftin's does fish well. The last time I ate at Loftin's, I also ordered fish and did not like it. The Mahi tasted way too salty. I tasted my friend's skirt steak, and it was good...nothing amazing. I also tasted the pasta- again nothing amazing. For dessert, I had the vanilla ice cream and my friend had the passion fruit sorbet from the Spice menu--because let's face it, those were the only 2 choices. Pretty weak in my opinion.
Overall, the food is OK...nothing amazing at all. The atmosphere is amazing, but unfortunately, the food does not match. The service was not worth the 22% that they tack on--no if's, and's, or but's...it is 22%.
Would I go back? Probably not....
We were not drinking that night, so we all ordered sodas. The sodas came in glass bottles which I LOVE. I think that just adds class to a restaurant (even though they are more expensive). Our waiter was fabulous. He REALLY knew the menu backwards and forwards. He advised us on 2 ceviches to get. They both were DELICIOUS. We got the traditional ceviche, which was really tasty and we got a spicy ceviche with this red pepper spicy sauce on the side. MY NOSE WAS RUNNING MMMMM! That's the sign of awesome spicy food. For my main course, I got the Seafood Saltados over veggies which was fantastic. It was everything I wanted from a dish--guilt free, healthy, and delicious. My friends got the tuna and the short ribs- which they both loved. We were so stuffed that we passed on dessert. At the end of our meal, our waiter came over and asked if we would like a drink on him. We weren't drinking, but I had a glass of champagne. I thought that was so nice of our waiter and added a very special touch.
I definitely will be coming back here in the future. Service and food were excellent.
I definitely will be back to Balans. I enjoyed my food. I probably would not order an omelet there. The service could use a little improvement, but I will definitely be back (and I will bring my dog).
The restaurant was EMPTY....After eating there, I understand why. They start by serving some sort of focacia bread. Not bad. I mean you can't really go wrong on bread. I decided to order the warm goat cheese and beat salad, and my coworkers ordered 3 salmon salads, the steak sandwich, and the pesto gnocchi. The food took a hot minute to come out, and by hot minute, I mean a long time. My beet salad was ok. My expectations were not high, so I honestly was not let down. My coworkers complained that their salmon was still flapping (Salmon is supposed to be served at medium, but this was definitely borderline raw). The pesto gnocchi was weird. It was not really "pesto" like. It had a funny taste. For dessert, the waiters did a nice little dessert presentation with some tirimisu (did not like the tirimisu, but it was nice of them to bring out something for my coworkers' birthday).
Finally, when we were ready to pay, the waiter seriously had a break down. We had one credit card (mine) and the rest was going to be paid in cash. It seriously took him a good 20 minutes to figure out how to subtract the cash and then run the credit card.
Lesson learned. No tourist traps for Poshy Schlossy.

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Wok Town. The menu is small but has enough options to chose from. I definitely will be back, and I definitely will order for delivery.
