Skeptical was an understatement about how I felt when I first heard of this place. But they have completely won me over. I definitely eat meat, but I can't believe how delicious and filling everything is. How they make these dishes without dairy, eggs or meat is beyond me. All I know is that I could eat a plate of the bbq tofu all day, every day. I also had the mac and cheese, potato salad and greens. Everything is perfectly seasoned and very reasonably priced. I definitely need to hit them up again and try their other items.

I first went there for lunch and enjoyed a fresh grilled shrimp salad. No complaints on the food. Service was very slow, but I figured a waiter was out or something. Decided to head back in for dinner, and was disappointed to find that the service needs some improvement. While the staff was very nice and welcoming, the wait service was unbelievable. It was slow, not sure if that was the kitchen being slow or the waitress. Then, to my table's disbelief, a friends chicken dinner was brought out without the chicken. Yes, without the chicken. The plate had the garnish and a side of rice and she was told that the chicken would be out soon. Not sure why they didn't just wait and serve the plate once it was ready. The rest of us had to wait as our food got cold for the main dish to arrive. Not good. Its a new spot so I have to give them some time to figure out the ins and outs of the business. I'll go again because the food was decent, but hopefully the service improves dramatically.

This place has a lot of potential. It's a big space and has a great artsy atmosphere. I've been there a couple times and the food is very good. I'd recommend the lamb and the burger. I probably wouldn't recommend the creme brulee which was oddly enough served cold. Strange...They have changed the menu a couple times so it feels like they're still fine tuning the place. Service was a bit slow but everyone was very nice. I'd go back.

Two words. Bed Bugs. I spent a weekend there, and came out with bites all over, including my face - NOT fun. While they were extremely apologetic and comped our overnight parking, I felt they could have done more. The rooms were also very small, but i guess for that price in that location, its okay. Personally, the nice staff and the room rate isn't enough to convince me to stay there again.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! That pretty much sums it up. From the sides to the actual BBQ, everything was incredible. My friends and I wanted a taste of everything so we ordered just about all the sides and the chicken and ribs. I don't think we've been that quiet in a long time. Highly recommend this spot and they were just recognized as the best BBQ in Oakland at the 4th of July festivities. ENJOY!

Lavish spa is a new spot i've discovered, mainly due to the new waxer Qali who i religiously followed from her previous location. She is absolutely the best waxer I've ever been to and those of her customers that have strayed due to travel distance quickly return, because there is no one better. She is quick, thorough, and makes me completely comfortable despite the awkwardness of why I go see her. I dont mind driving from Fremont each month to see her because I know i'm getting the best service at an incredible price. The spa itself is also very welcoming, and instantly relaxes you with their quaint decor. I can't wait to check out the rest of their services.
