Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place and it's been almost a year! I absolutely love this place! True, it's pretty pricey, but the quality of the food is amazing. Ate here right as soon as we arrived from Maui and although I was staaarving, I waited nearly an hour or so to be seated and thought it was definitely worth it. The place is a bit small and we had five people in our party so that may be the reason why the wait was long (there was another large inside and we had to wait for them).

Ordered the katsu don which was really good! Not sure what my boyfriend and my brother ordered but being both tonkatsu fans, they loved it!

On a side not, I wasn't a curry fan then until I went to New York earlier this year and had Go! Go! Curry!. Upon reading the reviews, I hear that there's a curry tonkatsu? Can't wait to try it next month!

I'm a huge fan of the Earl of Sandwich in Vegas so this was a real treat since my boyfriend and I stayed at the Hilton across the street. There's not a lot of food options in walking distance from our hotel (or in Downtown Disney for that matter) that caught our attention so we ate here numerous times.

The line can look intimidating when you walk in but it moves fairly quickly. Ate the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich which was, I believe, a limited time only sandwich. Soooo good! Give it a try if you love chipotle :)

Hilton In the Walt Disney World Resort

Boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights (the day before our cruise and afterwards). It's literally across the street from Downtown Disney which was perfect since there was an Earl of Sandwich there which we ate at all the time since there was really no other food option. We took the red eye from LAX and arrived at MCO around 7:30AM and arrived at the hotel around 9:00AM. We were able to check in early which is a PLUS since we were exhausted from our flight.

There's a free shuttle/bus that runs every 30 minutes from the hotel to different parks which was cool if you're worried about transportation. The Hilton hotel also offers hotel guests "Extra Magic" hours for one park a day. Its a different park everyday either before the park opens or after the park closes. Unfortunately, we arrived the day where Animal Kingdom was open early and we checked in at 10 in the morning so it didn't apply to us. When you check in, they'll give you a paper with the Extra Magic Hours.

Anyway, the Hilton is a great alternative if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World but don't plan on staying in the Disney hotels. There's also a 24 hour market on the first floor. Hotel is fine overall. Will stay here again when I go back to Orlando.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place although I had been eager to review it after trying it the second time. The first time I was here, I was sick so not only was I on vacation but my taste buds were also on vacation. I decided not to review it and waited till the second time I was in Dallas to form an opinion.

The verdict? Brisket tacos. Soooo gooood. That's all! Can't wait till the next time I'm in Dallas!

Disclaimer: very long review but I try to make it detailed enough so you can maybe grasp how offended we felt as diners here. Or maybe we were just pissed off that we waited 3 hours to dine here.

I really wanted to love this place, I really did but right off the bat, the service made the experience less enjoyable that I expected. My boyfriend and I came around 6:00 and the earliest reservations was 9:00. Okay, kind of expecting it since there were a lot of people waiting (but not tons but quite a few) but still a little odd since it was a Wednesday night. Well, I still put my name down and we decided to walk around Caesar's Palace to kill time. We figured that since we were both Bobby Flay fans, the wait would be well worth it. That wasn't the case.

8:40 came around and we walked back to Mesa Grill and as I walked in, I stood there as three workers chatted with each other. I waited till their conversation was done. I'm not really someone who screams attention and who knows what they may be conversing about (work perhaps?) so I just stood there and waited, no big deal; I'll wait since our reservation wasn't till 9:00. No one else was waiting, it was just us so we figured cool, we'll probably be seated. But then as soon as their conversation was done NOT ONE WORKER/HOST/HOSTESS ACKNOWLEDGED ME even though I was standing right in front of their faces. Now that pissed me off and although I said that I don't scream for attention but I'm no fool; you're done with your conversation now do your job.

All I wanted to know was how long the wait was so after a few minutes I decided to ask politely (although I was ignored and thus pissed off, I can keep composure for the sake of food),"Hello. I have reservations at 9:00, I was just wondering how long the wait will be?" What I was expecting was, "Oh hello. Let me help you with that," or something along those lines. What I got was a "What the f*** do you want?" kind of face. The only thing she ever asked me for was the name and I proceeded to tell her the name and the other hostess said she'll seat us in a few minutes. When they said they were ready for us, they then asked my boyfriend to take off his beanie and I was already over the pretentiousness of this establishment. The point of this rant was we waited 3 hours to be greeted and treated like sh*t. Sure, we are young 20somethings but we have money to spend and seasoned taste buds and we knew coming into this place the prices aren't Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden pricing. That being said, we expected better service ESPECIALLY as soon as we were greeted. But since they lacked that, it set off a terrible mood throughout the meal. At least the server was nice but other than that we won't be coming back. Such a shame.

A lot of people that I know love blueberry donuts from here and I was curious to try it out but waited until it wasn't as hyped up in my social circle (less check-ins on yelp, Facebook). Eh. I don't get it. Waited for an hour and the donuts were okay. Just okay. It's blueberry donuts. Nothing out of the ordinary and certainly NOT WORTH THE WAIT. Ordered a dozen and I only went through half a donut before I realize I was over it. Boyfriend ate his and concluded he wasn't a fan either. Sorry!

Go! Go! Curry!

When my boyfriend and I were in New York last month, we stayed in Midtown and of course, Yelped nearby restaurants. Saw Go! Go! Curry! and bookmarked it because looked promising. We didn't get the chance to try it till the last half of our trip and I was bummed because it really is good (we wanted to hit up our favorites before trying something new)! We ordered to go and we were the only ones in there so I don't have a say on the restaurant experience itself but I absolutely love the food. Ordered the katsu curry and the portions were huge (but we did ordered extras) and the entire plate was amazing. A plate is enough for two people. Loved it so much we went twice (shared both times- great opportunity to save money haha).

Definitely recommend this place!

Brodard Chateau

A lot of my friends dine at Brodard's and I was curious to try it since they all seem to love it. My first Brodard experience was at the Chateau and it was alriiighhhht. Seems that from all the reviews, many Yelpers prefer the original location better but my friend wanted to meet here for dinner so we did. It was my first time so I didn't really have any preferences as to where to dine.

Prices:
The prices here a little steep for Vietnamese food. Steeper than I anticipated. Expect to pay $15+ even up to $25 for an entree. I guess I wouldn't complain about the prices of the food if the food was over the top amazing but it wasn't.

Food:
Ordered the pork spring rolls, shaken beef, and sticky rice and strawberries (I'll explain in a bit) . The spring rolls were okay. But then again, I don't eat spring rolls often to know which one is good. The shaken beef was okay and not worth the price. Ordered the sticky rice and mango for desserts. The waiter informed me that they ran out of mangos and asked if I wanted strawberries instead. Figured why not since he said it's good. My opinion, stick to the mango. There's a reason why there isn't a sticky rice and strawberries.

Service:
My water was pretty much empty the first half of dinner but they seem to fill my water cup all the time the second half. The waiter didn't asked us if we wanted desserts and gave us our bill. Kind of odd. We had to inform him that we wanted to order to go (for my mom and from friend's boyfriend) and that we were interested in desserts.

Overall, it was an "A-Ok" experience but nothing to rave about. Didn't impress me but don't let my review sway your decision on eating here. I'm not an expert in Vietnamese cuisine.

Kimski Makes

I almost don't want to review this place in fear that all that good stuff will be snatched before I do, buuut I'll be nice today :) Kimski Makes is one of my new favorite shops in Little Tokyo. Cute clothes and accessories for a relatively cheap price.

A few items I've bought at Kimski that I absolutely love: black anorak, a black button up with a faux leather front pocket, a dusty pink with floral print dress with an asymmetrical hem, turquoise cropped top with black strappy sleeves (sounds weird but see profile picture), a blue pleated sleeveless dress with a peter pan collar, and so much more.

Any downsides? Just one and it's the fact that the clothes tend to smell like food. No biggie since you can wash it before you wear it if it really bothers you (doesn't bother me as much).

Highly recommend this place if you love trendy clothes!

One of my favorite places to dine in LA. Because my boyfriend is allergic to seafood, we have never had to opportunity to go on "sushi dates". Not that I'm complaining but there are times I secretly wish I can update my status on Facebook with a "on a sushi date!" or check in at sushi bars on Yelp (kidding only....haha). So when I discovered this place on Yelp, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to fulfill that wish. Haha a little lame but whatevers.

I've never eaten at a Vegan restaurant so this was new to the boyfriend and I. The customer service was lovely. I love the ambiance of the place. The food was delicious (I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE the Dynamite Roll). I wonder what happened to the spicy tofu? It wasn't on the menu the last time we were there. A little sad inside.

Can't wait to go back!
