Dishes show wear and tear, but the decor is chic. Never mind that. The Shrek roll is the best sushi I've had in my life. The maguro better be good as it's my favorite, and it was. Go hungry, eat slow, savor each bite individually. A gem in the north bay!!!!!! Yum! All this praise from a former resident of Tokyo.

Worst service ever. Manager on phone, half paying attention, said I didn't pay enough. Get off the phone and count the money moron. Didn't off er me a drink. No he's too busy talking on the phone. $7 and that doesn't include the drink. Waited forever to have my sauces and noodles put on. He walked away to take an order. Hello?! Finish my order first. I'm starving! Hello?! That's why I'm eating out instead of cooking. Tables and chairs stickier than a motel room. Now I remember why I don't come here. I'm never coming back!!!

I ordered two special rolls. Tiger and heart attack. Both were very good and filling. Not too much rice, decent pieces of fish. With diet coke... $27 before tax & tip. Was $35 in all incl $5-6 tip.

Miko's Japanese Cuisine

They greeted me as soon as I entered. Came for dinner on a Friday and the place was not busy. The sushi chef ignored me the first time I asked a question. Maybe the fan was drowning out my voice. The decor is Japanese with 9 tv's. The noise level was minimal and pleasant. I ordered Califirnia roll, $4, and cherry blossom roll, $10. California roll has sesame seed coating tradionally; my plate had very little. The drink portion was small. The fish was okay but not super fresh. The fish in the case looked dry, so I stuck with what looked good, the salmon. The avocado, in season now, was fresh. The menu is 12 pages. The special rolls section is 2 pages, called Miko's Rolls. I missed it at first. All in all, I've had better with Rock N Roll in Vacaville being pretty darn good so far, Tokyo Sushi being the best in Fairfield. Raku Sushi in Sacramento is the best around. Miko's sushi has a ways to go.

Had the vegetarian version, was nom nom! Good ambiance, order was quick, music was the same stuff in my own collection. They forgot part of my order but it was easy to get their attention and it was happily brought. What a doll! I asked for peppers on mine but what I got was Cole slaw. It wasn't the county fair back home topping I was looking for but it was still gooooooood! Nom!

Decor from the 80s needs an update but who cares? The food was AWESOME yummy! I had the hot & soup which was spicy enough for me after adding a tiny scoop of their hot chili sauce. I finished with Hong Kong style crispy noodle, vegetarian style. Bill of soup and noodles (2 items ordered a la carte), w/iced tea: $15. Friendly enough, and helpful waitress; one of the best I've met. Place was half packed and she was going fast as she could. I don't think I waited too long on her. Invisible roller skates. The fortune cookies were fresh, like, China Town bakery fresh. I asked and she said they do get them fresh every day. I'll be back!!!

Lunch buffet here is really good. I've tried the Bob, Capitol, Spider, Dragon & Sunflower rolls. I don't know why but I got special culinary treatment from the sushi chef so I can't complain. They're proud of their place and it shows. Exceptional flavor. Clean bathroom. Good staff. Best sushi place around, neighboring counties included.
