I'm so conflicted, the ladies that helped me were pretty nice but overall I'm pretty disappointed especially after spending ($105 not including tip on a gel set and pedicure). When I first got there I was greeted and sat at the pedicure chair -- I was unsure if I was going to get a full set (I usually only get pedis) but I thought "oh what the heck!" And I did.

The pedicure was decent aside from the constant up-charging (which I expect).

My nail tech was nice but was very rough, I have a small cut on my middle finger because she doused my nail beds with glue so every finger had glue on them and when she filed it ripped my skin.

Anyway, I won't be going back, I could deal with a little cut and rough tech if the quality was worth it, in this case it's not.

I swear, finding a good nail tech is like finding a good mechanic-- someone that does a good job and you trust. I'm still on the search!

So I'll preface that I only got a regular manicure and a classic pedicure. Both together total to $43 which is about average. I came to Queenie's because my cousin couldn't stop raving about it and her nails looked really good! I would say that weenies is a pretty average nail shop - unfortunately the Bay Area saturated with them, so I guess a shop has to do a lot to particularly stand out.

I had a so-so experience. My pedicure was honestly lackluster - hot stones, lotion, not much effort into a "massage" but my toes look great!

As for my manicure, my nails are really short and again I only got a regular manicure with polish, but the polish job is a little sloppy - I would have loved it the technician cleaned up with some acetone like some other places do to make sure that the polish is neat and clean.

A nice addition - is they serve ice cream if you request it.

Overall the technicians were pretty friendly, but my experience was pretty mediocre. If this place is close to your home - go for it! Just not a place I would drive out of my way for, I came from Almaden Valley, so it was a bit of a drive for me.

Where has this pace been all my life... who knew that a tiny shack on the corner of a Berkeley street would house such yummy food?!

Yelp was right on with this one. Don't judge a book by its cover or you'll be missing out on one of the tastiest meals you'll ever have!

I recommend asking for extra green sauce (if you're a garlic lover like me).

Any season, this spot is sure to satisfy!

Summertime can be quiet hectic for working parents! Not only do we worry about what our kids will do for most of the day while we are at work, but we also have to think of ways to combat the summertime slump.

Finding K-5 was a Godsend! K-5 ran an incredible summer camp experience that my kids could not stop raving about. Each week had a different theme with games, hands on projects, and much more. Weeks like, tech week, sports week, inventors week, captivated my young learners and kept them begging to stay longer. Mr. Guerra and his staff effectively create a space for children to explore, innovate, and imagine as children and scholars. Somehow Mr. Guerra perfected the art of balancing fun and learning.

K-5 offers affordable pricing that easily can work with any budget.

We will definitely keep coming back!

Hidden behind scaffolds and street construction is this super hipster farm to table type joint. You know the kind of place with lots of wood and modern lighting, you know, the kind where you can't really see (or maybe because I'm getting old I had some trouble). I date say that I have never had a more attentive person wait on me. Marcus was super knowledgeable, incredibly attentive, and had the best recommendations.

Let's start with my drink - I like sweet and crisp, the Farm75 was just that, just the perfect balance of refreshing, sweet, crisp, and the perfect kick to end a stressful travel/work day. (Marcus recommended it!)

My food - AMAZING! I had the trout, which came with a toasted slice of baguette, creamy, but light sauce and super tasty clams. The trout was seasoned just right and flaky but moist. Marcus also recommended the baby carrots - they were a little too charred for my liking, but still pretty yummy they came with honey and thyme.

The best part - DESSERT!! Toasted coconut with blueberry compote! OH - EM - GEE.... not too sweet, cool, and exceptional! (it even came with candied flower petals!)

I don't think I can over use the work perfect when describing my drink, food, dessert, and overall experience at The Farm House! YELP did not disappoint!

This will definitely become a regular place for me when I come to Nashville (next time I try to get some pictures, I was too busy enjoying).
