No, Shannon, you are not stretching the truth!!  ;)  The cups are massive which is a great idea so that each customer can decide exactly how much they want.

Sweet CeCe's is a fantastic self-serve frozen yogurt shop located in Heritage in Wake Forest NC.  The concept is that there are 6 flavors "on tap" (for now) and you can choose one flavor or a swirl of two.  From there you move over to the wall of dry toppings such as nuts, candies, sprinkles, you name, they have it!  It is so wonderful to create your OWN!  Next you move onto the "wet" toppings such as fresh fruit, whipped topping, syrups and so on.....you get the idea!  They even have chunks of brownies and cheesecake that you can mix in!

Once you have created your masterpiece you place your cup on a scale and you are charged by weight.  It is a great concept, delicious yogurt and a fun place to stop any time of the day.

The atmosphere is bright and cheery with plenty of seating and one of the friendliest staffs I have seen!  Great job Sweet CeCe's and we are so happy to have you in Wake Forest!

It truly makes for a hard decision when you are faced with all the flavors and combinations of popcorn offered.  Luckily for us WE LOVE POPCORN and always try something new.  We haven't been disappointed yet!

My son's favorite is the S'Mores - OMG, I took a sample (or two) from him (ok - I stole it behind his back) and it is over the top delicious!  My favorite is the Toffee Almond - just the right amount of all the ingredients!

My husband goes for the spicier flavors - last time in they mentioned something about possibly doing a contest to see who could eat the hottest flavor they are concocting.........my luck, hubby will want to give it a try!  

It may sound strange to have a store dedicated to popcorn but if you haven't stopped in to Palsie's Popcorn and Sweets you just have to.  Delicious flavors and a really fun little shop!

I remember seeing Chubby's Tacos before they opened up and I gotta admit, I was curious!  We finally got into try Chubby's Tacos and we haven't stopped going!

They have fresh tortillas that have the most incredible choices for fillings!  They have shredded pork with fresh cilantro, grilled shrimp with a chipotle cream sauce, fish tacos, pork and pineapple and so many more and they are ALL delicious and that's just the tacos!  The burritos are just as good with a multitude of choices for fillings as well.  My sons favorite is the ChubbyChanga - HA!  I think he likes to say it as much as he likes to eat it!  But, seriously, it's a fried burrito with cheese, onions, salsa, and your choice of ground beef, timga, barboca, shredded beef or carnitas.  He likes he with ground beef.

If you haven't been to Chubby's Tacos yet you just have to go.  The value is outstanding when you look at all the FRESH food you get for such little money.

I am a bit surprised by some of the previous reviews.  Maybe it's that kinks were worked out in the months before we decided to give them a try!  There also may be a variance in opinion given the time of day that we had lunch.  

We visited the Gatehouse Tavern on a Saturday afternoon (no huge football crowds) probably around 3pm.  There were others in the restaurant but certainly not crowded by any means.  We chose to sit in the bar at a bar table and were greeted almost immediately upon sitting down.  When we asked what was on tap our server was very knowledgeable regarding the different choices as well as what we may or may not like given our tastes.  Fortunately for us, we wanted a BURGER and once we saw the menu we knew we had gone to the right place!  I had the Fat Tuesday burger which is a blackened burger with Bleu Cheese and Chipotle Ranch.  It had just the right about of "spice" to it and was cooked perfectly.  My husband had the Peacemaker which has Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions and bacon - he loved it.  All in all we had a great lunch and are hoping to find the time to visit Gatehouse Tavern again during evening hours.  

I would suggest that if you haven't been to Gatehouse Tavern in a few months to a year to possibly give them another try?  We had a wonderful time, great food, good service and will definitely go back!

This is the newest location for Charlies Kabob Grill in Wake Forest NC.  The food here is just as top notch and delicious as their other location!  The restaurant is bright and open with plenty of seating and the smells from the food......oh my, the smells are to die for!  This really is authentic Mediterranean food at its best.  They have a nice menu with not too much to confuse you yet a good variety so that you can try something different or new often.  

During my last visit I had the Phoenix.  The chicken was the most tender I have ever had, extremely flavorful and the serving size was extremely generous.  My husband had the Troy and felt it was equally impressive.  They have a weekly lunch menu on the wall which looked to me to be very reasonably priced combos!

The service was as fast as can be expected when you are getting FRESH food prepared at time of order and delivered to your table with a smile and a genuine gratitude for being there and enjoying the food.  

We will most definitely be returning to Charlie's Kabob Grill in the future - I can't wait to try a few more menu items.  I am a huge Eggplant lover so I can already tell you that the Eggplant Gyro is next on my list to try!

Too much fuss lately about Five Guys so we just had to try.  Simple menu - burgers, hot dogs and fries - no more, no less!

While I will say the burgers were good and the fries were good the prices were not so good.  The same amount could have been spent elsewhere for better food.  That will be the deciding factor next time - $30 is quite a bit to spend for a quick, "let's grab a quick bite".

Good burgers - we have had better and we have had worse.  Worth a try so you can say you've been there, done that.

I REALLY wanted to enjoy this place and it just didn't happen for us.  

We ordered the Prosciutto Wrapped Scallops and were almost ready to stop there and ask for check.  The scallops were rubbery (overcooked) and there was TOO much Prosciutto.  As for the lemon chardonnay sauce to us it tasted more like an Italian Dressing that they were swimming in.  We pressed on and ordered dinner.  Lobster Ravioli and the Monte Carlo.  The Lobster Ravioli tasted as if the ravioli was previously frozen, brought to room temp and flash prepared.  Gummy and the filling was not to my taste at all.  The sauce was a Pink Brandy Creme Sauce which was quite "gritty" - that's the best word I can think to describe it.  The Monte Carlo had a unusual smell to it - so much so the diners at the table beside us noticed.  Both meals seemed like they either sat under a heat lamp for quite a while or that they were never quite fully heated through to begin with.

We do have friends that remark the pizza is some of the best they have ever had - perhaps we should have tried that?  I can say that we won't be back to Il Bacio's for a dinner entree but perhaps in the future we might try a pizza.

We have dined at Milton's in Wakefield numerous times and have not had a bad experience yet. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive without going over board. The staff has a genuine concern for your dining experience and always make sure you are well taken care of. I don't know what kind of training the owner puts the staff through but other restaurants could learn quite a bit from Milton's.

The food is always prepared fresh and reasonably quick considering most is prepared to order. We have had casual pizzas there which were outstanding and we have also had appetizers, entrees and desserts. My favorite entree is the Scallops with Pesto - unbelievably delicious! My husband is a huge fan of their classic Lasagna and swears their Tiramisu is the best he has ever had anywhere.

One thing that we have never tried and wish we would get a day to do so is their lunch buffet. We always seem to arrive right when they are taking it down. However, we have seen it and it looks delicious with a huge variety and an extremely reasonable price.

I highly recommend Milton's Pizza and Pasta for any occasion whether it be a family night or dinner date night!

I'm not sure we've had a more rushed dining experience ever! Our server was either extremely busy or he was irritated (or both) but it was clear that if there was hesitation on our part when choosing our choice for dinner he wasn't having it. We expected him at any moment during our dinner to yell at us.

The food itself was certainly not enough to have us go back. There are most decidedly better Mexican restaurants in Wake Forest NC. It has been our experience that the food in Mexican restaurants comes out of the kitchen extremely hot and the plates themselves are branding irons. While our food was brought out in "kitchen mitt" gloved hands it was not "hot". It would have been something I would have brought to our servers attention, but again, we were actually afraid of him.

At least we can say that we have been to Las Palmas but we won't be going back and won't be recommending this to our friends.

I guess if you like fried seafood this is a spot to put on the list.  It was okay - not out of this world but at the same time not the worst.  

Unlike the previous reviewer we chose to eat inside and had a much different experience.  The service was not good at all!  We waited for over 20 mins before being acknowledged.  Then we had to repeat our drink order 4 times to the server (3 sweet teas) and the drinks were forgotten twice on visits to the table.  We noticed that we were not the only ones in the restaurant having the same issues with service.  There seemed to be two servers working and a guy behind the counter who appeared to do nothing but watch the chaos.  

My family had Fried Catfish, Fried Flounder, Fried Shrimp and Brunswick Stew.  Again, all were cooked fine and tasted fine - it just wasn't anything to jump up and down about and really recommend.  Will we go back?  Highly doubtful.

As to the service - it was a Wednesday early evening so we can't contribute the poor service to a busy Friday night or another normally busy time.
