Gotta love their $8 lunch specials!! The appetizer size portions during lunch are a bit small but the main dish is a good size helping.
Food overall is pretty yummy! My favorites are definitely the Pad See Yew and their curry dishes. If you're getting cocktails, drinks can add up, but they have Happy Hour starting at 3 and that equals $3 beers!
Also a great place to have a leisurely lunch with a group of friends.  They are more than accommodating (i.e. if you're going with babies/toddlers) and they don't rush you out, which is a nice change of pace.

This is my new neighborhood quality/gourmet/organic grocery store.  They have a pretty lovely selection and I love the fresh produce.  Everyone is remarkably friendly and lovely.  It's such a delightful addition to the neighborhood and it's so convenient to pop in and out throughout the week for a variety of healthy selections.  Also, if I'm having a lazy evening instead of cooking I take advantage of their deli counter and freshly prepared food.  They even do smoothies now!

This airport is conveniently located and although smaller airports usually mean you can show up a little closer to your flight time and not deal with crazy rush-rush hassles, it also for me means a little bit of an additional headache.
A headache in the sense of hardcore-follow the rule book above and beyond systems.  Their security systems are quite up to date, last time I traveled they even had the x-ray body scanner up and running (I'm not a huge fan, as I'm more old school).  The boarding gates are...all in the same area so no need to worry about that or do much walking.
Everyone is quite friendly and will chat you up.  The lobby in the check-in area is quite comfortable and pleasant but if you're looking to grab a bite to eat before you get on your flight--make sure you don't rely on the airport selections as it's quite...quite limited.

This has become our annual NYE dinner spot.  This place for me is one of those places that transforms you.  You walk in off of a New York City street and enter a lovely French bistro that has you checking your wallet to make sure you brought your Euros.

There's a bar that stretches from the entrance back into the dining room.  Enough tables and space to accommodate all of the many fans but still cozy and intimate enough where you feel you're the only one there.  The wine selection is delightful and I'm always torn between the usual amazing bottle...I mean glass of Merlot or Syrah OR to dabble in their selections of Malbec or Cotes du Rhone.  The drinks prices are also quite reasonable where you definitely can do more than one bottle if the occasion presents itself. Also, if it's not a crazy holiday night--you can ask about doing BYOB which for sure saves on costs.

Now, the food. Amazing. First you have to decided if you're going to order the entree or go with the prix fixe menu.  I usually end up going with the prix fixe.  It comes with an appetizer, main entree, and a desert and uh, only $28. Say whaaaaaat?!?!?!!!   I'm in love with their french onion soup.  I've found along my journey in life that uh, yeah--you can actually mess this classic dish up.  Cafe Loup however, does it oh-so-right! Their other starters are also delicious and it's a tough decision to make.  My friend usually orders their escargot which is quite tasty indeed.  The salad (I know, it sounds boring compared to) is also pretty fresh and tasty. Now when it comes down to the main entree I'm always torn between the chicken or the tuna. OR! Let me be fancy for a hot minute, I'm torn between the Poulet or the Thon.  I always end up choosing the poulet.  It never disappoints.  It also comes with quite the array of vegetables that are ridiculously delicious.  This is coming from a girl who usually says "NO" to veggies.  Lucky for me, last time we went a friend ordered the Thon.  WOW! It comes "carpaccio" style and trust me--you get quite the generous share of tuna.  Thon! Thon! Thon! Friends also ordered the vegetable plate (this one is usually a meat eater and was more that satisfied) and the mussels are also always a big hit! Seriously, everything's great! Run your finger up and down the menu, randomly stop and whatever it lands on...will be great!  The deserts are also "wooo! blow your mind."  I'm a bread pudding kind of girl, but usually by this point I'm so full that I take one bite and do the lean back.

Everyone there is so nice, and genuinely nice, and friendly, and accommodating and helpful.  You really get the personal experience. I do want to go back and try so many more dishes.  This will be a day when I show up in a hoodie and baggy pants and really truly scarf down some food, like their burger and actually have space to eat all of my desert for once!

I liiiiiiiike this place! Well, we've been in a few times and had a different experience every time.  The first time I couldn't stop laughing--we had the best time.  The bartender was hysterical! The bouncer...hysterical! They were very chill and welcoming,  The drinks were also reasonably priced.  Do note! They only take cash , but lucky for you (and smart on their part) they have an ATM machine towards the back.  They also have food! HellOOO! Great "after" spot to chill out, meet interesting people, and have an experience you will definitely be talking about the next day...

It wasn't the best beach day so we decided to brunch instead. Why stay skinny and hungry for your bathing suits when you can fill your bellies instead. We ordered the nachos, calamari salad (which comes with scrumptious grilled calamari), tuna tartar, the chowder of the day was clam and we also got the burger. We all couldn't get enough of everything! Throw in a few bloody mary's and you have started your day off right. Deliciousness and leisure...that's what summer road trips are all about.

This fantastic establishment is right across the street from my friends' apartment.  It's the perfect "morning after" spot.  Everyone there is ridiculously lovely and nice.  The inside space is quite itty-bitty, so I've only sat down to eat once, but people really set up shop in there.  It's a cute little place to meet someone for some daytime food, catch up on the latest read, bang out some work, or even to catch up on your YELP reviews...

Food is great!! Bagels...croissants..can't go wrong...but my favorite dish is their scrambled eggs.  Usually go for the one with spinach and mozzarella cheese. My summer staple beverage is their Iced-Chai.  Yum.  And my latest winter choice beverage is their Iced-Tea (they have simple syrup/sugar to help out that process...whaaaa??).  I dunno, I'm just an iced-drink girl lately I guess.  I truly heart this place and maybe if you're lucky you may even have a celebrity sighting...or two...

The food here was pretty great! We came for brunch and everyone was pleased with their food.  Chips, salsa, guac--yum! I had the huevos rancheros.  Mmmhmmm, mmhmm! The ambiance is fun, the servers are also fun, the space is...not so much tiny as just kind of enclosed on not spread out...but who needs excess space in New York?? Now, better than the food and pretty decorations aaaare the margaritas.  Get the large, just do it! Why wouldn't you? They come in glorious pint size glasses and are tasty! And these are those foo-foo margaritas with some juice and a splash of tequila.  Oh no! Oh no! I left 2 1/2 hours later and 3 margaritas deep and I can surely say that El Centro brightened my entire weekend!

Well, the staff was quite friendly.  Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the food.  I brought my mom there and she left pleased and happy so I guess that's all that matters. She had the ribs, which from my mini-bite were tasty.   I ordered the tacos...mmm kinda dry and flavorless even with the dab of "sauce" on top.  I also wasn't thrilled that I had to pick between chicken or fish and wasn't able to choose. Oh well, what are you gonna do??  The sides were also not the best.  I mean, maybe I'm just being overly NY judgmental, but that just makes me think that there's better options out there!

Dempsey's. Dempsey's, Dempsey's, Dempsey's. I say this as I shake my head with a smile.  We've been coming here for yeeeeeeeears. Always a solid pub with good food, great bartenders, lovely little drinks...beers...shots.  I love that they're always down to host an event from ZogSports party to trivia night. Lots of TVs to catch whichever sporting event is currently suiting your fancy.  Little bit of darts.  Lots of dark corners. Lots of good times.
