I've never been here for any meal but brunch...but I love it! The patio area is first come first serve, but I've had pretty good luck getting seating out there.
I've tried:
Corned Beef Hash - 5 stars...SO good!
Eggs Florentine - 5 stars...OMG yes!
Fritata - 5 stars...hakuna fritata...yeah, I know it makes no sense.
Veggie Scramble - 4 stars...good, but I was wishing I had the corned beef hash.
The breakfast potatoes are also stellar.
I had a large group for breakfast...I think we ended up with about 10 people. We monopolized the patio area. They handled it SO well. Everyone had their coffee, their mimosas, water refills, etc. I was really pleased with our waitress.
I feel so confident bringing people here. I guess I could go somewhere else for brunch now and again. I guess.
I wish I had some corned beef hash.

Nobody is going to believe me, but I have an incredibly high tolerance for the spice. I order spicy with reckless abandon (with the exception of 10 at a Thai restaurant. That's how you get yourself killed.) So...when I see something called flaming habanero from a pizza place I assume it's well within my preferred range of spicy. I mean, it's pizza. Now, someone else described this pizza as having a "little kick" and requiring additional chili flakes. I'm assuming that somebody accidentally quadrupled the amount of chili in the sauce. Seriously, this pizza was at the edge of what I'm capable of eating.
Just because you CAN eat something that doesn't mean you SHOULD. My nose is still dribbling. I'm already sick and now, well, indigestion is an understatement. Fortunately the other half of my pizza was the Popeye and it was great...suuuuper garlicky which I love.
The greek salad was good and the vegetables were fresh, but nothing spectacular. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I'd probably give them another try, but with so many other pizza places to order from it'll probably be a while before I try them again.

The fries were pretty good. Ahi is one of my favorite foods in the world and, honestly I didn't think it was that good. Other people at the table liked it, but I don't like it when you can't taste the fish. You're either using low quality fish or you're wasting a good piece of fish by covering it up.
My drink was really good. I'd go back for drinks but it wouldn't be my first choice for dinner. I've heard the owner likes to send nasty grams. If I get a nasty gram, I'm lowering my review to 1 star and posting the nasty gram.
Of course, the company was 5 star. My friends are all that and a cucumber crush. Mmmmm cucumber.

Arby's Restaurant
Categories: Fast Food, Burgers, Sandwiches
So...after this year's Eugapalooza I was all full of wine and my driver (thanks lady!) drove past an Arby's. I begged, pleaded and cajoled her but it was no use. She would not stop. I'm sure she thought she was doing me a favor. Clearly she doesn't know how obsessive I get.
About a month later my new roomie called and asked if I wouldn't mind picking her up at the shop-o-plex because she had purchased some heavy stuff. Shockingly, I hit traffic on the bay bridge at rush hour so when I got there she had been sittin' around picking her nose for so long that she wasn't excited about being there any longer...but I wanted to go to Safeway.
Roomie: What do you need at Safeway?
Amy R: Um, thinly sliced roast beef, hamburger buns, some potato hashbrowny things...and I wanna check out the sauce isle.
Roomie: Excuse me?
Amy R: So, the other day I wanted Arby's...blah blah blah...dental floss...blah blah blah...aliens...blah blah blah...squirrel.
Roomie: Oh...I know where there's an Arby's. Why don't we just go there?
Amy R: You'd rather drive all the way there than stay at this shop-o-plex for 5 minutes?
Roomie: Yes!!!
So...we went. It was the first time I'd been to Arby's in quite possibly 10 years. I got my classic Arby's sandwich and my potato cakes. The beast has been subdued.
Oh...and I agree with the other posters. The store front IS kinda lame, but the food was exactly what I expected. I wonder if my left over Arby's sauce is still in the fridge...
Well, after visiting this place I decided I wanted to join the wine club. I went to their site and Emailed them about 5 times and never got a response. This time when I visited, I filled out the paper work in person. The cost/value on these people is off the charts.
I told the group of people I was with that this place was wonderful and they didn't disappoint. I hate it when I take people somewhere and everyone hates it. They're friendly, the wine is great and they just stand there and smile while you lecture them about never responding to your wine club inquiries. Definitely worth a stop.

We pulled off the road because my husband had to find out what a rock shop was... Yes, this tasting room is behind the Rock Stop Rock Shop...and it rocks! This was my favorite of all the wineries (although the winery is very small and located behind a rock shop).
The woman who helped us out was very friendly and helpful. She told me that the area is well known for pinot noir...which is not shocking because I had great pinot noir all day. This winery was no exception. I also got a really good pino gris.
The shocker of the day was the zin! Now...as far as I'm concerned there are exactly two things wrong with wine. They are (in this order) shiraz and red zin. This place had several zins to try which kind of made me sad but after I informed our illustrious hostess of this she suggested I try the 2002 zin (oh...why didn't I buy it all?)
It was GREAT! It was full bodied and wonderful...yeah, I shoulda bought more.
To me, this is just what wine tasting is all about. I want small, not widely distributed wines that make me cherish every sip because I know I'm not getting this exact same bottle of wine ever again.
This winery is owned by a husband and wife team. The husband's lovely artwork can be found around the tasting room and the greeting team, 2 sweet older dogs, is fantastic. Our pourer, the wife, was friendly, informative and helpful.
I wasn't impressed with any of the red wines but boy do they have a good chardonnay (incredible considering the fact that I hate chardonnay). The best thing about the winery was a dessert grape called symphony. I haven't even opened it yet and I'm wishing I had bought more. Fortunately, it looks like I can order more online. Seriously, this stuff smells like roses and tastes like love.
They had a very good rose so I bought two bottles (waiving the $15 tasting fee). The pinots were great, but I didn't really feel like they were better than cheaper pinots I've had in the region. I'd definitely stop by here just for the tasting, though. So worth it. We lounged out in the lawn chairs with our wine for a while after tasting with no complaint from the staff. It was great.

The place was crowded, but service was still good. I must say I'm disappointed not to have seen any sheep. Not a shoop in sight. Ah, how greatly I bemoan my shallow shoopless existence.

Roomie: Just look at those tiny cupcakes.
Amy: OMG, they're so cute! *bats eyelashes at cute barista*
Roomie: They piss me off. Um, I'll have the Anesthesia.
Amy: *looks at cute boy talking to owner*
Roomie: Makes sultry glance at Amy that says, "aren't you going to order stupidhead?"
Amy: Why do they piss you off? Uh, I'll have a large coffee. Thanks.
Roomie: They're too small. You have to tell him what kind of coffee.
Amy: Size queen. What? Kind??
Barista: You haven't been here before? Do you want light, medium or dark roast?
Amy: *looks at cute brown boy* I like dark.
Barista: I'd recommend the Ether. Would you like to try that?
Amy: *kind of scared about ether* Yes, I'll try that.
...and then! And then and then and then and then and then! He brews our coffee individually in the proud Turkish tradition.
Barista: Do you take cream or sugar?
Amy: Only if it sucks.
It did not suck. It's like a wine bar for coffee...or like a jelly belly store with different kinds of coffee instead of artificially flavored corn syrup goobers.
Amy: *tips barista* I've never tipped a barista before.
Roomie: Those cupcakes piss me off.
