I heard friends rave about how great the food is so I had to check it out. In a city full of restaurants with middle-eastern food, my expectations are a little on the high side when trying a new place out. While the food wasn't bad, I didn't think it was tremendous. With so many choices in Toledo, this didn't make my must-go-back-to list.

Coney dogs for $1.55?! Yes indeed. A quick, inexpensive place for lunch and a staple to Toledo's downtown.
You get what you pay for and $50 sure doesn't go very far. When everything else seems to be booked, what are you going to do?
- Very friendly person at the desk
- Free Wi-Fi
- A stench in the room that I can not describe
- Paper thin walls
- Dirty, stained carpets
- Cinder block bathroom walls (I know I just said paper thin, but I could hear noise what seemed like all night.)
- Rickety, wobbling table with one chair
- No shampoo
- Cobwebs on the ceiling
- Blood, makeup, grease or something on the poorly patched up doors.

The Ground Level Coffeehouse

Owned by artists, keeping the local coffee shop flavor alive in Toledo. Coffee, teas, smoothies, and a grill in the back. Be sure to check out all the different events that they host nightly.
A great addition to this neighborhood, I only wish I lived closer. Toledo would do better with more independent coffee houses like Plate 21.
A tiny place with huge sandwiches! Great customer service. You definitely can't go wrong stopping at Roman's Deli.

Ranya's Mediterranean & American Cuisine

This is pretty much the only spot for a fairly complete Middle Eastern menu in downtown Toledo. Limited lunch time hours and generally slow service leave a bit to be desired. However when you have a craving for Lebanese food and can't get out of downtown, Ranya's will work.

Smoke filled and loud... Maybe that is how all casinos are. I'm not much of a gambler so I don't know. Whether that is the case for this one or all, I will pass.
Also where I was told they once would validate parking from the garage, apparently they no longer do. If you stay in the garage for more than 12 hours, prepare to give up a 20 spot.
