After she gave me a few fillings my teeth were sensitize...so I went to make sure I didn't lose a feeling. She checked me and it turned out I just have sensitive teeth and should change my toothpaste. She didn't charge me or send the little visit off to insurance either. Awesome.

Once the crack I had seen growing finally reached entirely across my windshield, I knew it was time.
I gave these guys a call...they quoted me a moderate price but said they would try to go through my insurance to get it paid for. They set everything up and called back several times after the insurance people didn't respond. It turns out the deductible on the insurance claim was going to cost more than the replacement anyway, so I decided to go through them directly. They came to place and took care of it while I am at work, and even charged me LESS than they quoted.
Excellent service.

He then gave us all a free shot of an Alabama Slammer (did I detect tang?). Never had one and was quite good....after about 30 minutes of shootin' the shit with the boss, he came back and gave everyone another free round...?!
Simply awesome. 5/5 for sure.

So.....uh Pasquini's....yeah. It sucks? so not so sure why it is getting such decently high ratings....
I went there tonight...the bread-sticks were a nice perk, but that is about it. The service was decent, the atmosphere was well....exactly like Old Chicago but with less booths. Not scoring anything special here yet.
The food arrived after a bit and was simply...bad. Maybe it was because my lady friend and I ordered something sort of strange (pineapple and black-olive pizza. It's good...NO SERIOUSLY....DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK!!!). Anyway, the pineapple was seriously white and tasted like the oblivion.
The bill said the restaurant was upscale-ish...at least in price and yet the food said it was the equivalent of a dive bar. Worst of both worlds?
I also used to know a waitress that worked there who constantly complained about the management. Not a good place to eat or work apparently.
I'd give a 1.5 if possible. It definitely doesn't deserve a one...but there were really no redeeming characteristics about the place.
Not recommended in the least.

On second thought since you all are smoking something and giving it 4s and 5s, I will give it a 1. HA!

Domo Restaurant
Category: Japanese
Neighborhoods: Southwest, Lincoln Park
Unfortunately, Domo falls in the second category.
Pay close attention to all the people that have given this place a negative review because the service and price are really THAT bad. Not only did the bill for 6 people eating a normal meal come to 170$, but the service was so bad that they we waited for over an hour to get that fatty check. The server getting us drinks wouldn't get mine for some reason - needed a different server for the tea - and they had to be waved down to come and refill our drinks.
And of course they charged all the credit cards incorrectly....my girlfriend got stuck with the 110$ portion that was suppose to be split between three other people. It took them forever to void it and they even said to expect to get charged for their mistake, but eventually the charge will be refunded.
And the price...!! Seriously?! I I just spent three hours of my wages for a meal that was just ok served by a surly waitstaff? Talk about tag-teaming my wallet.
I felt sort of cheated as I walked out of this nicely adorned establishment...psuedo-Japanese slight of hand had stolen my cash and my good mood and left me with the most of the hunger.

Lime XS
Category: Mexican
Neighborhoods: Southwest, Alamo Placita
It is quite obvious that the owner cares about appearances because damn was this place too cool for school. Original artwork, limes on the walls, interesting set-up but bad music in background and a small tv on the wall playing Family Guy on a loop.
Lime XS tries too hard...but it does a few key things right to deserve more than a 3. The food is...good. Not amazing, but solid. They were also quite vegetarian friendly which I always appreciate. The service was decent and the prices were reasonable. They have parking and a nice patio area...so hey, it's really not THAT bad.
One more thing....their booze is pretty damn pricey....but it is also a kick in the face. My lady friend had one margarita and I had to drive home, so there is that.

Well, apparently this place DOES exist on the internet now, as I've been corrected.
My original review still stands:
It is posh and weird.
Anyway, I went to the Santa Fe first friday art walk last Friday and this was the first place I stopped into, thinking it was a gallery. Perhaps the fact that there were several greeters at the door should have thrown me off of this assumption, but it didn't register till I went in.
Cheeky bastards! This is a furniture store!
And thus it was true. But not any furniture store apparently; it also customizes furniture (mad rolls of fabric around this heezy) as well as a store which also sells authentic Asian art for a premium price.
Ok, fine. You lured me in under false pretenses weird named store that doesn't exist, but I've made my peace. You get a 3 for having nice stuff that is too damn expensive.

Update....apparently my 3 star review wasn't taken so kindly by someone probably associated with the place somehow (While 'we' appreciate). I received this message recently from Jack P.
Dustin, Neilsen Metier (check your spelling) exists, and they are one of Denver's top interior firms. They moved from the Denver Design Center to the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe a year or so ago and it was a major coup for us to get them here. There clients include many top designers from Vail and Aspen.
All our member businesses are listed on www.artdistrictonsanta...
While we appreciate you coming down here and enjoying yourself, I recommend you take it easy on trying to play art critic. Please leave that to the professionals. Your "reviews" are really not very funny, accurate or informative to any other than perhaps a teenager. Sorry, that's how they come off.

Well, he doesn't have anything better to do apparently...the original review was written over a year ago, so maybe the business changed?
In any case, this sort of "compliment" was pretty unnecessary so this place gets a 1. If Jack P. isn't connected with you somehow, then I apologize weirdly-named Nielsen-Metier design store.

Habitat Gallery and Studio

I like Alex's characterization as inspired by Pink Floyd album covers...yeah sounds about right.
Seriously, just not super-impressed by the work in here that looked more like a college Freshman studio than an art gallery in a major city.

In any case, this place now gets a 1/5 for tackiness of director.

Well, my father is a mechanic, so I took my car over to his place to get my brakes done a few days ago, and what did I find? The brakes were in excellent condition: the people there were bullshitting me to get more work.
I won't be taking my car there again.
