The Good: Called for walk-in without reservation and host was very accommodating. Valet ($8) guy was terrific; and they offer to bring your car out as you pay for the tab. Well decorated space, quiet, staff all very courteous. Eighteen percent service charge (yes, I consider this good; it ensures that staff receive proper gratuity).
The OK: Udon noodles, cheese plate, pork rissette, wine all decent, but nothing memorable.
The Bad: Service slow initially.
I would recommend Coi with reservations. If money is an issue, be careful what you order. But worth at least one visit.

First to Review
The Great China Theater opened around 1925 in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown; in the early 1960's, its name was changed to Great Star Theater. Only Chinese films were ever shown there, it closed around 2000, and is now vacant.
A group of volunteers is actively seeking to re-open the historic venue.
In the course of a life that began in a housing project in the South Bronx and brought her to the pinnacle of her profession, Judge Sotomayor accumulated more experience on the federal bench than any incoming Supreme Court Justice in the past 100 years, touching nearly every aspect of our legal system.
But Judge Sotomayor's ethnicity has proven too much of a temptation for the voices of hate and extremism, who instead of looking at her judicial record have launched a vocal rampage that has reached new heights of absurdity, including calling her a "reverse racist" and calling the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) "the Latino KKK without the hoods and nooses."
Condemn these unacceptable attacks on Latinos and Judge Sotomayor now. Join NLCR and send a message to Chairman Michael Steele of the RNC, House Minority Leader John Boehner, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell asking them to denounce these statements and restore the nomination process for Judge Sotomayor to a more appropriate and civil discourse.
EJS has also launched a blog and Facebook page in support for Judge Sotomayor. Visit http://ConfirmSotomayo... and join the Facebook page as a fan. The blog includes a page with information on how you can support Judge Sotomayor.

One star for being owned by cool dudes. Second star for being close to my office. Another star for quality dishes and affectionate service -- both of which I'm confident will be excellent when A5 opens officially. Fourth star for attractive interior and very large lounge area. Big shiny asterisk (i.e. thumbs up!) for Matt the bartender.
Already one of my favorite places.People thought this was:
