Alchemy is right around the corner from our apartment and we visit often, both for brunch and dinner.

The food is good, and the atmosphere is great. Their bloody mary is my favorite in the area. It's served in a pint glass and has plenty of flavor.

There are 4 or 5 booths in the front and a few large tables in the back. When it's busy you may be seated at one of the large tables with other parties. Although I prefer the booths, the tables aren't bad... I much prefer them to a bunch of smaller tables placed an inch apart. They also have a decent amount of seating on the patio out back, but I don't think I've ever eaten out there. Something to look forward to this spring!

This review is for the 45th Street location. I have been going here for about 6 months, and I really like it. I find that it's a comfortable place to workout, not super chic and pretentious like some NYC gyms come off. It has been recently remodeled, so the interior and most of the equipment is modern.

There are three floors - a basement with the pool, steam room, showers, etc.; the second (and main) floor with the locker rooms and a few machines; and the third floor with the weight room, cardio machines, and a large room for classes.

The staff is friendly enough and has never tried to push anything on me. Once when I was leaving, they asked if I'd like a free personal training session. I said no, and that was that. There are always signs around about various special offers, but there has never been any pressure to take advantage of them.

It's a small space and they don't have a ton of equipment, but it's never crowded so that's never been a problem. I usually go in the morning before work, and sometimes on the weekends, and on average I would say 90% of the equipment is available.

One final thing - they offer a locker and laundry service that I really like. It means I don't have to lug gym clothes, shoes, etc. back and forth, which is a huge convenience. It costs extra, but it's worth it in my opinion.

I've been going here for about 6 months to get my hair cut by Arnold. He does a great job and the prices are fair... especially given the 5th Avenue location.

I regularly use Arecibo for local runs, as well as trips into Manhattan and to the airports. The cars are nice, the drivers are friendly and the prices are fair... I've never had any problems. Highly recommended if you need a car in Park Slope.

This is our regular delivery place. Delivery is quick and pizza is consistently good.

As far as New York bagels go it always seems to come down to big and doughy vs. small and crunchy. If you prefer the former (like I do) then La Bagel Delight is for you. I've tried a few bagels around the city and La Bagel Delight is my favorite (with the possible exception of H&H on the UWS). If you like the small crunchies, check out another Park Slope favorite - the Bagel Hole.

I always enjoy this place and visit often for growler refills. In addition to a huge selection of specialty beers, they also have a nice variety of cheese, crackers, etc. This is my favorite store in Park Slope, and quite possibly all of NYC.

I have been here twice and it's just great - Excellent sushi and friendly staff at a good price. I plan to go back again and again.

I recently moved to Park Slope and have used laundry.bz 3 times.  I completely agree with the other reviewers - the service is great despite the somewhat shady name and awkward website. Highly recommended!
