As someone who does a good amount of television commentary and public speaking I take my appearance very seriously. I'm impressed with Salon deZEN's professionalism and variety of services.  I've been having my hair done by Elizabeth (the owner) for quite some time and I can't imagine going anywhere else. In a town like DC, there are plenty of stodgy, stuffy places you can get your hair done -- it's DC. Salon deZen is fun, hip, current, and above all professional. A great combination not found often in the DC area.

I ordered the burger. The fries were fine but the fixings for the burger were seriously lacking. I was given one small piece of romaine lettuce, a pickle spear and a thinly sliced mutilated tomato. The burger was very dry but on the upside I was allowed to pay for an extra piece of lettuce and a slice of onion. The soda was also flat. I posted a photo under the place's photos on here. Hideous.

Dr. Surprenant is the best dentist I've ever had.  I've been going to him for about four years now for regular checkups and a six month run with Invisalign which turned out great. I've recommended him to more friends than I can count and urge you to consider him for your dental needs.

If you can get in the food is pretty good. I happened to sneak in the back door with a friend while the main street by the front door was blocked for a motorcade and didn't have to wait. Not bad for a Friday at 8pm. This place is all about the sliders. Mmm.

I was home and it was late but I was hungry so I let Foodler convince me to place my delivery order for Sawah Diner.  What a mistake.

First the delivery took 90 minutes.

I ordered Penne Ala Pesto witch Chicken -- a very simple dish.  IT WAS DISGUSTING.  There was sauce, lots of sauce.  More sauce than chicken or penne but it was NOT pesto or any other kind of sauce I've encountered before.  Perhaps hummus mixed with cheese wiz?  The pasta was so overcooked and covered in sauce that it resembled mush.  Gross.

I also ordered mozzarella cheese sticks which were cold AND overcooked.

The only thing worth eating was the tiny side salad and pita pocket the accompanied the pasta dish. Mmmmm now that's what I call dinner!

Now I'm waiting at home for my refund and the manager tells me he will TRY to make sure it arrives before they close at 4am.  Oh the joy.
