Redi-Box is a lifesaver when it comes to moving! The boxes themselves are super sturdy, and you don't have to worry about taping up boxes, just put your stuff into the box, close it up and stack it away for moving day. It's *that* simple. Plus Bobby is super great, very helpful and professional. Highly recommended!

Beard Papa's Cream Puffs

I LOVE Beard Papa's cream puffs! If i could give six stars to this review i would!

I'm pretty sure if no one tells me to stop, i probably can eat an entire dozen of vanilla or chocolate or strawberry cream puffs in one sitting, because they're so light and fluffy and tasty. I probably sound delirious, but it's only because these cream puffs are sooooo good!!

Also love the Paris brest, try them with the vanilla custard. Best pick-me-up on a Friday afternoon!

Hearty! say it with me again - Hearty! the Great plainsman (aka best Shepherd's pie money can buy with the exception of you making your own) is delicious!

The cooking instructions are simple and straight forward, David (Johnny Casserole) also throws in some fresh chives so you can sprinkle on top of the casserole after it's been cooked for picture perfect look. Yummy and hearty. It's a bit pricey but it will feed many hungry people.

Corepower Yoga was giving out free 1st week of classes, who can resist?

I've been going to yoga classes in a different location for months, but was curious about the hot yoga aspect. I checked out CorePower Yoga 2 and
Hot Power Fusion.

I know the poses pretty well, so I thought CorePower Yoga 2 would be about the right level for me. I'd say the heat definitely adds to the challenge of the session, I probably sweated out 5 pound of fluids from my body from that one session, it was intense! A quick tip: stay further away from the fireplace or the line of heat if this is your first time at a hot yoga session. (CorePower yoga 1 is not a heated class, so the option is there if you want to ease into yoga practice).

The Hot Power Fusion class was much easier in comparison, the transitions were slower and no chaturanga dandasana were practiced. I think this class is intended to be injury-friendly.

The instructors were nice, and they tend to go around to help with poses rather than just show the poses in the front of the class. The classes tend to be quite full, so be ready that you may touch your neighbors' limbs. The floor is non-carpeted, which i hear is not always the case for bikram yoga studios.

Overall, I quite enjoyed the yoga classes at Corepower. They also have teachers training program if you want to spread the om.

Ami Desai

After my last doctor moved, I haven't looked for another primary physician for a few years. With minimal reference to go on, I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Desai!

Usually the experience of visiting your doctor is - after waiting a long time in the waiting room (even though you're on time), you get directed into a room, get told to strip down and wear a paper gown, then wait uncomfortably and anxiously for the doctor to come and examine you.

Turns out, most of that was true, except, there was no paper gown in the room. So I waited, within a few minutes, Dr. Desai came in and said hello. I asked about the paper gown, and she said, "don't worry about it, we can chat first and i'll get you a gown later on!" That seems like such a small thing but it made me feel like i am more than just another patient she's trying to check off the appointment list.

We went on to talk about my medical history and she listened, asked questions, and made me at ease about the whole visit. She was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, not rushing me on anything. It is so nice to have a human for a doctor!!

I would recommend Dr.Desai 100%!

Fox & Obel

if you're looking for a gourmet food market in the city, look no further than Fox & Obel. It's made up of a grocery and a cafe. Overall, Yes to the food market; so-so to the cafe.

Everything at the market is of superb quality, and you'll likely find that obscure fruit you've read about in some foodie magazine. I love their bakery! Their french baguette is the best in the city, serious! And it's almost impossible to walk by the pastry area without drooling a little - the fruit tarts are amazing! and in the summer, the penna cotta with cassis is so good it's worth the workout just to have it.

The ready-made food section has great selections of items, most are a bit too pricey, but they *are* quite tasty.

The cafe is usually packed on the weekends for brunch, I'd say the brunch quality has dropped somewhat since a year or two ago. Try Truffled eggs Benedict - probably the tastiest of all the brunch items. Pass on the pancake and waffles.  Also, skip the lobster club, for the money you pay, you shouldn't have to look around for the lobster bits!

simple decor, cozy, non-pretentious friendly staff, oh, and my favorite place for amazing burgers!

The Kobe beef fois gras burger (get it medium-rare if you like medium) with the beef tallow frites go together like a movie with popcorn. a must-try. go on Wednesdays and the burger is $10 instead of $17 regular price.

The hot appetizers were great (mussels, scallops were both pretty good), soups were *ok*, and i find the desserts to be hit or miss, can't say they were too memorable. And, it's BYOB.
