Update - 1/14/2012
I upped my stars to two because the manager emailed me to apologize for the crappy time I had.

I really think the problem here is the training. All of the problems I had rested on the shoulders of our ill-experienced waiter. For a place like this, where service is key and the prices are above-average, your service and training MUST be better.

Yes, I know training waiters is expensive and time consuming, but you would probably have more customers (locals and tourists) coming back and giving this place higher ratings. I think I'll try it again in a year and see if anything has changed. Until then, I'm leaving it at two stars.

This place is crap! Save your money!

Took my sister here, in search of good seafood. She wanted to see the touristy area, so I brought her to fisherman's wharf.

Food was decent, but the service was so TERRIBLE!

    1. My boyfriend asks for a bread bowl for his soup. He gets a normal bowl.
    2. We ask the waiter to split the check and he says, "Are you serious? Oh, that's going to take a while." He intentionally took another half hour to give us our UNSPLIT check. Wtf dude?
    3. I dunno whose bright idea this was, but you don't walk up to your customers table, slide their plates over, then shove a large platter full of desserts onto the table, enticing them to buy something off the platter. I watched you walk around the restaurant for a LONG time with that same platter. How long do you think that cheesecake can sit in room temperature before it's disgusting? Of course I'm not going to purchase a dessert off your platter. Gross! Bring me a dessert menu, dangit!
    4. Food took forever to come out. So, so long...

Again, a waste of money. Save it and go in search of better crab somewhere else in the city.

Domino's Pizza

Terrible, terrible, terrible!

I've ordered from this Domino's Pizza several times in the past year, and every SINGLE time, something is screwed up.

Why did it take me so long to write this? I was hoping that 'change in management' would up the training and customer service of this pizza place, but alas... It still sucks.

So, here is a list of things off the top of my head that I've experienced with them:
1. Advertised national coupons / or local mailed coupons were not taken.
2. No coupon expiration date on coupons, but they still were not permitted.
3. Missing sauces that I PAID for online.
4. Missing sauces that I asked for over the phone.
5. Long wait on delivery to our house which is 0.1 to 0.2 miles away.
6. CinnaStix instead of Breadsticks.
7. Pizza missing a topping, or being completely different.
8. When I call about a mistake, they offer to credit it to my account, not to send the correct item same night. (This is a big one, because- to me- if you really want to WOW your customers, you apologize and send out the correct item ASAP, AND you send them a coupon).
9. They no longer sell Garlic Sauce. WTF? It's still on every other Domino's pizza menu! And it's almost the same at the garlic you now use on the crusts of the handtossed pizza. Just dump some of that in a cup and make a girl happy, ok?

I am a bit biased about this, because I've worked at a Domino's, or two... or three... for several years of my young adult life. So I know by the book, the proper training and even the amount of pepperonis that should be on a pizza. I know when you take an order over the phone, you repeat it back for the sake of the customer and to not screw it up. You don't hold a pizza sideways because of (duh) gravity. And when a customer asks you to take a coupon, you take it (because the profit margin on a Domino's Pizza is so high, you still make money).

So this so called change of management needs to work on better training and better customer service. I'll continue to order because I do love my domino's pizza, but I'll be damned if I don't call you guys EVERY time you fuck it up.

And are you hiring? Shit, I'd train your people for free if it meant my hard earned money was spent on better made pizzas and better customer service!

I got a bad vibe about this place.

The waiter, a very experienced and sophisticated Italian man, was very helpful with picking a wine. I appreciated his help with that.

I was really craving red sauce, simple spaghetti. When ordering food, he told me "No, no, no, the spaghetti is not good. You need to have this instead." And I asked if it was similar to spaghetti, to which he said yes.

Food came out, and my food was nothing like spaghetti. He had me order something I'd never had, which I'm sure some people would like. But really, green pesto sauce (with very little flavor compared to the pesto I make at home and I've had in Italy), is nothing like marinara sauce!

So, try their food, but don't let the waiter order for you. I learned my lesson.

I can't say much about the price, because for our party of 10, someone else paid, but DAMN the food and atmosphere is incredible!

I had an amazing experience here and will definitely go back for more special occasions.

Reserve a table, it was packed when we went.

The mint tea was delicious, and the different courses were very very tastey.

And they have belly dancers!!

If you want to eat seafood on the wharf, this is a good choice. Very very good service and the food is pretty darn good!

Don't go to Swiss Louis down the pier. Fog Harbor may cost more, but it's worth it.

I came here with a group of six people. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was, although dimly lit and a bit dingy, very welcoming.
My friend ordered a vietnamese coffee and holy crap, that thing was delicious! It was like straight sugar with a hint of coffee on ice. Amazing.
I ordered the vermicelli with spring rolls. Something cool about this place is they have little peices of cooked pepper or something in the vermicelli. I've never seen this before and it added a tangyness to the meal that I really liked! No extra fish sauce on the table though. :(
The meals came out as they were cooked, and mine was the last to be served... so it takes... 20 minutes to make vermicelli? That seemed a bit off.
The prices were great. For the six of us out total was about $60 so easy to divide and add tip.
The parking lot is incredibly small and we had to park behind the next door Wendy's... creepy back alley feel to it.
I don't think I would go out of my way to come back here when I have Bamboo Chopstick right next door to my home.

The Noodle House

I'm a big fan of asian cuisine, so I had to give this place a try.

Overall, I really liked it. I got the Chow Mein (which, as weird as this is, on the East Coast- Chow Mein is Lo Mein. And out here Lo Mein doesn't exist! Weird.).

The portion was huge and the chow mein was great! Very tastey and fresh, took a while to come out though.

Though, I seem to have a stroke of bad luck with asian restaurants. My server always forgets my drink! Or, they won't even ask if I want something other than water. The server at The Noodle House didn't remember my soda until my boyfriend asked for a refill and it dawned on her that she forgot mine. Duh, write down the order maybe? Small pet peeve, but it's annoying.

So, although tastey, I'll probably go back to Panda Express instead. Although not as fresh and cheaper, it's plenty faster and I'll always get my soda!

I just moved to the area and I've already dined (and done takeout) here at least 3 times.
Prices are great. Spend less than $15 and get appetizer, soda, and a dinner.
I love their imperial rolls. So much that I keep ordering the same thing- vermicelli with imperial rolls. The vermicelli combo is delicious as well.
When you dine in, this is cool. They have fish sauce at the table! I could drink this stuff. It's amazing! I'm glad they supply extra at the table.
Getting to the restaurant is a little tricky. They are located behind the Domino's Pizza, in a small parking lot that's driveway is on a slope. Be careful with your car when you drive up, or it'll scratch. :(
Apparently this is a family-owned establishment. I love little places that locals own and run. Every night I've been in, the same girl serves us. She's really nice and I always try to tip her well.
Their takeout takes about 15 minutes to make.
I only wish they were open 7 days a week so I could eat here every night!

I had lived in the St. Robert area for well over 10 years, so you know I was happy to have another choice of restaurants to dine at.

This Panera (located right off I-44, the St. Robert exit), is extremely popular right now and busy.

It's just like any other Panera, with free Wi-fi (G), the usual soups and sammiches, and good prices. The crew is a little new so they were a little slow when taking orders these first few months. The fact that they were so nice and friendly made up for it. Food was quickly made, and I have had several good experiences here. I have yet to find anything bad to say about it except this Panera was built just shy of my moving away. What took you so long?!

Hilltop Mall

I figured a 'mall' would be like every other mall I've been to. It would have the normal stores (Victorias secret, Charlotte, aeropostale, jewelry stores, maybe a Godiva), a few department stores at the ends, and a food court.
I came here to waste time while trying to find an apartment in the northern east bay.

The mall has no normal stores, they are all locally owned places which is cool. There is a cheap furniture store and an Asian furniture store- both of which were nice finds.
Other than that, nothing worth noting. I didn't feel welcome at all, and I worried a bit about my car left outside.
There is a Walmart attached to Hilltop? Weird.

If you're looking for really skimpy club wear or pants that 'fall to the flo' then you've found the right place.
Me? I'll stick to those malls I just found in Concord and Walnut Creek. I don't care if they're a little bit farther away, at least I can enjoy myself without looking out for my life.
