What a change from Pastime. Don't get me wrong, I'm down with the old school dive bar, but can't really say I had any memorable experiences at Pastime (usually when people got 86'd from The Brewery, please tell me somebody remembers those drunken escapades). I thought it made quite a first impression. My "dirty" martini was cleaner than a whistle, but vodka is my friend and vermouth isn't a requirement. the service appeared to be trying hard on a Fri night and whenever we needed something they retrieved it quickly. Easily the best full bar in Benicia if you're entertaining guests who want that type of scene.

I'm almost always down for a tapas-style place. Since a co-worker is of Basque-decent I thought it would be a pleasant surprise. Since we're both early lunchers getting a table was no problem and service was flawless (11:15ish). We split 4 bocadillos (our server offered to cut them in two). The serrano hame, catalan sausage, roast beef w/goat cheese, lamb burger and the potatoes. Although the sausage was my particular fav, all were flavorful and pretty filling. We got out of there for about $16 per and I felt completey satisfied with the amount of food vs. price and probably got the "win".
Gracies is aight if you're just craving BBQ and don't really want anything else. The ribs and chicken were overcooked, making parts tough. The hot link was your standard link. I have to agree with another earlier rater about the red beans & rice. Popeye's is better. The cornbread was also dry and tasted like Marie Calendar's from the grocery store. The green beans looked like they came from a can as well. Overall it was medicore. Look for the guy out front who "needed bus money to get home because his car got impounded because he was smoking weed and didn't have a license". TMI, bro. Besides, that weak scam hasn't worked in decades. Uh my bad, the lady walking into Gracies before me apparently likes giving her money away. Now I know why she is a repeat customer.

As soon as I saw what was on tap I knew I was in the right place. There's something amazing about drinking while you shop. Not only are the choices far more unique than your "NevMo", but the proprietors are well-versed in most of their products. And if they aren't they will be honest and tell you! I have no issue with that. I hope this place thrives and expands because their passion really shows.

This truck won't be replacing my regular lunch routine spots, nor will it be replacing my burrito vendor but in a pinch and considering it's the only one in the area,it fills a need. The pastor was tasty, but a little light for a "super" and I got the majority of the cheese in the south end of my north-travelling 'ritto.
Solid bar experience for an afternoon of divey drinkin'. The bartender was cool and they had Eye of the Hawk on tap. Bonus points for that. Jukebox was excellent. NOFX? Hell yeah. The only downside was the couple in their 50's sucking face at the bar. Seriously? When they left our 'tender said they were both married (to other people) and came here to pre-cheat or whatnot. If you're gonna grope/make out in a bar with 3 other people in it, just don't be so loud about it.

We've been having a "Check Engine Light" issue and it seems Toyota Vallejo will glady take money to run it through their magic computer, but since the light was not on their magic computer can't do squat. Apparently they did not physically look to make sure the light was on and ran the test anyways. But thanks for calling me afterwards to tell me absolutely nothing. Waive the fee? Why do that when you can just quote the automatic "You need to replace your catalytic converter" ad nauseum (@ $1300 BEFORE labor). Where do I sign up? Needless to say, they've lost our business forever. Enjoy that diagnostic fee $, because it's the last from us. Their first club out of the bag when you question a charge is extreme defensive, so it seems like they have a lot of practice angering customers.
Do yourself a huge favor and check "error codes" and plug them into the online mechanic message boards prior to agreeing to any service from this shop. If you don't, you could be on the hook for a $1K in no time flat.

First off, the Mrs. took her car here without consulting me. Ugh. A recipe for disaster, as she knows next to nothing about cars. So, simple smog check right? Well, her car didn't pass. No biggie, but the guy was a complete ass to her and condocending to boot (Derek). I spoke with him on the phone and got attitude as well. Hey fu*&%stick, I've replaced o2 sensors before, it's not rocket science (although it may be for you). If this is the last repair shop on earth I'm riding my bike until I croak.
I guess you're either a complete lush or intimately know the area to find this literal hole-in-the-wall bar. When we were kids we used to make fun of the drunks coming out of this place. Little did I know that one day I would be one of those drunks. But unlike Luke Skywalker, I embrace the dark side. This place is tiny, but the drinks are strong and cheap. Plus, if I get too sauced it's within stumbling distance of the parents casa. Watch out for the sharks at the pool table though.

I can't believe this place hasn't been rated yet. Are there no native East Vallejoans on Yelp? Jesse still runs the place and they have probably one of the better micro beer selections in the V (which is not saying much). Don't linger around though. Sketchy crowds roll through there. Get your booze and get out. And porn. They also have a fine porn selection.
