This is my childhood bakery! They continue to amaze me over the years with their expanded pastries, pies and of course cakes. The staff are cool...the location is perfect...and my love for their baked goods has not changed since I was a kid! They are the best!

Did someone say candy? This place has tons of it. I've been to my fair share of candy shops and what I love about this place is the striking colors, the playfulness in the decor, the wide array of candies - the usual suspects were present (chocolate caramels, chocolate covered peanuts, swedish fish). They even have interesting spicy chocolates that tasted delish! They also host private parties and events at the shop. Pretty cool!

I have found the macaroons spot thus far in my foodie quest! The butter creme to die for and its not as expensive as their Parisian counterparts. Although the selection is not great they make up for their lack of flavors with a wide assortment of equally delish treats and ice cream! Plus the staff are cool beans. I definitely will be back this summer to try everything!

I've been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The coffee flavor offerings are endless. It's a typical coffee shop in other ways-bagels, lox, juices, etc.
The coolest thing about this place is that its open really early and most importantly it's in my hood. While I'm not a coffee fanatic, this places gives great beans with each cup.

If you came here for JUST chicken and waffles then you are silly and are underselling this place. SoCo is more than chicken and cake! This place is on point--great service, savvy menu, yummy cocktails and a music hotspot to see performances/DJs! It doesn't get any better. I've been here once and checked SoCo recently at the annual Tasting Brooklyn event to sample their jumbo. This place an instant favorite and I'm coming back many times over

I have come to the mecca of macarons! I wish that THIS was the place that I tried macarons for the first time. Its a typical macaron but not as sweet and a heck of a lot of flavors to offer up. Next up is to try their lattes, hot chocolate, etc. to see if this is now my new fav spot for Parisian sweets and caffeine libations.

Super surprised about the reviews....Virgils and hands down the BEST bbq offering in this area. I was actually shocked! I came here thinking this was a tourist trap (pricey) and tasteless (I come from a southern family so I think I know a thing or two about bbq). The portions are humungous, the prices are up my alley, great for big groups and the drinks are strong (that works for me...eat...sip...eat...sip and repeat). The only downside is that this place is located where the tourists are and NOT in my Bklyn hood..lol. Ignore the subpar reviews and check this place out for yourself.

You better be ready for this fast paced restaurant! The foodie combos of noodles and more are endless. The people here take good care of you with quick service and a smile! I had the spring rolls which are the best EVER had.

The only downside was I wished this place was not as snug as it is - more space please? Other than that I will return to try more dishes at this new popular spot!
