Not bad, but not great. The decor is cool, and I like the setup of the place, but the food just didn't blow me away. It was average.

This place a great!
Having driven past this place at least dozens of times, I finally decided to give it a shot for a dinner with some girlfriends.
The restaurant is in an awkward location with a VERY small parking lot, so expect to park on the street. We went on a sunday night and it wasn't very crowded.
I ordered the fish special, the filet of sole and it was AMAZING! The fish was tender and tasty. Both of my friends really enjoyed their food as well.
The atmosphere was nice and the food was not too expensive. I will go back again.

This place gets 3 stars because usually I would NOT eat Indian food. But I was going to lunch with a friend and he suggested it.
The food was good and the place was not crowded. Everyone enjoyed their dish. The service could have been a bit better.

I went to Gallery Bar for a friends birthday. (this seems to be a popular birthday spot) He had made reservations for a group so there was no cover and I got right in.
The place was a little crowded, but that's to be expected on a sat night in the LES. For the neighborhood the drinks were reasonably priced. (around $7) The music was good and we danced a bit. Overall I had a good time.

I like this place! Very cute atmosphere, but tiny! Be prepared to wait if you are going for brunch.
Great menu, options for everyone. I got the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. They came with fries that were light and delicious, and a side salad that was seasoned well and very refreshing.
Over all it's a great place to grab brunch with a friend.
Probably not the best for large groups.

I have never gotten so many compliments on my glasses my whole life, as I do from the frames I got at modern eye.
This place is 5 stars all the way!
I had my eyes examined here, and I picked out my frames here as well. The staff is very friendly and they love helping people find the perfect pair.
It is a very trendy place, so be prepared to find some out there frames.
They only carry frames from companies that only make glasses, so you are sure to find great quality frames that you can't get everywhere.

I'm giving this place 4 stars and I will explain why.
First of all, when I'm craving sushi, keep in mind that I only eat the cooked stuff. So I can't comment on the fish grade.
But this place has creative rolls that I get serious cravings for. I get the crab lovers roll and the crazy shrimp roll. I leave super full, and very happy.
I agree that the rolls aren't always that tightly wrapped, but the great flavors make up for it.

Just updating my review to tell you that the new Drinkers West has fish tacos and they are good :)
I'm so happy that this place is on my corner.
The fish tacos come in a crispy fried tortilla shell which is yummy but makes them a little tricky to eat.
Next time I will request a soft shell.

Just opened on the corner of 39th and Chestnut this new Drinkers location I'm sure will be very busy in a few weeks.
I stopped in because its right on my block and I was happy with what I found.
It's a nice big place with a good cheap menu.
I came on a tues when they have $1 tacos all night.
I got bean tacos and they were very good.
mahi mahi tacos FTW!!! I have been looking all over Philly for some good fish tacos and I found them here!
I went to El Vez on a friday night without a reservation. We did wait about 30 mins for a table and once we were seated, we waited about 10-15 mins before anyone even came to give us water.
It would get 3 stars for service but once the food came, it was so good that I had to give it 4 stars.
