Beware weekend/holiday rate.

Wkd rate is $8, but apparently goes by calendar day and not 24/hrs. So arrive Saturday night, depart Sunday midday = $16, not $8. Minor annoyance.

Much bigger problem, apparently they make up their own definition of "holiday."

Told MLK day NOT a holiday in their book, so parking Sat night- Monday (holiday) afternoon cost us $40 instead of the $16 we were expecting to pay.

Clerk had a hard time even explaining the calendar day thing, I requested she call manager on the holiday issue, maybe the computer wasn't programmed correctly to note that it was a holiday? Nope manager says it isn't a holiday.

Ridiculous. If they don't want to go by federal/school/bank holiday rules, they need to list the dates they count as a holiday.

I was nervous after reading some reviews where people said they had sushi that was downright unworkable. But we've been 3 times and have yet to have anything that was subpar. I think those issues might have occurred b/c it was winter and the supply chain was disrupted, but that's pure speculation on my part.

I really like the teriyaki, but I am no expert on that. Both the salmon and the chicken teriyaki are legit cuts, not a chicken breast patty type thing.  It's not a "sushi place" it's a more wide-ranging Japanese restaurant that includes sushi as well as lots of tempura, teriyaki, and some noodle dishes. The sushi can be a little sloppy, but I like it for the taste, not the stickiness, so I don't mind it too much.

While for just pure fresh food we've liked some other places in town a bit more, we've been repeat customers here b/c it is good, very filling, and can be pretty affordable if you stick to the right items. There are a lot of items I'm interested in, which hasn't really been the case with some of the fancier places - I've already tried the 1 or 2 dishes there that really interest me, and I don't necessarily need to have them again.  It's a nice but relaxing, casual atmosphere if you eat in, and there are often alot of families, which you don't see much in more sushi-specific places. Service can be slow, especially when it's busy, so don't plan on eating in if you're in a hurry- they do also offer to-go service tho so try that if you're in a rush.

Ratings of course factor in location, (and other objective information like cost and menu) b/c the point of Yelp is to add that subjective element, and be comparative so you can find a place to eat in a given location, not to find the best X in the world. Of course $100/ person sushi in NYC or SF would be better, but for Banff/Canmore it's a good option.

These guys rock! I have a box here, when I was picking which store to use I sent emails to about 10 around Boston, I compared prices, but also the fact that the owner here wrote back put them over the top.

The owner is actively involved in managing the store, and it shows. All the employees are courteous and competent, and as another reviewer mentioned, they actually take pride in their work and care about customer
service which is rare to see these days. Thanks guys!

-THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED due to a fire-Was disappointed to find a boarded up front entry here today, website says it is closed "indefinitely", but there are several other locations in Montreal.

Hate to hate on this place, but the two star "meh" describes our experience pretty perfectly.

Had a sweet old-school waitress who was fun and took pride in her job, but that- and the speed with which we were in-and-out - were the only real pluses.  The food was pretty much blah diner quality.

I had french toast with eggs and bacon. French toast was super thin bread, nothing fancy or gourmet about it, nor very  filling. Bacon was grocery-store style, not local thick type bacon. Bf had a tuna sandwich, same sorta deal- tuna from a can with a little mayo mixed in slapped on some bread. Side salad was a bag salad mix with olives and cheese tossed on top.

Pretty much what you could just make at home. Not expensive per say, but kinda expensive for this type of food. If you're looking for diner food you'll probably be satisfied, be we were expecting more, maybe that's our bad.

4.5 stars. Glad I hadn't seen the lowish avg on yelp or I might not have stopped! We wanted to get something between standard lunch and dinner hours, and ended up bailing on Gazpacho's b/c of no seafood options.

Nini's hit the spot. It's Chipotle, but with more options and more local.

Staff was cool / laid back but still provided good service. I had pork burrito and bf had fish tacos, both were quite good. Not insanely good, but plenty good for a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price, and good enuf we went back the next day to get something to go for the road. My 2nd burrito wasn't as ideally balanced or as warm as the first, but still got the job done.

Chips and gauc also recommended!

Sweet local bookstore, good selection, tons of interesting local interest and local authors. Got a cool set of xmas cards. Staff handled insanity of Noel night (downtown holiday fest) with grace. Thanks guys!

Food was super good and very reasonably priced, but service was super duper slow. Need to up the service game to match the quality of the food.  

Waited at least 20 minutes after being seated to have any acknowledgement from any staff person. Got some water poured and waited some additional time before a server came over and asked our order. Waited again for food, our appetizer came out pretty cool at the same time as our entrees (didn't really need the app at that point, were mostly getting to hold us over). A couple near us left after just getting an app when their entree order was somehow lost (along with another couple's) and had to be re-taken.

I hope this was just a bad night (6pm on a Friday, and there was a private function), but from other reviews sounds like this isn't the first time the service side has fallen through. If you just can't keep up worst case scenario just don't seat people, just say there is a wait and take on only the number of parties the waitstaff can manage.

The waitstaff was very apologetic, but still took away abit from the experience, both in waiting, and just the stressful air the place took on.

I would go back b/c the food was really good and I care about food more than service, but wish I'd had a better experience.

Quick oil change and super friendly service. Dealership had told me brakes would need to be done next oil change, but they said I could hold off a bit longer. Only wish they had a better waiting space, had to walk to a place nearby to wait, but the website sez they offer a better waiting space at their new location.

While this is the official name of the store, Napa Auto Parts is what is says real big out front.

These guys rock! Called ahead to see if they had chains for my car in stock (since in OR you're required to have them in your car during winter months to drive, you know, anywhere) and they were able to look it up real quick for me and save a set under my name.

When we arrived in person there were 4 sales consultants all seemingly being very helpful to customers, incld. one rocking fluent spanish. The cashier asked if she could help us, cheerfully remembered my phone call earlier, and literally ran to the back to grab my chains. While she was gone for maybe 3 minutes grabbing them, 2 different associates fretted that we were left un-helped and tried to jump in and help.

Seems like a great store with good old fashioned customer service. Nice to find people that are both knowledgeable about cars and friendly, it's too often one or the other.
