Okay so grabbed lunch here before heading out to the movies with some girlfriends. Started with the Edamame..excellent..buttery good with just the right amount of salt. I ordered the "Damn Good" and it was just that DAMN GOOD! It was solid enough so it didnt fall apart once touched by chopsticks and the smokey goodness of the chipotle sauce was the perfect addition. I tried the Hawaiian my friend ordered which she really enjoyed. For me not a lot of flavor and it fell apart easily, well for me. Im not great with chopsticks and may squeeze to hard. lol But I prefer a "kick" to my sushi so the Hawaiian was too bland for my taste. For dessert the three of us tried the Apple Tempura. I loved the coating but the apple itself was a bit tart. I think I would have definitely preferred the banana. Regardless I would definitely recommend checking this place out, Great sushi, laid back atmosphere, great service and great prices.

Camelback Moving Inc.

 Update - 1/26/2010
Well I had to take away a star..From the attachment from my receipt I was under the impression that I would receive a $50 referral fee for my referrals. When my friend booked with them  (and they didn't ask who referred her) I called them. It turns out they only give out referral fees for state to state moves. Well that sucks.. I know A LOT more people that move within the state than move out of state. Too bad if there was a $50 referral fee I would go out of my way to recommend. Now Im left kind of disappointed.. I had another referral for them,.. but now i just dont feel like making the effort. Show owner comment »

I have moved A LOT..and it's pretty hard to find a moving company that you will use a 2nd time. Some I swear could double as a methadone clinic. I had one team of movers show up.. teeth missing, etc.. Not that they werent nice people but they were sketchy and a bit careless with my stuff  but they did bring me my stuff so I guess it could have been worse. However..Camelback Moving was AMAZING. I have confidence that none of their employees will end up on the show Intervention.

They were a little late but they called early to tell me which makes all the difference when you're tyring to plan your day. They arrived 1/2 an hour after my window which wasnt bad at all.  2 young guys showed up.. clean polite and freakin fast! I I was moved within 2.15 hours.. a 1 bedroom from Glendale to Scottsdale. Nothing was scuffed or broken and there were no surprises. I wouldn't even bat an eye if I was asked if I would use them again. There is no question that I would and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Prices are reasonable and you can move without worrying something will go awry!

First time in Prescott on a surprise trip and this couldn't have been a better place to leave me with a great first impression. This place is small, like Hansel & Gretel house small. The server was so friendly and sweet and attentive but not in a "get off me" way. The hour was "happy" so we ordered a bunch of tapas. They were all delicious, tasty morsels. To be clear we ordered 6 various items and they nailed every single one. presentation, taste, quantity. The only one I would have done differently is the Beef Pinchos.the seasoning is pretty prominent on it's own that you cant taste the horseradish cream sauce, so my suggestion is just plain old fashioned sour cream would do this particular item just fine. LOVE it. will be back to Prescott if not just to try dinner here!

Maggiano's Little Italy

Category: Italian

I don't  even know where to begin. I guess lets start with the decor. The outside and the immediate entrance gives you the vibe that you should be walking into a 5 star restaurant, a Mortons or a Capital Grill. Then you start to people watch as you wait for your table and see a varied group to say the least. You see the suits, the older Scottsdale women on dates with their husbands, then you see the working class that didn't feel the need to dress up.. wearing denim shirts, jeans, work boots..Maybe they don't know any better? Makes me cringe like when people wear jeans to the Nutcracker. Then you have the wanna be eminiem, baggy jeans, hat, overstuffed sports apparel jacket taking his trashy lady (wearing a micro mini jean skirt and heels in 50 degree weather and rain.)out for the night. Lets just say this crowd does not go together, only in a train station, would be the best way to describe it...a people watching extravaganza.

The dining room: where you would have expected white tablecloths you will find checkered? I guess its supposed to be a throwback to small Italian restaurants back in the day...but its more like it was supposed to be a BBQ joint and at the last minute they changed their minds. White tablecloths would have turned the dining room up a notch in class there is no doubt. Plus the kids yelling up and down the stairs doesn't help. Do people not know how to control their kids anymore? You're not at Chuckie Cheese! Ugh.. pet peeve.

The waiters apparently really dumb down the menu for you. Not that it's a bad thing but they will explain what pancetta, arrabiatta, orecchiette, fra diavolo, risotto, etc without prompting. So be patient if you are well versed in italian foods, there are a lot of people out there that just aren't. So Bravo for educating the masses! if you're trying to impress a date, and you have no idea, you will not embarrass yourself here.

The menu, the prices match the tablecloths? Walking in you would have expected Mastros pricing, that is not the case..Youre looking at Bucca Di Beppo pricing.. $13 - $22 a plate. Now for the bigger shock.you're looking at  Claim Jumper portions! My fellow Yelper (Nick S) ordered a FULL order and when it came out it was ridiculous. His Bowl was comparable to...you know those giant Christmas Center Piece bowls that people fill with christmas ornaments? It was like that. His full order could have easily served 5! I had the half order and it was at least 2.5 servings and his dwarfed mine. Its well worth the pricing..

Now for the food... I started with the House Salad which could have been a dinner salad easily. It was very good except for the  unnecessary giant pepperoncini in the middle of it. I ordered the Rigatoni D and it was above average.. the mushrooms were the best part, absolutely amazing. It could have used some extra flavor such as lemon or crushed red pepper and the sauce could have been thicker but it was far from awful. (I had some leftovers a few hours later and it was MUCH better the 2nd time)Nick had the same reaction from his dish. We also had dessert and I was thrilled with the spumoni..no dried ....substitute chocolate chunks. He had the apple frittata and it left him quivering..lol He LOVED it.

My summary is its like someone dressed up and put makeup on Buca. Dont be fooled by the decor.. this is not a 5 star restaurant. But it is well worth it for the food, the service, the price and the people watching! Great for business lunches/dinners, catching up with a friend, taking the parents out, casual date night, birthday, great for a group event...but romantic I would steer you elsewhere

P.S. Any highschoolers out there reading this. This a a prime Prom Night pick!

Chop and Wok Gourmet Chinese

I have always wanted to go here. It looks so fun from the outside. FINALLY the time has come. The staff was extremely friendly, food was above decent and decent portions. Only two complaints in that area....No splenda, only Sweet n Low  and I asked for spicy and it wasnt even close.

I would have given it 3 stars but I can't because of the following: The bathroom: It was funky but filthy. It's 1120am and the trash cans are overflowing, there are empty toilet paper rolls scattered about and it smells. It was like a dressed up gas station bathroom. The garbage can next to our table was full and was dirty. There are tons of  things hanging from the ceiling that will catch your eye. the one that caught my eye was the giant chinese food container near the entrance and not far above from where we were sitting.. while cute and fun it was also filthy. This place needs a power wash..

I switched my Dental Insurance to a DMO, so I had to say goodbye to my favorite Dentist. Dr. Christakos. I searched Cigna's website in search of a new one and came across this place. It's close to home and work and the website couldn't be more frou frou, Lots of pink and pearls (im assuming paying homage to pearly whites? The website was clean, uncomplicated and inviting so I decided to give it a shot. Had my 9am appt and holy smokes I thought I was a morning person??Crazy friendly, excited.but not irritating or insincere. Was seen immediately, no waiting. All the bells and whistles Ive become accustomed to.(flat screen with remote at fingertips for my viewing pleasure). What I enjoyed most was that they numbed my mouth for the cleaning so I didnt feel uncomfortable! Even the part I hate most. the polishing with the "non fruity" fruit flavored stuff...didnt taste a thing! To top it off I was sent away with a purple swag bag (tissue deco included) It was as if l had just left a bday party with favors. This is my new favorite dentist!!

So my friend was convinced we needed to be at IMAX 2 hours before Avatar started and guess what?...we didn't. So to kill an hour  we headed to San Felipe's next door. I love the look of this place..it's flashy and fun.. tons to look at. On the agenda.. drinks..1/2 off anything normally $8 or under...Not a bad deal at all. My friend and I had the "Panty Dropper". You would assume this drink to be strong.. right? Nope..tasted refreshing but not potent. For food I ordered the "Shrimp PO Amigo" - 1/4 loaf of french bread, covered with shrimp cheese and garlic spread.. perfect. Summary I wouldnt go here to tie one on..it's typically pricey for drinks with low alcohol content..food is decent though. Great place to kill time.

Sears Auto Center

I lived right next to Sears Auto in Glendale and found that not only was their service good but their prices beat everyone out. So since I just moved to Scottsdale and  my AC is on the verge of going out and I decided to check Yelp for finding a new "go to" for my Automotive needs. The one I decided on was Kelly Clark Automotive. I told them my AC situation and they said it would be a min of $60 just to check it out. Well called Sears (at the location Im reviewing) and they said it would be free to "eyeball it". I drove in this morning and they did a full diagnostic, discovered 2 O rings were leaking and it needed a charge. The discovery was FREE as promised. I dont know about you but that beats paying  a minimum of $60 any day!! I remain loyal to Sears Auto!

I can't get enough of this pizza. Tonight I took my friend there for her birthday..started with the house salad which was crisp and refreshing.. the ranch was ranch and didn't taste like seasoned mayo.awesome. I ordered the lil margherita and couldnt wait to taste that sweet goodness they have for a sauce and lo and behold the margherita is a white pizza???? You know what? It didnt matter it was magnificent without the signature sauce. This place is the best pizza place in Phoenix...hands down

I have never actually sat down inside but Ive ordered out from here 2x. I think they're the best pizza in town..not for the crust..( I myself am a fan of doughy crust not deep dish but not thin either)...but for the sauce. It's fantastic. It has a hint of sweet to it which just makes it unique and delicious, I could drink it. Im not really a fan of the standard Heinz tomato sauce. THIS sauce has flavor and add garlic and spice, friggin perfect.
