had two shoes to repair

one had a sole that needed to be reglued. i can see teh glue, and it cost me $15. i could do a better job gluing.

another had a tongue that had to be resewn, i can see the (poor) sewing job, and it cost me $15. i couldnt do a better job sewing, but that's cuz i have no idea how to sew. anyone who does could have done a better job

if you like obnoxious downtown-y lawyer types in fancy dress pretending they have taste while spending too much money on mediocre food, you'll love this place.

if not, you might still like it. truffle fries are better than much in the area.

reasonable fare, for unreasonable fares. but aint that just the DC way.

friendly, community-oriented. feels real. beautiful space and murals.

if it were in st. louis, it'd be 5 stars. in ny, 3.

in dc, i think it's more like 4.5...
