I only know of this place because of the events that Adrienne @socialmediadc was having during HH. Other wise I probably wouldn't have known it existed in the first place. The service isn't that great and the last event was handled so poorly by the NEW manager that I'm certain to make sure no one else has  a local event there.

To all my fellow dc event organizers please don't do your after, before or during socializing portion of your event here. You will be disappointed and I surely won't be coming.

You have to be a bit of a dc political junkie to want to hang out here. I go mostly during lunch to get some work done and watch CNN.

If you show up on during one of the days they are giving out free food prepare to see a packed house and come early. You can always tell when that will be happening if you take a peak right around 3pm and see a table in the lobby area. How many HH places give you free food with your happy hour priced drink.

I'm currently the Duchess, writing this and it took me so long to do a review. I love the bartenders especially those that remember what I order as soon as they see me. Oh and the free wifi is a good reason to go as well.

This evening for HH after a very busy day we stopped by my second favorite place to relax, regroup and enjoy myself. Sadly, the service was meh!

Everyone that knows me, knows the two places to catch me or I will suggest they visit is Legal's first and the heights second. Tonight, would have made me embarrassed if anyone receive the service I did at the bar.

I would guess that the bartenders were new. I hadn't seen them before so part of me wants to chalk it up to newbism (one man and woman), but the other half which noticed there was barely anyone else at the bar to attend to and still we had to ask for EVERY drink. They never noticed we were empty and when we tried to get their attention it was like they were "trying" to avoid eye contact.

The only saving grace was the service at the door. The server and hostess was gracious and hospitable, which is the main reason I go here so often. I had a box I purchased across the street and the server offered to hold it at the door so I wouldn't be uncomfortable. That is the service from the heights I know and love.

So I won't send this to my social networks which includes 7k+ because of them. I am expecting to do another update, however based on today's experience there needs to be improved service before I do or recommend the heights again. Heads up, Billy and a special thanks goes out to the server and hostess that I met around 6:45pm, cheers.

I was told Chris is no longer there but tonight we had the #TrinityTweetup at the Heights. We couldn't reserve the community table for #HH which would have made this rating all fives but we did get birthday desert gifts for the Trinity. http://twtvite.co...

We just might have the next one here since we've decided to probably keep this going. The service was great! we had a ball and forgot it was happy hour. We had only the happy hour menu hummus, nachos, crab cake, & calamari, it was all delicious.

Thanks to the staff for a great Trinity (actually five of us were celebrating) Birthday.

I go here quite often during HH, it's one of the few places that has happy hour every day. I can get my pinot grigio at HH prices where other places try to charge me more but only putting Chardonnay on the HH wine list.

Love the sour dough bread and I usually get the crab cake (real non breaded) or mussels they are always great! The bartenders are the best especially Chris who always remembers my orders.( i.e the usual) or maybe I just go there too often ;)

nice Kinect lounge and I always love the fact that they always have four plugs in the ground under our seats during events

I went for the #DCtweetup and loved the way it was designed. Upstairs is perfect for events and I was happy to see that upstairs is accessible with an elevator at the front door and NOT around the back.

As usual I was there for #HH and staff was extremely helpful and cordial. They had a lot of people to cater to and I never felt ignored. Great Job. I will probably hang out there more often.

Just went to visit for lunch. It's a gorgeous place. The staff was so friendly. What I liked the best was the open stove. A mimic of a wood burning one. I was sitting at the bar watching them work it. It was awesome. Took a pic.

The food was great, I had the margherita pizza and oysters. Don't think they were expecting me to ask for them but they were happy to serve me. Hopefully more people will go asking for them during lunch. It seemed they were only thinking it was for happy hour.

I would definitely go back and visit, might stop by for HH.

We stopped in here because all the other places on the same street was packed and had 20 - 30 minute waits. I know some people would like to stay and wait because there must be a reason for it. I don't believe that or come from the idea that if everyone's doing it, it must be good.

The bar area was interesting but the most important part was that the service was great! The fact that there were very little people in the place meant that I didn't have to fight for service. The food was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely go back.

I know we went during one of the games with no intention on watching them, but I didn't think getting service would be a sport.

We received drive-by service at best, I guess we could have gone through a drive through and received a little more attention. Everything was a drop and go with out checking if we needed anything else or even looking at us. If we didn't catch our server (felt like I needed to tackle him at times) we would never have gotten through our meal.

The Mimosa's were mostly orange juice, don't even think there was champagne in it. My food was ok, nothing to cheer about. (oh yeah, I was never a cheerleader what am I talking about).

Probably won't go back unless I desperately needs to play contact sports with my meals. I don't think any other place will provide that experience for me.

Ok, first off, I showed up to a tech/networking event and was greeted by the launch of a beauty, something or other. (Yeah, I can admit, Geek first Cute Girl second). There were way too many women so I figured I had the wrong place. Once I made it upstairs and all the quirky (uncomfortable with me at first) guys showed up I knew I was in the right place.

The atmosphere is appealing but I looked at the menu and if it wasn't happy hour I don't think I would have been there. The second floor had more of an open space with a comfortable feel. Now that just could be I like a bar style environment. (is that the Geek or the Girl in me? dunno).

Downstairs is split into two rooms but the bar area is about 5 or 6 seats. Not enough for me. Upstairs there are no seats at the bar but the whole room is designed for a bar environment.

I didn't have any food so I can't comment on that. However, it is one of the few places that have HH 7 days a week. Not sure that is reason enough for me, but the service is great.

New: Hashtag #HH7 for happy hour 7 days.

I was here talking to staff about the 90 year anniversary for women's right to vote. This place is a maze and you would think would be all spruced up but no. It's like any government building in D.C. confusing and difficult to know which direction is the room your looking for.

There are two check points so you will not be able to slip through easily, so that's good but no one knows which way (including security) is best to go in the place.

Anyway I had a ball talking to Tina Tchen and to those that were online and engaged while we chatted. And yes, I would visit again if invited, why not?
