Yes, this place is THE BEST!
Saw it after my roomie moved in and we've been wanting to go here for the past 3 months and finally I stopped off here. And I am one happy little (metaphorically) guy. Cause this place was amazing.
It's super small, couldn't hold more than 20 people, but their selection of Brats is astounding, with your standard "German", "Swiss" (Which rocks!) to the more interesting "Swamp Thing" (alligator) or "Peking" (Duck and Fig).
Roland, one of the brothers who I met, was super cool and was very helpful and understanding of my lack of brat knowledge and had no problem educating me. He told me he personally goes to Europe every year to buy spices from those countries and then he makes the sausages here. He quoted himself saying that some Swiss guests loved his "Swiss" brat MORE than the Swiss Brats from Switzerland!
Also the sides are very good, try the chili and the potato salad they are delish. I wanted to try the "Spaetzle" but it was all out, next time BBs.
Over all a great experience.
Here are some notes:
- They have valet all day.
- They Deliver (minimum $15)
- BYOB
- And they have a buy 8 meals get 1 free cards, already got my two :D
And for you vegies out there they have a "Cheese Spaetzle".
I know I'll be ordering more from here in the near future.
They also have one of the "Yelp" stickers on their door, opposed to those who have the "No Yelpers" signs I've heard about.
So stop by Brat's Brothers for a delicious and filling meal of authentic Brats.
Enjoy!

Philadelphia Sandwiches
Category: Sandwiches
Neighborhood: North Hollywood
There sadly isn't any FREE parking near this place, but you can pay quarters at the meters. (There is actually parking on Vineland maybe a block down).
The decor is all 1950's pictures and memorabilia while the menu kiosk is like from the 1970's and the food is pretty good. They have pretty good steak, but without a whiz option I was teary eyed cause a steak sandwich needs some whiz.
As B.B. says, "its aight" and as Mike C. greatly says it "Best cali cheesesteak" and as JJ W says "This is no real philly cheese steak but this is one good sandwich they make".
So if you're in the mood for a meaty sandwich then come here, it's aight.
Enjoy.

Cigar Warehouse
Category: Tobacco Shops
Neighborhood: Sherman Oaks
- I just got onto their special events email list! Great Olivia Event a couple weeks ago!
- They also have the largest humidor in LA (I think also the western hemisphere) it's huge... you know how some say their whole store is a humidor? Well if it is everytime you open the door you let the humidity out... think about it.
- The Gandalf looking fella's name is David and he is as wise as Gandalf....if wizardry was made of honduran tabacco and a conneticut wrapper.
Enjoy this place after work, I do.

Holy bajeebus this place has some great cigars! Like DV said it has a very large humidor packed with wonderfully smelling cigars; everything from $4 Nubs to the $15 Rocky Patels. They also have an impressive number of humidors and accessories for sale at reasonable prices.
Also like DV said the customer service was only 3 stars for me at most, not helpful, but still friendly makes it a better than head shop quality of service. I know the one with glasses knew his stuff while the other looked like Gandalf smoking his pipe full of toby weed.... well tobac, but I giggled thinking of what it could have been.
I left with nothing, but knowing that there is a great cigar store that is less than a mile from my home, that warms me greatly. They also sell cigar boxes (some cooler than others) for cheap prices if you want to make a cigar box guitar like I want to.
So if you're in the neighborhood and see a bunch of hookas, go two doors down towards the 405 and you'll find the Cigar Warehouse waiting for you to enjoy one of their hundreds of fine cigars.

Third and Olive Restaurant
Categories: Mediterranean, French
Neighborhood: Burbank
I've only been here for banquets, but I will say this, their food is GREAT! I imagine myself here on a regular night on a date enjoying the ambiance and the food. The look is a darker, but warm feeling. The decor is wine bottles and dark wood, their bar is a good size able to serve about 20, with booths for those who like their privacy. Then across the front desk are more tables making the max capacity about 300.
They have a back area also, which they have a dance floor. I haven't been there to use it yet, but I bet some cut a rug or two while they're there.
Only concern, parking. But that's not a "problem" because Burbank is a public parking city, you just have to walk.
So walk over to 3rd and Olive, get a cocktail and enjoy the cuisine!

Alondra Hot Wings
Categories: American (Traditional), Barbeque, Pizza
The other thing that they ranted about were their wings, I got the 12 wings (half honey BBQ and the other half..... ATOMIC! all extra crispy) I was supposed to sign a waiver for ordering the Atomic, but I think they forgot about it so aaaawwayyyy I went!
.....nom nom nom......nom nom.......OH MY GOD MY MOUTH IS ON FIRE!!!!!! As I sipped my Dr. Pepper, I couldn't help but think that I had 5 more wings... so I pawned them off to those who were eating with me....(he he he suckers....)
One reaction was "My mouth is burning and I just licked my finger!"
Another was speachless and a tear.
The person across from me had just a quick nibble and "it was more than needed".
While the last person decided that "I'm smarter than to take part in your reindeer games"..... (she was the wisest of us all).
So to sum up. Sign the waiver before eating ATOMIC wings. 2nd get the pizzas they are a great deal. And lastly when you order drinks get multiple glasses cause the staff isn't the most attentive.
Enjoy.

OMG this place. Ok, first off, this place can be kinda intimidating the first time you go into this place; unless you speak mandarin chinese... which I don't. BUT that doesn't mean that you can have a FANTASTIC meal at NBC Seafood.
This is the Dim Sum Capital of LA (kinda like the Entertainment Capital of LA - Universal Studios) it's like an acre of restaurant with tables in 3 very large rooms. And they have the many carts that have lots of tasty treats to try, Everything from your A-typical shu mai to the eccentric bbq chicken feet to shark fin soup.
This is perfect for large groups to go and try dim sum or for the advanced eaters. But as far as I know the carts are only running on the weekends for the lunchtime rush-- and when I say "rush" I mean rush. There are literally what looks to be hundreds of people waiting to get seated here and here is the secret of getting ahead.... bring someone elderly. I know that's kinda shallow, but that's how we are.... it's like halftime at a Lakers game and there's a sale on beer, everyone wants one. So you do what you gotta do.
The only thing I have to let you know is the parking, get there early or you'll be searching for days, unless you get lucky. The parking lot is huge, but the entrance is far, so pick and choose how you want to go by this obsticle. Then again there's always carpooling with your friends.
So remember:
1 - Weekends = carts of delicious morsels
2 - Get there early to get seated
3 - If you forget 2, bring your grandmother
4 - ORDER EVERYTHING!
Enjoy!
Another negative that I think is it's size.... the valet guy said that at night there's a line around the corner that has a wait for an hour and a half, I can see why because it can only hold like 80 people, when other places I've been can house much more with just as many options and price.
The plus is their brisket is sooo good. It's the best I've had in LA.
It's sad because I see their ad in LA Weekly every week and it looks like such a great deal. It is, but with everything I dealt with I'd rather go to my other place.
One last thing that is a neutral comment is that their BBQ is a stone slab instead of the grill that I'm used to using. It made A LOT of smoke too and they didn't service the plate till 2 other tables left. poo.
Enjoy it or not, Korean BBQ is still good, but everyone has their faves, this just isn't one of mine.

Macy's
Category: Department Stores
Neighborhood: Sherman Oaks
I approached two CSRs (yes I used to do sales) and one was a manager, they both looked me up and down, rolled their eyes, then went back to talking to each other. Granted I was wearing a plain white T, Levi's and chucks, but I wasn't dressed down.
And this has happened multiple times with multiple sales reps, if the Northridge Mall wasn't so darn crowded and the Culver City Mall wasn't so far, I'd go to those places. . . . so if you want to buy something nice, buy it online, you'll skip the poor service, get the better deal, and get the good feeling that you were better than those who work in the Macy's boutique.
Thank you Macy's for ruining my holiday shopping, this time it wasn't the other shoppers but the shops. Next year I'm taking ALL my shopping to the Stoneridge Mall in Norcal, I miss my small town high end mall.

Nokia Theatre L.A. Live
Category: Arts & Entertainment
Neighborhood: Downtown
I saw Russell Peters here (a comedian) and I was blown away that I could sit in the nose bleeds and not have a pillar in the way, a comfy seat and an easy access way to my seat without rubbing my butt in everyones faces.
I will say that the box office works fast which is nice and the staff here are awesome. Super nice, super professional, and super courteous.
If you have a chance to come here to see a show, take advantage of the new LA Live restaurant area they have a bunch of cool places to eat and drink before AND after the show!
Enjoy!

And I agree with Anthony S. " the store window there is a sticker that says, "YELP LOVES US"' is always a GREAT sign!
