Stayed here between Christmas and NYE. The hotel was in a great location. It's a short walk to the sites but far enough away to not get wrapped up in too much of the tourist bs.
The hotel was nice. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros
- good location
- great bar
- comfortable bed
Cons
- no privacy in bathroom. The door to the shower and toilet has open cracks all the way around and is fairly see through. It's pretty much a shower door
- parking is expensive and free street parking is hard to come by

I couldn't say more about this place. I saw all the reviews on Yelp and decided to stop in last night.
I've walked by this place several times when I went to capital pub or j blacks but never went in mainly because I never saw other people go in the doors. Boy was I wrong. This place was packed!
We sat at the bar because we wanted to watch football. You can order the full menu at the bar as well as drinks and the bartender is very attentive.
We ordered the deviled eggs and the bar snack (meat, cheese and pâté). Wow! So wonderful.
The deviled eggs arrived first. They were a mix of sour and sweet and very tasty. The bar snack same next. It's huge! Three different cheeses, bread, some kind of sweet jam, olives and whiskey liver pate that may have been the best we had ever had.
Food A+ and Presentation A+. Cant wait to go back and try new things!

I am on fire mad about this place! I cracked my iPhone 4 screen today. I called the Apple store and specifically asked if they could fix my screen and how much it would cost. They said..."Yes. We can fix it." and "It will cost around $100".
So, I made an appointment at 5:10 and went out of my way to this location. I arrived early and it was packed. (but then again all Apple stores are). They stated there were no appt openings until my scheduled time so I left, shopped and came back at 5:10. At 5:40 someone FINALLY got to me. And what did they say? Oh..."We can't fix screens but we can sell you a new phone". WTF!!!!! Really!?!?! Why wasn't I told this BEFORE I drove out to Southlake and waited around???? I am fuming!

This is such a cute place.
It was right across the street from our hotel so after a long flight we decided to take it easy and check Pops out. Although all the tables were full, the hostess helped us find a place at the bar (very sweet considering the bar is usually a "fend for yourself" kind of seating arrangement).
I had beer, my friend had wine and we shared a cheese and meat tray.
I'd definitely come back. It's trendy yet low key and super cute!

What an amazing place!
I came to Chicago with a friend on vacation and her doctor recommended Volare to us. On our last day in the city we decided we would check it out.
Of all the restaurants we had visited on that trip, this place was by far the best! Wow!
It's small, warm, the waitstaff is friendly and the food is amazing. I got the a soup and salad. Both great! My friend go the lasagna. She described it as velvety. I wasn't sure what she meant until I tried it. It was so soft and tasty!
I highly recommend this place. It's great and very decently priced!

First of all, I rarely come here. Not sure why I don't but it's not on my list of places to go. I forget about it.
So last Thursday I decided I'd head to Idle. Not only was our waitress amazing and so sweet but I may have had one of the best blue cheese burgers of my life. Blue cheese STUFFED burger. Oh. My. Goodness! So good!

I thought the baristas were awful. They were short and they over charged me!
I rarely get starbucks but I sure do like the Pumpkin Spice Latte. So I ordered a grande with soy milk and was charge about $6. When I told my co-worker she gasped and said it should have been cheaper than that because that's what she gets.
I'm sad I had a bad experience.

Wow! What a house salad. Really! I think it's the Ranch. It's amazing! I go here just for the $5 salad and sometime a cup of tortilla soup (which doesn't disappoint either). One of the best salads ever!
