A great hotel that's super modern-isk with odd features that makes this place unique and worth visiting.  The bar is super cool, pool, water beds, and lounge furniture.  A great place to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy the view ;)

Their lobster burrito is off the hook! the best $7 I've ever spent.  You're getting a good amount of lobster in a burrito that isn't filled with ewy fillers (ie lots of beans or rice).
The rest of the menu is nearly as good and their avocado salsa sauce is sooo good!!

Highly recommended for anyone visiting San Diego!

Come here for the great view, leave for somewhere else for food or drinks considering the $$, but hey, you can't complain since the atmosphere and service is top notch.

late night eat near the union square area, super close to Ruby Skye, this is the only reason to come here.  I'm not really sure why it's on the7x7 list, it's not that great considering all the better ramen places in SF and South bay.

Likes: the combo of ramen and entree for about $15?  options for light or heavy broth, variety of food such as sushi, udon, soba, etc.
Dislikes: Ramen is too chewy, broth isn't that great.  pretty expensive for sub-par ramen (understandable since its in union square area).

Not recommended, pass.

Plus: Great mixology/drinks, menu changes, decent price considering the cocktail you are getting.
Negative: kind of loud, lack of seating/room, can get busy inside and at the bar.

For $7, you're getting a cocktail that's definitely not something you'll find at a club or regular restaurant.  The bartenders are friendly and talkative.  The place is small, but adequate for SF.  Decor is slim of 4 paintings and interior may be liked if you're of the horror villain variety, the walls are painted red.  Seating is mostly composed of scattered chairs.  Definitely not a place for the classy, but if you're looking for Olympia beer and a shot of whiskey or tequila for $7, sure, why not.  Another thing they have here is Sazerac, which is usually found in New Orleans.

I had the "killer bee" ? and it consisted of tequila, honey, lavender bitter, and grapefruit soda.  delicious! especially considering I'm not a tequila fan.

It's across the street from B&B, go!

On the way to the beach and looking for something quick to eat?
I definitely recommend the meatball sandwich here!
2 HUGE meatballs, cheese, sauce altogether never tasted so good.

A quick yelp search landed us here and this will now be one of my go to spots!
Inside is a variety of Italian goods, a small deli, and their own pastas.

They offer pastas fresh or flash frozen, a variety of hot and cold food for there and to go.  Seating inside fits maybe 10?

I ordered the meatball sandwich and my bro-date ordered a hot Italian sandwich.
Both sandwichs are both a handful and a mouthful.
I'd say the meatball tops the hot Italian.

The meatball is just so juicy, with so many different flavors.
The cheese is on the salty? end which helps bring out the flavors of the sauce and meatball.

All and all, a great place for meatball sandwich!

For cheap drinks, this is the place to go! Nearly every day, there is some sort of special going on.

Best for watching Sharks, catching happy hour, playing trivia, certain holidays, and just getting your drink on!

It's a simple no-non sense bar.  A couple of bars on tap and a regular array of alcohol.

The decor looks great and welcoming, but the staff is cold and unfriendly.  The lady behind the counter looks like she'd rather be on her laptop than to help us, we, being the only customers inside.

Usually, in cafes, there are people sipping on coffee, reading the paper, or crunching on their laptops all while there's background music going on in the background to make the place inviting.  Here, it's empty, quiet, cold, and without personality.

Price wise, for a place that specializes in Beignets, you'd think, you're getting great Beignets  or Beignets at a good price, but it is neither.  You're paying nearly $4 for 3 pieces of Beignets.

My recommendations:
have your employees enroll in some type of customer service or hire someone that's worked at Safeway or something
Put some light background music
lower your prices some
make the place more inviting
maybe have some type of special time to time

Cooking Papa Restaurant

LONG lines, Chinese folks screaming in Cantonese, and no personal space, this is truly an Chinese restaurant, add in the occasional, "what you want!" and I already feel like I'm in SF.

Ordered: Chinese rice roll with mushrooms, Cooking Papa beef brisket curry, wonton soup, and their signature egg puff.

Wait forever to order: check
get food in the weirdest order: check
get unlimited free tea (that's actually tasty and super hot): check

We get our beef brisket curry and it's okay, nothing special.  There's soft brisket, onions, bell peppers mushroom in the mix, the curry isn't anything different from what I could tell.  I'm not sure why they put their name in front of it if it wasn't that special to make them want to do that. Pass on this.

The wonton soup was actually pretty good, lightly flavored, mellow soup, and tasty noodles.  Worth ordering.

Rice rolls is something super cool here, they make this fresh in their kitchen.  The roll is of the right texture but the mushroom part, could be improved.  I don't' know which type of mushrooms used, but I would of preferred something with more flavor.  Worth ordering some other type of rice roll.

Egg puff- can't really explain it, but try it, you'll like it.   Try it!

Like Chinese atmosphere like you're actually in HK? go here! now!
