Had a babaganoush pita today. I wish the pita had been toasted but it was really flavorful. I felt like I was eating something healthy, which is a plus. The guy (or student) that made it was a bit sloppy, so it was a little messy to eat. Good overall.
A friend told me about this new taco truck in Sunnyvale and I decided to check it out. The owner used to work for Taco de Oro and decided to go out on his own. They are either on El Camino in front of Lozano's Car Wash or on Grape at El Camino across the street from Lozano's.
I ordered three carne asada tacos. I was blown away! The meat was really flavorful, the salsa was good too, but what puts these tacos over the top are the homemade tortillas. I haven't eaten tacos this good since the last time I was in Mexico. And they're only $1! That's a steal!
Of course I went home and told my family and we all went back to eat after church on Sunday. My parents and I had carne asada and lengua (tongue) tacos. My brother had a burrito and my sister had a torta. We were all more than satisfied with our meal.
They also sell bottled sodas. Tacos are always better with a bottle of Cola-Cola with real sugar.
This will definitely be a regular spot for me.

I've been here a few times and always had fun. So, I went for my birthday with friends. I called ahead of time to reserve a space but was told that they were expecting a party of 40(!) so they couldn't accommodate our group. That was a bummer.
We got there about 9:30 pm and were happy to find the bar area available, so we took that over. They got high tech since the last time I was there, with electronic cards you use to pick songs on a computer. I like the new system because it makes sure to give priority to people who haven't gone up to sing yet. I didn't get to sing all my songs but the system is fair.
The crowd was a bit dead when we got there but it picked up. I had a blast singing and dancing. The drinks are really strong! Can't comment on the price 'cause I didn't pay but I was good with just two rum & cokes.
Now that I'm moving to Japantown, I will be a regular here.

Took some fabulous lime green and silver stilettos from BCBG. I have really small and thin feet and the straps were a little loose. I wanted them to take in the straps. I took them on a Monday and the woman who helped me was really nice. She said she wanted to put an elastic in because she said the leather would end up stretching over time anyway. I was a little hesitant because the straps from the back were pretty loose. But I trusted her since she was the expert.
I went back a couple days later and it turns out I was right. The elastic felt good but looked a little funny. I wasn't satisfied with the work, so she kept the shoes and told me to come back the next day.
I went back, she had fixed them to my satisfaction and didn't charge me extra to do so. Me and my shoes have been out and about since then. :)

This review is not about the restaurant.
I was there this Saturday for a friend's birthday party. I liked the decor and the mini kobe burgers were good too, but that's about it.
The drinks were expensive. They didn't have the ingredients to make one of their signature drinks. The service was really, really slow.
They had told us this place did not turn into a club, but this place most certainly is a club. There were bouncers, a guest list, and a long line outside.
The music wasn't good and nobody was dancing when we left around 11 pm or so.
Finally, there was no diversity in this place.
I might consider going back for dinner, but not out for drinks.

My mom, sister, and I have all gotten hair cuts with Eldie. She's great. I got my hair colored and cut. She uses this dye called "Chi" that doesn't have ammonia, thus is healthier and more environmentally friendly. The color turned out great and has kept up nicely. My mom also got her hair colored and was very happy.
My mom and I got our hair trimmed, but my sister went for a more styled cut. It turned out really cute!
We'll all definitely be going back.
You can call Eldie to make an appointment at (650) 814-3849

I've been there twice now. The first time I went was for happy hour. The Mezcalrita was delish and so was the quesadilla appetizer. I went to dinner there a couple of weeks later with some friends. We had the sampler platter as an appetizer and mezcalritas. Again very good.
Since this is a Oaxacan restaurant I ordered the chile colorado enmoladas with tasajo. It was delicious! The red mole was really flavorful and had a little kick and the meat was really good too.
Some folks here have complained about the portions, but I think the portions are just right.
I will definitely go back!

The bbq pork sandwich is delicious and so cheap! The bread is nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love the mix of cilantro and green chile. Yummy! The sesame seed balls are good too!
I haven't tasted all the other sandwiches and sweets they have, but I don't doubt they are just as tasty.

I must confess the only yoga classes I have taken have been at a gym. This is a totally different experience. The teachers come up and introduce themselves if you're new. They do a good job of explaining the philosophy behind the class... particularly in the beginner classes. As a beginner, I really appreciate that.
I was looking for a place that focused more on the spiritual/meditative aspect of yoga. Most classes I've taken are only about the exercise. This place does a good job of calming the mind and helping restore the body. I feel so relaxed after classes... and after 3 days in a row, quite sore.
The space is really nice. I like that it's close to downtown. Just a short drive from work for me. I also like that they have changing rooms in addition to bathrooms.
It can get a bit noisy and distracting when folks come in late for class or when the door opens in the middle of class and you can hear street noise. Parking can also be annoying (you need to have change for the meters).
Overall great place to practice.

The first time I went my soup was a little bland but that's because I didn't ask the waitress for help seasoning it. The next time, I asked for the spicy miso, just a dollar extra, and asked the waitress to season it for me. Wow! it was delicious!
I love the flavor and all the veggies you get with your meal. I've gotten the kobe beef which is great. I've also had their Mabu Tofu Don... so good! It's now one of my cravings. The BBQ Unagi is also very good.
This place hits the spot when you need something warm and comforting. Definitely becoming a regular.
