Patrick's is great for when you want some home cooking but don't want to do the work. We always start with an order of the corn dip or some fried pickles, which are slices--not spears--and probably my favorite in town. Plate lunches are reliably good with big portion sizes and a lot of options for sides. I'm told the burgers are good but have yet to try one.
My only complaint about Patrick's is the tea party/anti-Obama paraphernalia that decorates the bar area. I know it's the owner's prerogative to decorate his bar however he pleases, but the political stuff just makes me uncomfortable when I'm just trying to enjoy a meal.

Liquor options are limited by the lack of an actual bar, so it's best to stick to wine or sake. There are a lot of creative rolls on the menu, but the sushi is usually just all right, never mind-blowingly good. Two specialty rolls, a seaweed salad and one cocktail ran me (just me) $32. I know Memphis is landlocked so the fish will cost more. But I can spend the same amount on a meal I'll rave about for days at any fine-dining restaurant in town.
